Hello modders, This morning the game crashs as soon as I click on the GRAW2 icon: Crash in application version: 0.2989 Custom level bundle trrpack contains an invalid file path Oh Lightspeed is the culprit ! But: - TRRPack is installed since its release and worked perfectly since today. - Yesterday evening before going to bed I have installed BSR maps (castle_day.bundle / mayhem_addons_tdm.bundle / mayhem_castle.bundle / mayhem_tdm.bundle). => The solution is to delete castle_day.bundle from the BSR zip and everything works fine including castle_day. Map version conflict, path conflict ?
  2. GRAW2's dynamic shadows don't work well (low = graph bug, medium/high = crash) with the 162.18 driver on Nvidia Series 7 GPUs . Use the 94.24 version. And I feel the game smoother with 94.24 drivers.
  3. About stock maps vs mods: I remember [GR] games serveral years ago on *PR* (predator ?) server. They used stock maps but with different colors or different times, without the need to download them. I think it was a sort of software hack or hex edit because I never saw these modifications on another server. Each game was a challenge. Random time/weather/fog (and insertion of course) should be an option on stock maps for diversity and surprises. I am also for custom mods and maps, and think that they should be the only and default mode on 4-5 clan servers during 1 week to force the mod as a "standard". Every evening I'm looking for a server with this TRR mod but I cannot find one... btw good job Lightspeed, I have already downloaded the new one (34 maps) and hope to find a server one day
  4. No GL because it is frustrating. And fog . Fog is useful to balance snipers and increase chance to go behind enemy lines.
  5. Hello from France, I am also very happy with these custom maps. [GR] sensations are slowly but surely coming back ! Now I only miss foggy maps. I hope to see some on clan servers and a "weather patch" from GRIN. Very good work, thanks a lot !

GRIN should provide a "nature map pack" (official or from the community) that includes maps in open areas, with trees, nature etc... : the game will be automatically less violent and a recon-like gameplay will emerge. Tanatos clan has excellent maps with lot of trees and bushes. I sometimes have the GR1 feeling in their maps. Alternance of urban maps (official maps / BDA maps) and nature maps is the solution. You can play BDA maps on BDA server, and Tanatos maps on Tanatos and Germany Ghosts servers.
  7. I think it is an OEM version. Retail price is still 50€ in France, but OEM versions are available for 15€ (if you buy 100€ of hardware).

  12. The game seems to have better effects on XBOX, and I'm surprised to see the green color. Am I right or is it my old 6600GT grapgic card's fault ?
  13. Like a lot of players, I'm tired of playing GRAW because I can't play without being disconnected or a client crash. Let's be constructive and please post in this thread your crash reports.   14. Thanks a lot for your help, I thought it was a GRAW client problem ! Auto-download is a helpful feature for europeans. I remember I was not able to download custom maps on an italian clan web site because I don't understand their language.
  15. A have no problems with that. I would like a feature for servers admin or map designers to move the siege zone to another spot, without having to re-download the whole map: Imagine all the fights/tactics available !
  16. Auto-download does not work for me. For example, instead of a 5 MB map, there is a 4 KB file. I had to re-download maps manually on BDA web site.

  19. I agree. I don't like the symetrical (or almost symetrical) MP maps. In GRAW, SP maps are big. They could be splitted in multiple smaller maps or offer the option to have random spawn for diversity and surprises. An example of very good MP map is the first SP map of GR1 with the spawns at different altitudes.
  20. The hope is back on this screenshot: Clans from GR1, limited number of players, limited number of respawns (or no respawns), HH/LMS. GRAW is slowly going in the right direction but it still needs help from UBI/Grin. It is time to release the missing non-yellow non-urban maps and server tools. I hope it will be in the next MP pack. (Sorry for the ugly screenshot. I play on an Athlon 64 3000+ 6600GT, windowed 1024x768 all details low, and worst of all French language )

  23. It is easy to explain: You are a respawn killer and you are visible on the map ! Haha ! The "van incident" is also easy to explain: You was in the US team, wearing the yellow jacket. In front of a yellow van you're almost invisible. This is the urban advanced "in-front-of-a-van" GRAW camouflage texture.
  24. Is it possible to download this Direct2Drive version and use the key from my DVD version ?
  25. I'm most concerned about rootkits than random viruses. Many rootkits ans malwares are not detected by antivirus software. This is just basic security. I hope someone (a 3rd party player for example) will provide these maps in a zip file. I never open executables email attachments.
