    Hello all.

    First off, I'm not whining, I'm just green!!!

    I've had GR since release and have never uninstalled it. I've played all the mods and am a frequent visitor and, I like to think, contributor to this forum.

    I've never bothered to play online before (dial up was pointless), however , I've just got an ADSL connection and fancy a go.

    I joined a game via gamespy today (Team Last man standing) and frankly didn't have a clue. I got killed 3 times in quick succession and when I rejoined was told to "feck off". When I explained that this was my 1st time I was told to "get on the ###### sensor, noob"

    Needless to say I panicked and disconnected.

    Anyway to the point, can anyone give me some online advice, rules, tips etc

    Mods Cause Game To Not Load

    I had this problem a while back with Free Libya and was advised to do the following.

    Uninstall everything, then

    Install GR, DS, IT and then the latest patch (1.4 at the time) in that specific order.

    Then install mods.

    Remembering to prioritise the mod you wish to activate.

    It sometimes helps to deactivate unused mods.

    It may all seem obvious but wasn't to me at the time

    After a chat with another forum member he suggested I post a message. Nothing serious, just a bit of fun.

    My father is 67 and has just completed GR & DS.

    I've just ripped him a copy of Free Libya among others cos he can't get enough.

    Anyone out there as old!!!

    He won't thank me for that last statement.

    I've been trying to download frostbite for weeks but my 56 connection says no as do my download accelerators.

    Usual story my connection dies halfway through and I can't find a site that lets me use accelerators.

    So is there anyone in the uk that can burn me a copy of frostbite and any other large mods for that matter.

    I finished Free Libya/Russia/12 weeks etc a while ago and need a fix.

    I'm in the same boat. I'd love Frostbite as well as a few others but DAP & Star don't seem to work anywhere anymore, all that I get when I try to download with them is a 6kb text file.

    The Windows download manager is no good (for anything of frostbites size) as my connection just won't hold for that long.

    Has anyone any suggestions. Other download managers/somewhere I can burn a copy etc

    Long time not here. Hello again.

    Just downloaded Angolan Angst and love it. Well done that man.

    However, can the fella in the second objective of mission 1 be secured??

    I've played it a couple of times and the outcome is always his death & consequently objective failure.

    I know the mission can be completed but I want the specialist.

    I will email the creator too.

    Hello.

    Just encountered a problem I have probably just forgotton how to rectify.

    I have GR,DS & IT patched up to 1.4 with the Harntrox, Phantom, Standard Upgrade & 12 weeks mods installed (all recent versions). Whenever I try to play the original quick missions (i.e.Plantation, hunting lodge etc) I crash to desktop. Harntrox and 12 weeks are fine. I've tried deactivating the mods and increasing the priority of DS & IT to no avail.

    Help me oh wise ones, you are my only hope!!
