Yes, it will. I hope that if it becomes popular enough, that all servers would run it.

Far-fetched dream, but it could happen.
-
My fingers are crossed.
But, if it doesn't release tommorow, no biggie for me. I have DoD: S and UT2K4 to accompany me

-
Hmmm... I'll have to start the game over again on Hard, I find Normal to have a lack of amount of enemies.
-
oh btw agent-smith, could you implement a feature that makes the dead bodies stay? I know its possible, ive seen someone else do it, but I dont recall where. I think it could be a nice addition to your mod! What do you think?
what do you say about this?
Looking for that now, I'll add that in version 2.0.

In case if anyone wonders what my Effects Mod is:
http://www.ghostrecon.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=36257
Look in data -> objects -> beings -> common -> common.xml
Look at this:
<decal_surfaces> <ds_mesh object="coll_Head" material="head" hidden="true"/> <ds_mesh object="ds_helmet" material="helmet" hidden="true"/> <ds_mesh object="coll_Spine1" material="padding" hidden="true"/> <ds_mesh object="coll_Spine2" material="padding" hidden="true"/> <ds_mesh object="coll_Hips" material="flesh" hidden="true"/> <ds_mesh object="coll_LeftArm" material="flesh" hidden="true"/> <ds_mesh object="coll_RightArm" material="flesh" hidden="true"/> <ds_mesh object="coll_RightForeArm" material="flesh" hidden="true"/> <ds_mesh object="coll_LeftForeArm" material="flesh" hidden="true"/> <ds_mesh object="coll_LeftLeg" material="flesh" hidden="true"/> <ds_mesh object="coll_RightLeg" material="flesh" hidden="true"/> <ds_mesh object="coll_RightUpLeg" material="flesh" hidden="true"/> <ds_mesh object="coll_LeftUpLeg" material="flesh" hidden="true"/>
This was my fix in order to stop the decals from dissappearing when a Ghost/enemy went from a live person to a ragdoll. It crashed my game.
Anyone have some proper fixes to this?

Step 1 for people to take you seriously: Don't post in all caps for the keypoints.
-
You cannot make a tac sim out of an arcade shooter
Yes you can. Insurgency mod for HL2 is a great example.
-
I guess you didn't play against smart players then.
-
Ill call you out on that one and dont doubt my credibility.

There was almost no grass in AA. There was only like 2 maps that even had vegitation for hiding in and even then you never could hide very well.
You can hide in Mountain Pass, Mountain Pass SE, SF Taiga, SF Arctic, Woodland Outpost, FLS Assault, and Mountain Ambush.
-
What was the last tac shooter any of you guys played that allowed you to hide in the grass and not be easily seen, because the camo was effective?
America's Army.

When will these ######ing trolls get the hell out of this forum?
This is 85% of the posts I see in the GRAW forum:
"WAAAAH! GRAW ISN'T A DIRECT CLONE OF [GR]!1!1 GRAW DOESN'T HAVE THE INSANELY ANNOYING GIGANTIC MAPS WHICH CAN BORE YOU!1! WAAAAAH!!!"
And this comes to mind:

This is what I want to do:

-
GRAW was not built to be a successor to [GR].
-
From my experiments, the key reason why this game performs so badly is because of resolution. I did some tweaks in the renderer_settings.xml in the Data/Settings folder, and it detected my video card again.
It had the resolution on 800x600, but damn, was it performing GOOD. It also closely to my previous tweaked .XML, but the tweaked one didn't run as good.
-
I added that bodies never dissappear? I thought it was moving them. Unless I changed something by accident..
-
Good game, but needs some more serious attention before it can be called a worthy successor to GR classic...
GRAW was never built to be the successor to [GR]. People need that drilled into their heads.
-
- View Distance slider. I have a feeling this is the key reason most of us are getting such craptacular performance. With proper tweaks, we'd be able to get the game running smoothly. Who cares about the outside of the map when you're more concerned about finding the next guy to slaughter in DM?
- When turning off post effects, NVGs should not be taken away. This is key when you're playing Suburbs without Post Effects. You won't be able to see anything.
- DM: Spawn point problems FIXED. Meaning, you no longer spawn near a player, but in a random spot.
- DM: REMOVAL OF ALL TACTICAL POINTS TOGETHER. The current Class System all together is superior to CS's weapon buying. Let weapon buying stay in CS, I don't want it in GRAW.
- DM: Addition of HIT INDICATORS. Yes, you may cry, "USE YOUR EARS, FOOL!", but, how do you know where the camper is? How would you know where you're being shot from? A replacement for hit indictators would have to be "Miss" sounds. What this means, if a round misses you and is close, you'll hear a "VOOM", symbolizing that you're being shot.
-DM: Spawn protection is DEFAULT, AND CANNOT BE DISABLED.
- Addition of TDM with SPAWN PROTECTION BY DEFAULT.
- Addition of more video options to tweak without having to go into the renderer_settings.xml.

Those are 120 KB & 150 KB, really damn tiny.

I remember finding the source of the tracers when I was randomly looking through the .XMLs one day. I don't remember exactly where it is, but it's somewhere around the Weapons folder, in a common.xml. I un-installed the game, so I won't be able to find it.
-
HL2 is a lot older than GRAW. You should expect better preformance on it.
Hitman: Blood Money was released after GRAW, yet it runs remarkably better.
-
5. Sounds. It says DolbyDigital in gamecase?
I just looked at my GRAW box. I saw the logo. I looked at my Far Cry and Sands of Time box: Same logo.
I thought Dolby Digital was for HOME THEATER, not PC GAMES.

I dont know I guess i hear alot of people complaining about this game, but 95% of their complaints are about the MP mode. I am happy with the SP mode and I dont play MP until i finish the singleplayer campaign
Yeah, MP's severely broken. I just shelved the game so I can wait for GRIN to optimize the game more so I can fully enjoy the SP, or until I get my complete new upgrade.
-
I take your opinions of [GR] as valid with one caveat. Did you play [GR] when it first came out?
Let's see, 5 years ago, I was ten years old.
Thinking...
I think I first played it a year after it was released.

It means that you have 2 different cars... If you were expecting the 2007 Chevy to be the 2002 Chevy, then you should've bought the 2002 Chevy instead of the 2007. But, if you were wanting the 2007 Chevy to be exactly like the 2002 Chevy, you'll be disappointed, because they changed the look and feel of the 2002 Chevy.
IF GR:AW was GR1, then GR:AW would be GR1.
You've got 2 cars, both are Chevy's... One is a Malibu, the other is a Corvette. Same Manufacturer, but 2 different cars.
Winner post.

Call me old school but I NEVER buy a game because of its MP platform, Granted its a plus when the MP aspect of the game is good and I do like coop mode but I will never buy a game that has a crappy SP mode even if it were the best MP game on the market. I guess what im trying to say is that there are still some SP fans who buy games for the SP mode
I am one of those "Old school" guys as well. I did a recent comparison in my collection a few days ago, and I noticed that 85% of my collection I own was mainly due to SP. But, I play MP more than SP. That got me wondering, "######? I'm a SP dude! Not MP!"
Better on Hard
in GR:AW (PC) - General Discussion

Ran the game on hard last night.
I didn't notice an increase in tangos, but I did notice that they are more like soldiers and they will give you a decent firefight, even if they're alone.
