  1. Eh, I started modding simply because there was some stuff lacking in the game that I wanted, for example, blood on bodies and a bigger blood cloud. Next thing I know, I'm modding all of this physics stuff, adding decals that last forever, figuring out how to get empty casings to stay on the ground, looking for code that tells a particle when it's colliding to get splattering blood, etc. And this is the first time I've ever modded.
  2. If UBI/GRIN releases their patches around the same time of the month, I would say to expect the patch to come out this week, or the first five days of August. Don't quote me if I'm wrong.

Here's what Version 2.0 will have: - Edited Weapon names (See below for the changes). - Blue corners in the HUD are now removed. - Blood decals on bodies will now stay on the bodies when the NPC dies.   5. Eh, the best consultant that someone has is him/herself. Why? They are the one playing, they are the one that has the power to stop. I managed to break two of my largest addictions ever by myself: My 825 hour WoW spree, and my gigantic Halo 2 addiction on XBL. How did I do it? I just threw the game in my closet. That was it.

  10. Hi there. Are you sure there are no other folders in the Local folder? If there are other folders, delete them. From what I've seen, these folders somehow disable the mod from running. You also might have to take the edited files out from the English folder and put them in the Spanish folder.   12. I play SP and MP the same way: Ears and eyes at 100% awareness, and finger is always on the trigger. I'm constantly checking my flanks, looking around, walking, not sprinting. The second I see an enemy, I either crouch, raise my sights, and fire off a burst, or get behind cover, lean out, raise the sights, and burst again. If I'm caught in a CQC battle suddenly, I don't crouch and stay still. I move around, switching from crouch to standing positions multiple times. This saved me many times in AA.

  14. Did you see the first AA shot? In the scoreboard, your name is highlighted in yellow, so I am ==-Hitman-==. My original AA name was Solid_Raven, which I registered back in 1.9, mainly because I finished MG2: Substance the time I registered in AA for the first time.

  16. RTCW: Not the type of military FPS that I meant. SWAT 4: See RTCW. Close Combat: Fails to be realistic, even if it can call itself realistic. Clunky movement, firefights that lack feeling, and half-assed voice acting plague something that could've kicked ass. BF2: See RTCW.   17. Indeed. Most of the hardcore [GR] players haven't played any other "Military themed" online shooter, so to speak. GR is just one out of many. GR is not the king of military FPSs. In terms of popularity, CS is.
  18. Go ahead if you want. IMO, the current title is basically the start of a flow. The user reads the topic title, and looks in the original post. He sees someone making a comic based on the game that the certain website is based on. The user then understands what the original poster means by "spreading the word." EDIT: Work has already begun on the first volume. I've already made the first four pages, the cover, the storyline page, the pic posted in the original post, and another pic. I'm now going to load up Garry's Mod to do some more work.
  19. First shot of my comic 100% based on GRAW, and I'm doing my best to capture the GRAW look and feel, including having such details down to the damn weapons that the Ghosts and enemies use. This is made in Garry's Mod, if anyone can't tell.

  21. Now, I have a theory going on in my head about getting blood from the form of a cloud to being a splat of blood on the wall. As some of you may know, having a PhysX card allows you to see sparks that BOUNCE. I have been looking for this code in the e_bullet_hits_physx.xml, which allows the sparks to detect that it's colliding with something. No luck so far. My theory is that if I add this code that allows detection of collision, I will be able to slap a decal of blood on any surface. So, if only would like to help just by looking for "collision" or "physics" in ANY physx.xml, fee
