  1. During the Tank battle in Ready for Bear...I had a CTD with following errors:

    Mods running are:

    Agent_Smiths More Blood

    Vth F Smiths Realism Mod.

Looks like it's AI-based, because look at the path: units\ai. Upgrade to the latest version of F. Smith's Mod, and see if that fixes it.

  2. If I remember correctly, the 1.16 patch was released on a Wednesday. I think it's safe to say we could expect the patch to be available within several hours.

That is correct, so was 1.2. That's why I predicted it was going to be released today, and whenever Gamer's Hell puts something up for download that isn't released yet, that means it's being released the same day it was posted.

  3. Then i installed patch 1.20 and Agent Smith's blood mod which I did not like as it made kills fly off a-la-Matrix.

How did it make GRAW look like the Matrix?

I just released Version 2.0 yesterday, and I added blood that stays on bodies.

On topic: Are there any other folders in the Local folder, such as German, Spanish, etc. ? If so, delete them. I had that problem before when mods wouldn't load up, and I got rid of those folders, and then they worked.

Also, the A/C that GRIN correctly has implemented won't allow you to play online with any mod unless the server has it, which I doubt any would.

  4. Can't wait to try this, this game really needed this effect.

Which bits of the mod folder are required for the bllod effects? As I have other AI mods etc, I'm guessing effcts objects and textures folders?

Wasn;t sure what the global_ai changes did though?

The blood cloud is under Effects, the blood on bodies is under Objects.

I have no AI changes, so you can use the AI stuff along with my mod, as long as your previous mods don't have the same edited .XMLs that are included with my mod.

  5. Like I said, it's pointless to argue with you. [GR]'s gameplay smokes GRAW's. If you'd like to pick things apart how come GRAW has only a 70Â degree FOV? So much for "full body awareness" when your RL in focus vision approaches 120 degrees and many people have 180 degree peripheral vision. Why when the gun is shouldered does it look like the shooter is pulling his head back as far away from the sights/scope as possible?

I love how you guys who've never handled firearms speak up about how real it is to have the gun on the screen.

1st paragraph: Play more than just the GR series and say that again. FOV problems? Buy a widescreen monitor. Also, even when you're in ironsights, you still see your weapon, and soldiers always see their weapon when they're not firing, unless they're sprinting. The thing about "his head back as far away as possible", this is a ****ing game. I suggest you go back to target practice.

2nd paragraph: No matter what you're doing, you still see your weapon.

  6. se·quel Audio pronunciation of "sequel" ( P ) Pronunciation Key (skwl)

    n.

    1. Something that follows; a continuation.

    2. A literary, dramatic, or cinematic work whose narrative continues that of a preexisting work.

    3. A result or consequence. See Synonyms at effect.

why does it have the same name then?

Your point is flawed. The definition says no where that there cannot be any change whatsoever.

  7. How can you sit there and say for the better?!??!?!?!? What makes it better then the original and dont give me "oh its updated physics and graphics"

Urban combat. That's what. There's a sense that you're always being watched because you're in a city, and ever corner needs to be checked to see if there are enemies because of the large-scale that GRIN portrayed Mexico City. In [GR], you can see your enemies three hundred feet away and pick them off. In GRAW, the closest you can see them is a hundred and fifty feet away, and by the time you see them, they see you and fire, starting the thick firefights of what urban combat is known for.

My ideal fighting area is urban combat. Everything and anything (besides litter) can be used as cover. Cars, rubble, destroyed walls/buildings, trees, steel gates, anything that is standing and can take a round. In open fields, you have no cover. There's no sense of rounds whizzing by your head. It's either you're hit or you hit & take them down.

  8. GRAW is a sequel. Try dictionary.com to see what sequel means. GRAW barely resembles the original.

Just like GTA 3, Hitman: Blood Money, and Oblivion barely resembled their originals. Did they fail? No. Instead, they were better than their originals (Not in Oblivion's case), and came out to be more successful then them.

GRAW got a change for the BETTER. You can see it in the sales of the only two platforms that GRAW was released on that were actually good. The PC and 360 versions sold over a half a million copies. How many did [GR] sell?
