I've been doing ok in SP with the SCAR H on single shot. I run out of ammo if its on full auto. I usually take the silencer, aim point and grenade launcher.
Unlike the L model the tangos usually stay down after you shoot them in the head.

I understand the need for some people to be led to the objective in the shortest time/route possible but sometimes it gets pretty restrictive. On VIP 2 is down for example I wanted to position either myself or one of the AI behind the Embassy to deal with any threats coming that way. Your less that 100 meters from VIP2 and right on the edge of the embassy when you get the boundary warning. Plus after you've played this game 100 times already you like to explore different ways of doing the mission rather than rush straight in frontal assault.
If you don't like going the long way don't but if you want to try alternative ways of completing the mission you should be able to with out running in to inviable lines.
-
I have to agree, and another thing that bugs me is the "You're leaving the mission area" Good grief in RL we are not bound to some invisible line that if we cross we die.

Push them, it may take a couple of times.

On all maps that I've played, when I've fired the GL, I immediately crash to desktop.
Is this in Multi cause in SP I have not seen this problem yet and I've fired a lot of GL nades.

I thought the editor was ugly and non user freindly.
I have only ever used one Map Maker and Editor program that was easy to understand and use right from the box and that was in Mechwarrior 4. The rest were something I felt I had to have a college degree in order to use it.
Maybe thats a good thing because then only someone whos very serious about making quality maps and missions will bother learning.

Wing Commander - Heart of the Tiger (iirc) had lots of video in it.

Does this also catch you up on any previous Patches/Fixes or do you have to install the previous patches?
-
Well the obvious one would be to see what issues were brought up and then not fixed so the real bit*&^&^* can start.

-
If they had not put Ghost Recon in the title and just went with Advance Warfighter or whatever they would not be all these bad feelings. Cause compared to every game I have bought recently this game is great, its just not Ghost Recon.
-
When this new patch is released those of us from the team I belong to will test it. If as ZA says it is the 20+ people who held off buying this game because of what those of us who did buy, told them it was not the Co-Op as we want it, will not buy this game.
If the game is as TowAngel says we are still going to have a hard time getting them to buy the game because of all the bad PR.

Considering that you can't even buy a PC now with a 3.5 floppy unless you special order it, and the fact that I personally haven't used a 3.5 in 5 years. I built the damn thing with out a 3.5 so yeah it was a problem to go out and find a 3.5 last minute to stick the damn thing in to run probably the only program it will ever run. If it ain't capable of being installed from the CD/DVD Drive then I don't want it.

DO NOT get the IDE drive. It's a waste. Go with Serial ATA II, 16MB cache.

Best 120$ you can spend. You will notice the load difference and make everyone jealous with that one... especitally if you get all these GRAW mods.
I have a SATA drive in the current computer I built. I have had no problems with it other than the initial installation. Remembering that it was not plug and play friendly I did not want another SATA drive till they no longer need third party drivers in order for them to work properly.

Overall rather nice Fletch, but there's only a few things I'd change about it.
Video card - by the end of the year there should be some DirectX10 cards out.
CPU - Price/performance wise, you'd be better off getting a E6600.
Sound Card - Use a little extra money and go with a X-Fi of some sort. The sound is a lot better than an audigy.
RAM - This is a big thing.....I'd get DDR2 800 instead of DDR2 533.
I hadn't thought about DX10, so thats a good idea. The CPU I looked at the 6800 and 6600 and felt that for the performance the 6700 was the better price performer. I used the performance charts at Toms Hardware to check the differences. I had heard some people complaining about the X-Fi and wasn't sure if I should go that way. Is there a particular card you favor? Damn that was a screw up on the RAM, I thought I was getting DDR2-800, I messed up on that one. My only other concern was the case being able to fit the PS as big as it is. It was one reason I went with the same maker, but they give no size limit info on that.

This is my wish list from NewEgg, I'm hoping to have this by the end of the year. If this can't handle it nothing will.

I had one some time ago and it did the following two things:
1.) slowed my computer down considerably in GRAW.
2.) Greatly enhanced the visuals that use physX in the game.
So for those in the know, or just want to guess, how soon can we expect the PPU card to work well enough that it does not slow the system down but speeds it up? Or is it a matter of building a new system to handle the PPU?
-
They are currently working on the CO-Op patch right now, so hold on for a little bit and it should improve.
-
Thanks for all the answers guys, it makes sense. I guess next question might be even if you take a performance hit with it are you seeing better graphics / visual effects?
-
I don't mind that they may be making money off it, thats just good business.
I just want an answer to the original question from the folks who should be in the best position to give us a reliable answer.
-
Is there some reason why we can't get an answer to this question from the folks who made the game?
-
GRAW is compatible w/Vista...on the other hand, your Ageia PPU is not, see below.
I don't plan on getting a PPU card or reinstalling the Drivers unless I have to, but still would like an answer to the original question.
-
what is all the hush hush about. this is all stupid to me. I paid $50.00 to play hush hush? Howbout ending the kiddie ###### & finish the game.
Because something they may put in the Beta which people wanted may not make it through the testing process. That might cause people who were not involved in the testing process who have no clue as to what happened to start another round of complaining over why it was removed. (just guessing)

-
I have the same questions as MadMike and think an answer by someone with GRIN about the PhysX drivers is not unreasonable to ask for.
I for one removed mine when I was having all the crashing problems and did not notice any improvement or degradation in the game. I figured I might as well leave them off since they seemed to provide no value.

I liked what they did for Americas Army by putting in the waver of the weapon from breathing and how it increased or decreased depending on how fast or slow you were. They also had the bloom effect but it wasn't as slow as GR. I have always hated the sight bloom but accepted it as it was better then the CS style of play.

That would be a welcome change for me.
