If there ever is a a new GR of any type I would request that you and you team get and play the [Ghost Recon] with IT/DS and all the patches. Pay attention to how the game is built, the way its designed to include the openess of the maps and missions that can be approached from any angle or out of order. Those are the features that most of us want in this game. There is also the game play but I think we have all resigned ourselves to the fact we will never see another great tactical shooter of the likes of GR again, due to the fading of us old timers and the fact we're out numbered by the hy

You guys added that ability in the last patch or are you talking about modding the game, which alot of us don't know how to do.

Pre-made kits $@#$, let the server admins decide what weapons to restrict.

I have waited years for a sequel to the Great Game that was Ghost Recon, in the mean time I was given GR:AW which I had a lot of fun with but it was not Ghost Recon and got put on the shelf after playing it 1 time. Then came along GR:AW2 and I had fun playing it as well but Again it was not Ghost Recon. Maybe There will soon be a GR:AW3 but I will not have fun playing it because I won't buy it untill I read in this forum from the Experienced [Ghost Recon] players that the gods have finally smiled upon us.

If you can't revert back (system Restore) then do a clean install up to the 1.4 patch.

Rabbi, you're right it is very good I was being factious as I was getting a bit frustrated with someones inability to understand why I would want to play the CoOp version. I wish the kit selection in MP was exactly like SP with the exception of the Server Admin having control over banning certain weapons.

Again, it's a Coop mission. Not made to be played alone. SP is for playing alone. There has been loads of complaining that there isn't enough need for cooperative play in GRAW2, and now you want to remove part of the cooperative gameplay that is there... I think I can rest my case there. Really, so you put Retrive (Or any one of the other 3rd party CoOp maps) in the SP line up with this patch. Or do you need to take your case and put it elsewhere. Erh, no. I said Coop is not made for playing alone. The SP maps are made for people who wants to play by themselves. I have no idea how

Tinker if you can somehow come up with a mod that will allow access to all the weapons and let server admins control them you will be a god among men.

I hoped I was wrong in thinking that the disks were a copy of an already installed game, but it appears that may be the case. If it is then you are screwed as they sold you a game that already belongs to someone else and thats why the CD key is reported in use/banned. If thats not the case and you bought it from a legit store then take it back and have them exchange it for a new box and make sure its unopened.

I and some others who do not like being restricted on what weapons or attachments we can take have asked/said repeatedly to allow us access to all the weapons and let the server Admin decide what weapons to restrict.

Hard to do when you most always play alone. Was it that hard to put in AT like we've been asking? Not all of us want to feel like elite SF in sneaking up to plant C4 on the damn tanks, give us the AT for those who would rather do things the right way.
-
We have lots of people who are from Europe and elsewhere, they have no problems. Did you get your disks from an authorized dealer or a street vender?
-
When you installed the game it asks you to input your CD key, How were you able to even get past that screen without doing that? Where did you get your disks from?
-
I guess because it's a game. And therein lays the problem with most of the game. The people for years have been pleading with someone/anyone to make a really good tactical sim and instead we get a really good arcade shooter. Not trying to offend GRIN or its employees as I think we all take it for granted that they had UBI telling them what and how to do things. The support shown by the GRIN staff has been outstanding. I think we would all love to see what you guys could come up with if your hands were not tied by UBI.

Weight affects recoil because the more weight you carry the more unstable you become. Unfortunately the game can't allow for individual factors and so aims for a single fit standard that you would expect an individual in this position to be in. And as to your other question Nutlink got it correct, if you hear the sound of bullets whizzing past you take cover. It the one you don't hear you have to worry about.
-
In RL the bullet travels faster than the sound of it. I've been down range of incoming fire and the first thing you hear is the zing of the bullet as it passes and then the the sound of gunfire from a distance. The closer you are to the source the less time between the two.

After practicing the escape route several times I made it all the way out but the program nails you anyway.

Something like UBI saying "For GR:AW2 we seriously listened to the GR fans on what they wanted for the next version, then we threw it all out and made it our way".
-
I think I'll wait to install and play the patch before I rip it up or praise it, but still would like to say thanks to GRIN for making it. I am still hoping to see the same map support that the XBox has been getting though.

right, that's why I didn't buy AW2 last year

Hey if you're (somewhat) deaf like me you never hear the footsteps. -
So how many are still playing Graw2
Fletch replied to Floyd's topic in GR:AW 2 (PC) - General Discussion
I still have GR:AW2 installed in hopes of new stuff but have not played it for a while, cause there's nothing new. -
While I have high hope for the patch, I too would like to see some expansion packs. While I might not pay for stuff that should have been included, expansion packs are new content that the developer deserves to get paid for.

Take GR after all the updates, patches and fixes, add the new graphics engine like Crytek, the ability to drive any vehicle on the field or helo, realistics weapons and load outs, with ability for the player to choose and the server to ban, A new field to fight on like the Balkins, Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan. SP missions and maps (all of them) that can be played in CoOp or any other MP game type. Draw distances that are real far (500yds) and maps to support that. Not these tiny maps and draw distances we have now. The ability to have your player and AI learn as they complete missions so they im
