  1. Thank you, Peace. But I don't like how some GRIN (SORRY, I MEAN SOME SUPPORT MEMBERS OF FORUM HERE) behave theirself. "I got some beer and pizza. And I got popcorn. LoLs. Let's look at show". Is it normal? You don't respect other people, men, so you want to hear only cheers? If you have many negative posts it should be exist. And if you have many negative posts it's not our problem. In many times it has a reason. It's like Lockdown. Many people don't like it and say that this game a real s... But some people are happy like kids and evacuating boilling water :)

    Ok. Some people want to have some definite positions. I make it.

    So, what are SOME differences between GRAW and GR1?

    - Rifle guns has more recoil then support gun. That's not real.

    - The soldier can turn on 360 degrees very quick in lie position. Remeber GR1. In GR1 you needed to move legs before turn the body. And you can turn your body quick only on 180 degrees.

    - The damage model is not realistic. In GR1 when you hit enemy in the leg he can't move fast. When you hit enemy in the body or arm he can't shoot correctly and be fast to aim. In any case in GR1 enemy ussual is eliminated by 1-2 bullets. In GRAW MP - by many bullets.

    - We have the injuried motion in GR1 when you shot in enemy. In GRAW we haven't it.

    - The natural maps. That was a principal difference from other games. And it was a difference between Rainbow 6 and GR1. Now we haven't it. Don't tell me about Mexico. Developers can make natural maps in MP like it was in Desert Siege.

    - The motion of enemy is not realistic in some cases when you eliminate him. In GR1 it was ALWAYS realistic.

    - In GR we haven't warnings about near placed snipers. If we have a map with sputnik vision let's we find them.

    - In GRAW we can't enter in the buildings. In GR1 we can do it.

    Some issues:

    - If we have srutnik navigation why we MUST to get out from covers to make "a laser shot" to eliminate tanks by airstrike. Why we can't set coordinates in sputnik navigation? It is 2013 year. Isn't it?

    - We have Zeus rocket launcher. But why sometimes we can't use it?

    - In "Vip 2 is down" we have enemy armor near a building. And airsitike must to damage it. How it can be damadged so near from building and building is not damaged? If we have a realistic simulator, then the building may say "Good bye all" :)

    - Sometimes the helicopter land in very closed spaces like in last map of singleplayer. Sometimes you can see how helicopter touch the trees and other objects. That's not real.

    - Sometimes enemy down not realistic. Sometimes you can see that enemy's dead body "sit" or has unreal positions.

    - The wheels of cars are flied away from riffle bullets hits. It's not realistic.

    - The hand grenade can damage massive column. Its' not realistic.

    GRIN knows that many people don't like GRAW because it's unlike Ghost Recon 1. That means that we haven't kills from one shot, but we have many arcade things like "one headshot - enemy is alive", enemy is hit and still run anyway and etc. You may say: "But we have a good physics... Ageia and etc..." What's Ageia? There are fanciful special effects. It's just made for beautifull bangs and flashes. And no more. The physics is a real damage of objects that making injuries to the enemy, but in GRAW it's just a Badaboom and stupid action. GRAW is working on public and stupid show.

    Ghost Recon 1 was a game with forests, lakes, fields, mountains and etc. In GRAW we have just boaring city. Why you forgot about naturies maps? Today we have a game like Rainbow 6. But Ghost Recon always distinguished by forest maps as distinct from other games. THE NATURAL ENVIROPMENT WAS A PRINCIPAL FEATURE OF GHOST RECON! And natural maps were very good! Theese maps had good visual and sound enviropment. And all liked it! How you can forgot about forests? Or maybe GRIN didn't play Ghost Recon?

    And I don't want say about system requests because making games for men who are fans of stylish videocards and systems is not meaning you like a good gamemakers, GRIN. UBI just loose money of many people who wants to buy this game but don't want to buy hi-ends "toys".

    You know, guys, you wrote on your site, that you make arcade games. I think you should do it further and you shouldn't try to jump higher of your head. That means that you shouldn't do tactical games. I played GRAW and I understood it. Moreover you don't understand what is Ghost Recon was for it's REAL fans and you never understand what we feel when we see at GRAW. And many strongs clans, who like GR and play it since 2001, don't want to buy GRAW, because it's not Ghost Recon, it's not a sequel of GR. It's a halfarcade shooter with super-mega-show-effects.

  3. I wrote this letter on Ubi. But people answer by only 3 their opinions. So I would to know your opinion here too! Let's discuss!

    Hello from Russia. We also play Ghost Recon there. I dont know english very well, but I try to write correctly.

    So... As many guys here I play Ghost Recon around 5 years. I played The Ghosts almost every day and my teammates too. And I like this game. That's my favorite game and I think this is the best tactical game ever relised in the game's production.

    Of corse we had been waiting GRAW's relise and we have it today.

    We should be happy... But it's not right.

    First of all, I want notice about an unoptimized engine. How can 7800 Nvidia or 1900 Ati cards have only 30-40 fps and the system must have 2 Gigs on board? What is that? A joke of development? Why developers think that they can compensate bad engine by system capacity? That's not a good position. The normal game must be playable on midi-class videocards well, especially if it was made for multiplayer types of the game, but 20-30 fps is real s... Is not it? That's just compromise developers and ubi too from bad side.

    Secondly, the game has many bugs. Ubi anonced the relise of GRAW in november 2005, but relised GRAW in 5 of may. What did Ubi and Grin do during 6 month??? Why they didn't test the game well? Or Ubi don't have good testers? So it should be open testing next time. Why Ubi patch game now by patch that haven't critical modifications? I think if they tested GRAW well, on many DIFFERENT PC with DIFFERENT capacity, we hadn't so many problems with the game that we have now. Today we haven't relise version of the game. It looks like beta version. And we payed it for money. Patch for just "patch" is nothing. We need critical updates for better perfomance and gameplay. If Ubi do this I will say them "Thank you".

    Thirdly, we have bad construction of missions. We have scripted bods in same places of their respowns again. Is it so hard to do random spown? It is not interesting when you meet enemy every time in the same place. Then, saves were made badly in missions. In some missions we have a save in each step, but in other missions we have not saves in hard points. What is that? How it can be explanated? The game became so hard that sometime we want to delete it forever from disk. And why only 4 soldiers can resist to army of enemy with many tanks? It's unbalanced. Ghost Recon never was a stupid shooter with position "kill em all". It is a tactical simulator, but not arcade shooter with bravo rambo-rangers. But GRAW looks like arcade. Just look at bod when you shoot in his head. In many times you can see that he's alive! Is it real?

    So... What we have? We have unoptimized engine, many bugs, bad optimization of missions and more. What we should to say to Ubi? "Oh, yea, this game is awesome?" I don't think so. I think that many people are disappointment. They has been waiting a good sequel of Ghost Recon, but GRAW looks pretty boaring. I'm glad that GRAW is not like Lockdown, but it's not a good game too. So my valuation is C today. We will wait improvements.

    P.S. I am an administrator of russian Ghost Recon portal. I try to answer on many questions about the game. But the questions about problems of GRAW so different that I don't know what I should to answer to people. That means that GRAW have many bugs. That's really bad.

    P.S.S. There are many alternative variants of games. So GRAW can lost it's popularity if it will be so buggy and laggy like we have it today.
