  1. See post #45. They will be fur coats before they ever touch down.
  2. Evidently, they botched the sacrifice. LOL ! ! Even the alien Gods threw her back ! !
  3. Agreed. And by the time the developers are all on board, we won't be looking at 300.00 for a card, we'll probably be looking at half that. Not to mention that by then, most of the bugs should be worked out if it. And even if it is still 300.00 by the time that all the developers are onboard with it, then it will be worth it, because it won't only apply to one or two games. 300.00 right now is just better spent on a graphics card and RAM. Even a dual core processor. ← @Spector agreed. But why not do things this way. since we aren't but "just" tapping dual cores, why not th
  4. Hasta la Windows Vista, Specter! ← Hasta La Linux, Uncle Bill ! ! Dirty, no good, monopolizing, corporate raiding, @#$%&^ ! ! !
  5. You're already there, bro.

  7. Depending on how many developers are actually ready to jump on the technology, that is....
  8. Please do ! ! I would give my eye teeth to get 30 minutes alone with that guy ! !
  9. True. But seeing what it is right now, I sure as heck wouldn't be running out to spend 200-300.00 dollars on it right now either.
  10. Ditto. Looking cool is just not near enough. especially when it is so UNREALISTIC.
  11. meh, ... Then on Sunday, 12 February 2006. this.. :'( THAT is kind of a weird coincidence. Then look at her sig and avatar! She is a WITCH I’m telling you! ← Don't be messin' with Janie, OR ELSE ! ! !
  12. *Keira Knightly. ← Thanxs.
  13. I'd change my vote now that Charlize is added. 1) Charlize Theron - Aeon Flux (Great Flick) 2) Catherine Zeta-Jones (The Welsh Beauty. God, she is so wasted on Michael Douglas) 3) Keira Knightley. (First saw her in King Arthur.) 4) Kate Beckinsale. (The Underworld babe.) 5) Angelina. (The only Lara.) The other 4 I could take or leave.
  14. Alot depends on your surfing habits also. It's like I said before, a little common sense goes a long way. If you feel that you just have to have a firewall, skip the Winblows firewall and go with Zone Alarm. THe Winblows Firewall is a joke, and a pain. But if you don't do alot of questionable surfing, and your careful about what email you open, then you just won't need the additional stuff. Heck, I do some questionable surfing, but I am extremely careful with my email, and like I said, I don't run AV or an additional firewall, and never have. No one here at the house does. It
  15. If you have a router with NAT, skip the firewalls, you don't need them. As for the AV, Rocky has some good advice there, but what I would do is not even load it. Just use the router and see if you have any issues, as AV uses resources, and can potentially cause issues with adding programs and other software issues. I haven't run a firewall or AV for years. Just a router with NAT, and most routers have a firewall available on top of that, if you feel the need for one.
  16. Man..I'm jealous how she can get her power naps. Wish I could sleep deep like her ← Pull a Schwarzanegger and go get pregnant then.
  17. Supporting DirectX?! Not in this life, and you should know better, man ! ! Like I said, it's not my world, man. I'm just living in it. If we want to play games, for right now, we are stuck with Winblows. No getting around it...YET. But with the strides Linux is making now, it won't be long ! ! I can see right now, that by letting up on Colin and his love for all things Microsoft, that my reputation is now in question. I should have to remedy that straight away. Sigh. You guys are killing me here.
  18. I'm not a hater of sound cards either. Far from it. But to me, and for people on a budget, it simply boils down to priorities. Important stuff that makes a real difference first, stuff like this second. That's all.
  19. The Chill Surrounding the Promise of Snow by Alex Hephaestion. The guy does some incredible mixes, and they are totally and legally free. And Pink Floyd: The Delicate Sound of Thunder.
  20. werd! Gawd its like they got their media relations training by a group of politicians or something. Every answer to a yes or no question was responded to by some ridiculously vague non-answer. ARGH! If I had my way it wouldn't be a silly freaking "interview" but an interrogation instead! Under a hot, bright lamp with some properly administered truth serum. ← You have to remember too, that GRIN probably didn't get to decide what they could answer, or how. Ubi decides that for them, being the publisher, and Ubi has always been about limited info, guys. Don't be too hard o
  21. I don't suppose you are developing a game, otherwise you'd know the answer to your question. Basically, use OpenGL for any game based on game engines created by id. Use DirectX for pretty much everything else. Can't believe this statement is coming from one of our top resident anit-M$ forum members. ← I know, I know. But.... I'm not a developer. Like all of you, I'm stuck riding the train someone else is driving. And the term is Anti-MS ZEALOT ! ! I'll tell Dannik on you if you keep flaming me by calling me anything but the gr.net ZEALOT ! !
  22. I'm not a flamer, I'm a ZEALOT ! ! Dannik said so ! ! And help? Who want's to help a bunch of n00bs and Canucks?! Flaming? Where? I don't see no stinking FLAMING ! ! You bunch of n00bs ! !
