Fusaki, thanks for the correction on location of North Korea. I stand corrected.(slapping own hand) lol. Seriously though, Thanks.

Like I said before Budgie, come up with one good, viable alternative that will work. Pyro, we dont really know all that he has, we do know that he is making bios and chem weapons. The embargos havent stopped that, only deprived his people of food and medicine. Also, about pulling out in 91, I'm old enough to remeber what happened and have all the news coverage here on tape. All the countries that were part of the coalition, except for England, said that once Kuwait was free pull out or else. France was a very big part of that coalition, and the UN. The US and England wanted to put

I also just have one other question for the war protesters. Dont you all realize that peace has a very high price? As does freedom? I get the impression sometimes, especially listening to protesters, that they take their freedoms for granted, and dont remember just how much peace and freedom really cost.

Moakes, Well said my friend, well said.

IF you had read the entire post, you would see that I gave everyone credit. And I'm not saying that France or Canada owe an unending allegiance. But, France, being a member of the UN Security council, is also a major screamer about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction, and wants something done about it, but are not willing to do anything but talk about it. The UN resolutions, and embargos have been in place for 12 years and havent worked. SO, it comes to this...What do all you guys want to do about it? Come up with a better, viable solution. People smarter than us have tried, to no a

I think that too much tech on a battlefield is bad on a man to man level. Too many distractions, to much bulk, and too much reliance on lcd's instead of honed instincts, reflexes, and training. But we will see. And the Army can do all the field trials it likes, but the only true trial is in a battle. A real one, where anything and everything can go wrong and does. The added weight alone, unless you are going to sacrifice survival gear and extra ammo, will be an immense drain on a soldier.

Well, like they said back in 91, Sadaam's best source of intelligence was CNN and Time magazine. Enough said about that. The media need to cover the war, but not be in the field of that war. It's a bad intelligence and security risk.

I always find it kind of funny when countries say things like, 'You are undisciplined, and we wont help you, but you are our best ally'. Yeah, right. Is it just me, or does that sound a bit like a dear John letter? 'Gee, we're breaking up, let's just be friends'? I wonder, what will France and Canada do, when we have all our troops tied up in the Middle East, and Korea decides to get froggy with their nukes, and the US is to tied up to stop them? By the way, so that no one get's the wrong idea here, I want to say this. I have nothing personal against the French or Canadian people.

I received a joke and put it up here. Yes, I am a very patriotic American, and my posts elsewhere on this forum reflect my beliefs. And since my country is willing to go out and fight for those beliefs, and die for them, as I was willing when I was in the Corps, for the USA, for france, which we did, many thousands of lives, in fact, I will post what I want. It is not a personal attack. In truth, I am quite ticked off that we are going back to Iraq. Not for the reason, It has to be done, but because we have to go back. If Bush Sr. had had the cajones to stand up to world opinion, Fran

This is a very good thing you're doing. Thank you, Joshua, and mine is on the way.

Actually most pistol rounds are good to 200 yards with the exception of .380, .25. It takes a great deal of practice, thousands of rounds per week to get that good, but it is possible. I have seen it. I used to see some guys at the gun range who could do it. But it is not the rule, but the exception. A pistol shot should never be taken over 50 yards. Most handgun Gunfights are in truth between 7 and 21 feet. Just like using tools to work on your car or build cabinets, you should pick the right tool for the job. A good general rule is: Pistol - Out to no more than 25 yards, r

Thank you all. That's all I can think of to say... Thank You.

I would only ask one thing of everyone, and add a reminder also. With the threat of a multi front war looming on the horizon, and the split feelings about it, and I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong, we are all entitled to our feelings, and our opinions, because we are all free, and everyone here knows mine from my posts, but please, PLEASE REMEBER: That our soldiers, US, Canadian, English, Australian, and whoever else joins in, are all the instruments of policy made by politicians. They only do and go where they are bid. Please remember this, and always treat them with respect, an

There is only one phrase that truly sums it up. Semper Fidelis. Always Faithful. When it comes right down to it, all the inter-service rivalry is gone. We are all one team, with the same goal. FREEDOM. It would also do us well if all the politicians took a good hard look at this video before we go any further, and remember who they are sending and why. IT is a just cause, and the reason should not be forgotten, EVER, like it was in a couple of previous wars. Here is a quote from a previous post i made in another section of our forum. I think it fits better here. Here's a

No, they aren't, are they , Parabellum? Thanks for being the statistician that i'm definitely not, and posting those numbers. But then again, if you are the head of either the NRA or Hnadgun Control Inc, you are only going to get half the story either way. The real problem is, people in general, like water, seek the path of least resistance, and instead of really learning all the facts, take the convenient way out, and only see what they want to see, right or wrong. If things were really as bad as Sara Brady and her lobbyists would have you believe, dont you think all firearms would be

AS WAR APPROACHES, DO NOT FORGET I sat in a movie theater watching "Schindler's List," asked myself, "Why didn't the Jews fight back?" Now I know why. I sat in a movie theater, watching "Pearl Harbor" and asked myself, “Why weren't we prepared?" Now I know why. Civilized people cannot fathom, much less predict, the actions of evil people. On September 11, dozens of capable airplane passengers allowed themselves to be overpowered by a handful of poorly armed terrorists because they did not comprehend the depth of hatred that motivated their captors. On September 11, thousa

Number of physicians in the US: 700,000 Accidental deaths caused by physicians per year: 120,000 Accidental deaths per physician: 0.171 (US Dept. Health & Human Services) Number of gun owners in the US: 80,000,000 Number of accidental gun deaths per year (all age groups): 1,500 Accidental deaths per gun owner: 0.0000188 Statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners. "FACT: Not everyone has a gun, but everyone has at least one doctor". Please alert your friends to this alarming threat. We must ban doctors before this gets out of ha

Adolph Hitler started out with gun registration in Europe, so that he knew where to send his soldiers to collect weapons in the name of cutting crime and safety, and we all know where that led. And before anyone says what I know someone will, I'm not saying that that will happen like it did then. But does the government of a free society really need to be that paranoid of it's own citizens?

Here's a little Humor.... Secretary of State Colin Powell was recently approached by an Iraqi newspaper reporter and accusingly asked, "Isn't it true that only 13 percent of young Americans can locate Iraq on a map?" Secretary Powell stopped, turned, and stated "Yes, it's true. But, unfortunately for you, all 13 percent are United States Marines." Now that we have had a little laugh, this is from me, to all the great men and women who serve the greater good and we must remeber are the instruments of policy, whether the policy is right or wrong, or whether we all agree with it or n

Budgie, I stand corrected. I hadnt heard the part about the turks wanting to put forces in. I knew they weren't going in as part of the main force, but are providing a major base of operations for us. Thanks for the info, and again, I stand corrected. Semper FI ! !

I dont know if everyone here reads the humor forum, so I'll post this here.
