Yeah ! ! Me too ! I'm a lousy typist.

Very cool. It also goes to show that maybe, as instruments of policy, and not policy makers, that we have more allies than we think we do, and that maybe, after all, that more folks think we are doing the right thing. My deepest gratitude and respect for all of our brothers in arms, and my prayers also. Semper Fi.

Thanks for the insight, BK. I didnt know that. I received this in an email, and thought I'd post it for all to read.

Oh, and just to interject a little something here for all you hardcore Bush haters out there, it looks like as of right now, unless something utterly terrible happens, Mr. Bush will be re-elected next year, by overwhelming popularity. This was on CNN this morning. So, it looks like he is doing a good job as far as the majority of the country is concerned, and his actions are alot more popular than all the Bush haters think. So, this leads me to believe that not all of the anti-Bush/anti war people have their fingers on the pulse of the world as much as they think they do.

This paragraph, the last one in your post, has no solutions in it, only more 'Bash Bush" stuff, and how America is being greedy again. All of your posts on this topic have been all about anti - Bush. We got the message, you dont like him. Fine. But there are no solutions in the quoted paragraph. I dont want to hear more anti Bush crap. I want to know what solution to the Iraq problem would work, that wasnt tried. Who says that the British arent getting anything out of this, and if thats true, why arent they complaining and pulling out? And do you really think that they wouldnt

That could be because we know where they are, we are just figuring out how to get to them. Probably take a little time. Took a few weeks to get the girl and the other pow's back. Hang in there.

Right on Sarge ! ! ! as the saying goes, " Dont mess with us, because we deal in lead, friend ! !" Oh yeah, another favorite of mine applies here to. "If you run, you'll only die tired" !!

Why dont you ask the Iraqi's if they think it was worth it. Do I think it was worth it? Yes I do. I in fact, was willing to pay that price myself. How many innocent people have those few"Has been wanted men" killed? Truly innocent, unarmed people, who were no threat to them in the least? What price do you put on freedom, and the right to say what you want, and walk out of your house without fear of threat of being killed, or worse, tortured? Do you think that those terrorists and Sadaam would hurt no one else, and what would you do the next time they did? What if they bombed your h

I agree with Warhawk about the media. When the Syria thing first came up, we were only watching the Syrian border, as Iraqi leaders, and Secret Police, were found crossing into Syria to escape detention, questioning, and possible charges of war crimes. Syria was also being watched this time around, because of the stance that they took back in 1991 during the Gulf War. I agree that they should be watched. After all, with the current military action in the region, the coalition would be less than prudent if they werent watching everyone they werent 100% sure of. Im not sure that I agr

You guys are absolutely right, and I, for one, want to apologize profusely for getting caught up in it and adding to it. I wont let it happen again. I let someone get to me, and that pretty much never happens. I'm sorry you all had to read that.

OMG ! ! ! !ROFLMFAO ! ! What a riot ! ! What planet did you say this clown was from>?

Now, can the rest of us mature adults get back to the topic at hand, and not waste our time anymore on this childish drivel? Thank you. This is a good debate that shouldnt be reduced to what it has been. And I want everyone to know up front, its okay if you disagree with me. I wont hold it against you, and I wont think you are self righteous idiots. The truth is, I have learned alot from all of you. Even while being insulted by a certain person, I learned from him also. But we wont discuss that in a civilized forum. So, can we now stick to debates, and skip the childish rheto

Well, you know what? I happen to believe in what we are doing and why we are there. So do millions of other people. And I want you to know how broken up I am that you dont approve. My heart is truly breaking that my opinions and thoughts dont mimick your own. What was I thinking!? And, while you're at it, go ask the Iraqi people how they feel about it. But, while you are doing that, or rather assuming that you have your thumb on the pulse of the world, I'm going to hang on to my self righteous crap, because it is mine. And, unlike someone else I know, I dont expect everyone

@weeboz Doesnt the fact that everyone in this particular post disagrees with you, turn on a light, and maybe make you think that some of our points are valid? Where is the open mindedness that you are so fond of preaching about? Frankly, I havent seen it. And what was that with that poem? That was a disgrace. There is no other word for it. And I was just wondering, when are you gonna take your own advice, and step down from your pedestal, and take a look around? Everyone cant be wrong.

They may be keeping it quiet for security reasons since we are hitting Tikrit.(Did I spell that right?) Also, they may know where the pilots are by now and are planning a rescue, and dont want to give anything away as yet, like with the girl from the maintenance company. We had no word of that until after the fact. Its hard to say. But, my prayers are with the pilots.

@budgie I would have to go find the links again, but about 3 weeks ago it was on the news services that they had found some newer Exocet anti ship missiles. And what about the oil deals they made? That also came out, and we know they've been doing that for awhile. As for the poem, it is utterly tastless, and an insult to almost every intelligent person. That isnt the case at all. It is far from the truth, almost to the point of being a downright lie, and utterly, utterly tastless, and an insult to every serviceman putting his life on the line over there, and was only posted to ####

If there were no other reason, the way that one woman was treated would have been enough to make me do what the coalition has done. If that were the only reason we were there to overthrow that sadistic pig, it would be enough. And she is just one of many thousands that endured that. I cant even imagine. I dont think any of us can. Yes, that is justification enough. We have helped give them a chance to end that kind of crap. What other justification is needed? I say, N O N E ! ! !

Phantom110565 shakes his head in utter bewilderment. That is the saddest mockery I have ever seen. Take a valium. You really showed all of us with that one.

@budgie They didnt back it with words, but they did back him by selling him weapons for the past 12 years, and buying his oil the past 12 years, and by doing nothing to enforce the resolutions that they in part, with the rest of the UN, wanted in place, but circumvented them instead to further there own pocketbook and standing in the Arab community. My question is, by doing what they did, they are not in particularly good graces with the Saudis or the Kuwaiti's because of that. It sounds to me like the only people over there that do respect the French the way you say, are maybe Syria, P

America has stated over and over that we do not want to stay in there. We are not there to take over, we do not want a permanent presence there. In fact, we want out of there as soon as posslible. We want other nations to help. But we do not want France, Germany, or Russia in there for very obvious reasons. There are plenty of other countries in the UN that would do a good job, should they choose to help. France backed that animal and his sadistic dictatorship, as did Russia. Why in the hell would anyone support their going in there to rebuild? That doesnt even make sense. No on

@Budgie You are getting all on Bush again, like he is the one with the power, making all the decisions. He is not, and I dont remember him being that childish either. As for France, Germany, and Egypt, see replies from 300, parabellum, sea, and warhawk. They dug their hole at the beginning by ignoring their own embargos, and not investing. This whole war was wrong to them from the beginning. Why should it now suddenly be right? The only thing they are worried about now is recouping the very poor investments they made selling that animal weapons, and they want their oil back.
