Thanks for all your help guys! I wasnt able to repsond last night cause I had to go to work but I tested and it works. What I ended up doing was putting the curser where I wanted the object and using the up and down arrow keys to get it to the correct height.

Is it possible to elevate or lower static objects in the editor? For example they have an object named elivated blovk that has a city block at the top of a slop that connects to the street so how do you get the sidwalk to be elevated?

Is it just me or is the game running a little smoother than it was pre patch. A good friend and myself played several rounds of coop and for the first time ever the server didnt crash and I didnt get dropped one time. I also love the skip insertion video!!! way to go Grin!! I got on for a fast HH on AFZs server and it was a good time except my sound card was not working so I had to bail out after a few to fix it. Overall I think was a great patch and I hope the coop patch is just as good. -
The new map I made has some texture problems. When I created it everything showed textures however when I compiled it some of the walls (all walls are the same) some show a checkerboard texture. Also all the tombstones do the same thing. Does anyone know what is causing this?

Yeah I dont think starting at a young age is all that out of line. My oldest who is 9 now started playing unreal when she was 5 and GR and RS when she was around 6 and she was owning ppl I game with back then and now she is one bad ######..... -
I am not a big fan of having to make the terrian in max then exporting it and then seeing if it works correctly...the unreal editor has this one beat hands down on this aspect. [GR] didnt not have a map editor Willie, maps were made in max and then exported....speaking of that would it be possible to make the entire map in max then export as an object and then just lay down the terrian in this editor?

I am still working with the editor but so far we only really have stuff to make deserts or more versions of the same city blocks. We have the 3D Max plugins but no instructions of their use so for the time being think iraq I agree GRAW needs a http redirect download like unreal, call of duty and other like games.

Yes you could make weapons and other models the only problem is we dont know the scale, if the weapons need helper points and what all is needed to export.

I wonder if that building is a pre built brush? Kinda like ni CoD2s radient with building brushes or if it was imported as a static object and then placed. So far so good! -
Just a suggestion. Since it looks like people are changing the settings in your application how about adding an option to restore defaults?

Wouldnt it just be easier to get the install location from the users registry? That way your application will support custom installs and will remove some of the crashes. Also try to do some error trapping in your coding and give meaningfull error messages.

Well future patch 1.XX will have the original GR coop with respawns so just hang in there.

Got your email and thanks for the help. I think my big problem right now is lack of know how when it comes to making blocks for post nuke. I will beat away on this until I get it. -
You dont know what you are talking about my friend. Go read tutorials on GR map making and you will see you need portals and zones to optimize the map. Farcry, BF2 both have and use portals to optimize the FPS. and every game ever based off the Unreal engine does the same thing. Its possible you just dont know how to use them or you are making assumptions. When I get some more free time this morning I will post some links for you. you are right, i don't mean zone i mean "Sector" Coool.....Man it was a trip reading through some old GR map making tutorials. have you tried that farcry m

I dont know why it stopped but try this and let us know. How many log files are in the folder and if you remove them does it start to log the stats again?
