Has anyone used it yet, and really how much of a difference would it actually make as far as speed during a game.

Hello all, I know I am getting a late start on GRAW, but just got my system to where it runs the game awesome. I have been gathering quite a few maps to cover what I am seeing played on the servers and was wondering if anyone has developed a easy way to manage all the maps. I saw someone mention that SCE had a map mover but havent been able to locate that anywhere including the SCE site, and haven't really found anything here except for creating a couple different folders. Thought I had a lot of mods for [GR] LOL. thanks for any advice.

well after reading all day i think i am going to upgrade the 12cm fans to good quality 14c fans and add a third to the back of the hd rack and upgrade my cpu cooler, i just have the stock one on right now. as for way no water cooling, I know even to be dangerous(lol) and feel comfortable with the simple stuff. My wife is very understanding but if i had to replace these cards because of something i did, that might be pushing it. lol. will let everyong know the results, thank you for the info. I got started late to [GR] but have not found a game to take me away yet, and check the forums everyday. thanks to everyone who works so hard on this site and all the mods that make this game never the same twice.

i have 2 hd's i put them in the hd rack instead of using the option to mount them on the bottom, that is where i installed the 2 extra fans, so the airflow from the front fan is blocked some by the harddrives. the extra fans are variable speed and i have them going at about have speed, above that they get kinda of loud, may have to get better fans(lol). as for the wiring i think i did a pretty good job, was very mindful of needing good airflow with going to the second card.

Hello, i am looking for some ideas on cooling down my video cards. I just upgraded my system to a new case and added a second 8800gtx(one good thing abut compusa going under), i moved everything to a thermaltake armor plus case, installed a couple extra 120m fans in addition to the ones that came stock. My idle temps are at 55 and 63 degrees and go to 63 and 77 under load. I have read that those are ok but would like to run them lower if possible my cpu temps have also risen to 33 idle and 47 and 51 under load on an E6850. I am running an air colled system and dont want to go to water. Was thinking about changing the 120 fans to 140's for more air flow. have looked at the vga coolers out there but they seem to be for one card only, and dont have room between the cards to add something to bottom card because audio card is between. any ideas would be helpful. dont like seeing the temps that high. thank you.

hello, i was having the same issue on my wife's system, i went through 2 evga 8800gt's, they are having a problem with them. i have since put in a 8800gts and also rest her bios, have had not problems since.

i have what seem like a silly question. i have comcast cable with a linksys router which i guess we can use for wireless. but me and wife are hooked up via lan and dont use wireless. do i still need to be concerned about some hijacking us. thanks for any advice.

yes have never had a problem even with other zipped mods

hello, sorry to bother everyone with something i am sure is pretty simple but i cant figure it out. i have downloaded the new centcom mod twice trying to get it installed. i am having the same problem that lobo was having. i have downloaded into my ghost recon mod folder and have used both winrar and the zip-7 to extract them. i get the new centcom folder with what looks like everything there. i changed xp to show the file extensions and i have the modscont.txt showing. but nothing after that. no install wizard if there is supose to be one. and not showing as a mod able to activate. thanks everyone.

This could be because the file has not extracted properly, but it more likely to be because you do not have windows XP set to show file extensions - do you know if this is the case?
dont know for sure sorry but i checked some of my other folders and they didnt show extensions either. sorry dont know to much about this stuff. was going to start over from the beginning nad see what happens. lol sure i probally did something wrong. will let you know thanks so much for the help you guys are always great.

Is there a modscont.txt in the Centcom folder? There should be.
Double check the mod is extracted in the correct folder.

hello, and thanks for the responses, i have the files extracted i think, i am showing a sniper cannon folder in my ghost recon mod folder. but nothing has showed up as to run or install the mod and it is not showing up in my games options as being able to activate the mod. i am sure i am doing some thing wrong lol i know just enough to be dangerous with some things with my puter. thanks again.

hello i have been looking forward to this mod and am having a problem loading it, i have it downloaded and have tried unzipping it but after that i can't get it installed, dont have much experience with zip files any ideas would be greatly appreated . thanks.

Here's a Microsoft article that seems to imply that they have a fix for it. But I'm a bit doubtful. My understanding is that the IRQL message is a general system error and could have many causes.
And here's a tech thread that discusses it. Could be caused by a memory error or a bad driver. Some have said even an overheating cpu or a crappy power supply could cause it.
Seems as if you have your work cut out for you in trying to determine the source of your problem. The simpler your set-up the easier to troubleshoot. It's too bad you have SLI to make things more complex.

hello, thanks for the response, we think we found the problem. we removed the wireless network card we had installed and have'nt had a problem since trying that. go figure. as long as it works we don't care, me and my wife love this game. thanks again for the response.

Hello i am looking for any advice or help i can get. I just purchased a custom built system with dual GeForce 7600GS graphics cards. the problem i am having is that after about an hour of playing i am receiving a blue screen message stating
Driver I R Q L is less than equal
after having them looked at the people who built the system say that because i am playing an older game with new er cards that is what is causing the problem. which i have a hard time with, except i installed F.E.A.R and played for three hours with no problem. i am looking for any help or advice i can get. thank you.

ran into the same issue when wife didnt know one of the updates was sp3. we finally just let the hardware wizard try to find the drivers, and when it couldn't we canceled the wizard and haven't had the found new hardware message come up again. haven't noticed any issues at all.
