  1. For the purposes of matching, knowing which team has more kills by checking the game score is a bad idea. It gives a Team that is winning a chance to 'camp' on a lead and pick of anyone who tries to come at them. Happened all too often in [GR], to the point where some teams would set out to get one kill and then camp for the rest of the 20 minute match.

I believe not knowing the score means that a Team will have to communicate to eachother more effectively as to how many kills they have taken, and if respawns are being used, how many times their team members have died.

It will make teams less campy, and encourage them to fight more to be assured of victory.

    Lighty out.

I totally agree, it would be nice if the ability to check scores during the match was a server option.

Very very very very nice. A server side option to show the scores would be very very very very nice :grin1:

  2. or an afk button on the status screen that if active and if the player is the last player then the match finish. But you have to remember to click on the button, so the autockick function would be very cool ^_^

  3. Now that 1.21 is a reality, we at ATU have come up with a few suggestions we think would enhance the GR/AW experience and improve the gameplay. They are as follows;

    1. Random spawns for practice purposes and to reduce spawn-killing.

    2. A set of grid-maps. This game takes place in the future, and where gps capability already exists in the hud, gridmaps would enhance the ability to monitor and direct your forces to emerging contact points.

    3. The ability to see who is "X'd" up when starting a game, which will be important for matchplay.

    4. The ability to identify individual squads and their members by color on the mini-map for enhanced command and control.

:grin1: The same suggestions submitted by the members of Cougar Special Force :g_withgrin:

  4. Okay, so I played last night for about eight hours, and this only happened once to me, but I think it happened to someone else, as well.

It was toward the end of a round, and I tabbed out to check how many players were left on the other team. When I tabbed back in, I tabbed back to a deathcam of another player, who promptly got shot. No matter what I did, my screen was stuck looking at the asphault where my team-mate who I was deathcammed into had been shot. I could still fire my weapon, and the reticle on my screen would flare. I would move my mouse back and forth, and my reticle would flare. But the reticle was the only thing on the screen that would move. I was on comms, and people who were deathcammed into me said that my guy was alive and standing upright, and that he was responding to my keyboard and mouse input -- moving, shooting, whatever. I eventually pulled out a nade, and at their instructions, pitched it into a wall in front of me. BOOM. And it was my last spawn, so I don't know if I would have respawned normally.

Earlier in the evening, an AFZ player (I think JStars, possibly Hazer) had described something weird -- and I suspect it was the same thing. He got shot, and after he got shot and fell to the ground, he fired. My guess is that he tabbed out, tabbed back in to a deathcam, and got shot so quickly that he didn't realize that he had tabbed back into someone else's body. I suppose JStars/Hazer could come in here and offer his opinion/description.

Anyway, I'm 100% sure of what happened to me. If it happens again, I'll try to get a video of it.

The same is happened to me yesterday, after playing for about 2 hours. I've tabbed to check my weapons, and then tabbed back on the deathcam of a friend of mine.

  5. After installing the 1.21 patch I was perusing the options and found that the extreme sound option was missing. I use a Sound Blaster X-Fi sound card and the option used to be there but now its gone. Was this extreme option removed? All I show now are low, medium, and high. Enlighten me please.

    James :grin1:

Instead with an integrated sound card, with the new patch I can set the extreme setting. Before the 1.21 only Low and Medium were allowed.

  6. Here's a stupid bug, When you use the server info, you get the scoreboard up, but the deaths and kills are in the wrong columns. All the players at the top have lots of deaths (should be kills) and all the players at the bottom have lots of kills and no deaths. When you join, you see the correct scores.

Basically scores are reversed on the Server info screen.

and the beta testers didn't noticed this before the patch was released?

  7. Patch 1.21 (sorry for my poor english)

    * When I'm hiding in a guard tower, the enemy players can see my shadow on the ground outside, even if I'm very well hidden and repaired from any spots of light.

    * There's a resp point in the map "The Cape" where the soldier respawn from a too high zone

and fall down hurting himself badly.

    * When I try to exit from the game, the game freezes showing me only a black screen. I have to use the task manager to kill the graw.exe process. Sometimes, when i click exit, the game crashes and freeze my computer. Happened every time I ran the game today.

    My configuration:

    AMD Athlon 3200+@2700MHz

    1GB RAM

    GeForce 7800 GT 256MB

Latest NVIDIA drivers on Windows 2000 SP4.

  8. Screen goes black and locks up PC when I try and quit the game...?

This is poor, very poor - i can't run the game if I have to soft rest every time I play it. Poor, poor, poor testing GRIN boys.

Game is fine while it runs but this is poor and disappointing. My only guess is SLI feature problem on crossfire systems.

Oh well, back to 1.20 for me.

Same bug here, i have to stop the graw.exe process via the task manager <_<

thing that make me happy is that Grin will release them in the next patch :grin1:

After 4 months from the retail game version released...

Yea, I know. Bad choice to not include the dedicated server files at game launch  , but finally we'll have them ...

This MP Pack contains important features (new modalities overall) but THE difference 'll be made by S.A. server files.

Until that release GRAW's MP dont change so much..

    Amen ;)

    I'd like to add:

    • real and secure anticheat

    • replays

You can add all the maps you want, new game types or whatsoever....but it's no use if you don't have a good-managed server to play the game!!! I am actually getting frustrated by the inevitable and ballsbreaking crashes and disconnections occurring every 2-3 games played..... :o= ...(Not to mention pathetic Anticheat if running)..... :o= Until then, this game is dead meat for a little, little community.... (Why Ubisoft EU official servers are almost empty or down even at rush hour???)

    Amen

    Amen

  11. after 3 months n no dedi server, tdm, replays n anti-cheat this game is going to death.

we dont need more maps, we need SAS files, we need real n working anti cheat, we need replays and we need TDM workin good...

i cant believe GRIN needs more then 3 months for this things that must b included in the retail version.

TDM will be in this patch.

  12. guys candies will come, but right now my primary objective is to learn all the possibilities of the diesel engine...it's professional hazard, first collect infos, then do the job with the best resources (nope, I'm not an assassin-for-hire :P )

And after release a comprehensive tutorial, step by step, for the noobs like me ^_^
