Try this one for the rear of the Elcan sight Rear view

hmmm...looks like you all of a sudden have alot of gaps in the model, only times I've seen this is if you export it with the "Weld Vertices" box ticked. Could that be it?

Another little update on the carrier I'm working on, this thing is taking me forever to texture! Right now its more or less just the turret left to texture and its the last time you'll see this thing uncompleted, I hope CV 9040C, weighing in at around 4500 polys right now....still 500 polys under the limit I put on myself

Having different parts of the weapon textured with separate .rsb's shouldn't be a problem. Big qusetion I have is if you collapsed your model down to a single mesh before exporting or not? If you did then this is probably what's causing it, everything gets collapsed down to a single material ID and the whole thing starts using one texture instead of multiple ones.

Looks like you have messed up the face texture alittle mate, easily done and easily fixed. This line should read <ModelFace>marine_demo_head.rsb</ModelFace> Right now the character is using the marine rifleman's body texture as his face texture.

If you could paste the content of that perticular .atr file in here I'm sure we could work out what's wrong with it. Just adding an attachment shouldn't change the appearance of the actor ingame so something is definately fishy.

ok mate, you can download a new radio attachment that should fit your normal operatives here!. Just swap out "att_cuba_reg_radio.qob" with "us_radio.qob" in the .atr file after placing the file in the models folder within your own modfolder and you should be good to go, I hope. Snow

Only one way to fix that problem really and that is to remodel it in 3dsm. The model is acctually available it just needs to be scaled and have the helper point put in, after that it should fit the standard operatives perfectly. Take me all of 5 minutes to do if you want it done mate

Couldn't of said it better myself Stalker!

Just had to show this, its the cpu of the family's second computer and as you can see it was about time something was done about cleaning it off. I'm more or less amazed it hasn't overheated because of the dust. Anyone else have any of these horror shots?

Could this be of any use mate? HK UMP .45
-
Could be because its painted in mate So is the extension of the stock too if you look at it for a few seconds.

Just a quick thing about the cheramic inserts for vests, it's true what you say that they would stop a knife penetrating the vest but they very rarely cover anything other than the mid chest and back due to weight. So even if you did use inserts like that you'd still leave big areas vounerable to knifes and needles. When I served with the peacekeeping force in bosnia we were issued the swedish KS94 vest with cheramic inserts and it weighd a good 10.5 kg with both inserts in the vest. They are rated to stop 7.62mm AP ammo fired from a range of 5 meters though and I doubt many cops would ever

I got the same eamil the other day mate and Norton Antivirus promptly deleated the attached file because it contained a virus. I wouldn't worry at all about it, unless you opened the .pif file that is and doing stuff like that is a big NO NO

Now that looks almost like home! It's views like that that makes a poor swede living abroad miss home & cold B??? You dont even know what cold is mate Cold is when you get up in the morning to go to work, its 30 below and you have to dig your pushbike out of a 1 meter deep snowpile! And once you get to work you have to virtually break yourself loose from the handlebars and seat. hmmm...for some reason thinking of that made my homesickness dissapear.

Operation Stabilise Mission 12 - SPOILERS
SnowFella replied to Tegyrius's topic in GR - General Mod Topics
pretty easy to make em hard to mow down mate Just play around alittle with the .gun files to give the weapons less punch, fix up the Uruk's .atr files to have high endurance and high armour and lastly change alittle in the CmbtModl.xml to make them even tougher to kill. Can u imagine the panic spreading when you have 40 odd Uruk's closing in and it takes about 10 rounds to kill each of them -
Operation Stabilise Mission 12 - SPOILERS

It is a very novel idea to say the least! And I'm sure ppl would download and play it if it became available. I've even had thoughts of something similar before I started working on SWEBAT, although only a one mission mod designed for fun Plan was to use the castle map and send your men in for a recon mission, finding nothing but bloodtrails leading into the castle. Once there an abundance of bodies either shot full of long arrows or with axes sitting in various parts are found (easy to do with attachments). That's when the fun starts, and when you probably can make out I'm a Lord of the -
Looks good mate! Ought to be easy to flip it over from safe to "rock and roll" mode too since you modeled the safety, just rotate it till the desired setting You might want to have a look at the front handguard though, I think you have something funky going on there mate. Looking at the untextured model there seems to be a polygon missing and on the textured on there's a distinct cut or fold accross the handguard.

The charging handle sits in the wrong place to be a USAS 12 though. Looks more to be this one to me, Atchisson Assault Shotgun. A 1970's experimental full auto shotgun built in the states by a Maxwell Atchisson. Abit of info about it can be found here.

Looks great mate! Although I doubt there would be an anti-flash mesh on that part of the scope, wouldn't it be kinda useless there and better used on the side of the scope you point towards the badguy? I might be wrong though.

And I'll get busy at exporting the above character

Looks to be 2 different versions of the CG in the pics you posted Croc. The top 2 are the CG m/86 (swedish designation) and the bottom is the CG m/48. I think the m/86 is the version mainly exported and you seldom see that one in the hands of swedish soldiers, apart from certain "special" forces units that have been issued it lately. Looking at the second pic I'd say that's swedish attackdivers.

A big congrats to 9mm! I knew that model would win the moment I saw it! Looks like Tollen was right too, I did dig my own grave by sending my texture sources over to 9mm..lol Looking forward to round 2b, just hope I can find the time for it among the madness that's called "real life"

I know this isn't really directly related to Ogre's Tigerstrip mod but its still a character I made with intent for it, unfortunately I didn't have time to notify Ogre that I was making this so it didn't make it in It's a variant of the operator character with balaclava seen above, without ogre's amazing textures though. Just basicly added kneepads, goggles and clip pouches to his leg. Maybe we can talk Ogre into a small patch??
