  1. Just had to play around alittle with the camera I got today so here's my messy setup. It's acctually pretty tidy at the moment, the wife must of cleaned it in the last few days or something like that

  2. As far as I know, and this might be wrong but I remember reading it somewhere, you don't even have to move the muzzle flash point. What I remember reading is that when you use the underbarrel function in the .gun file it acctually drops the muzzleflash down alittle beneath the barrel. Setting up a working GL or Masterkey is just a matter of coding your .gun file in a certain way, take a look at the m16gl.gun file in the Origmiss/Equip folder and you should see how its done.

You should be able to use the same .qob file for both your primary and secondary weapon. That's unless you want changes in handplacement or a different look of your model like what I've done with the GL models for SWEBAT, the primary weapon has the leaf sights for the GL folded down and when you switch to the GL the leaf sights folds up.

  3. Due to unforseen circumstances I came across alitte spare time and could sit down with the AK5D RAS model again. Here's the finished gun our SSG specialist will carry.

Featuring a vertical handgrip, a taclight and a C.V.L. (Carbine Visible Laser).

And the circumstances that cased this is that I'm right now sitting with a huge ice pack on my left ancle! :( Had to go home from work after having a few boxes tip over and hit me. What a way to start chrissy :wall:

  4. Looks pretty good to me  Can't wait to see it textured!

Still one thing missing though, the belt! Now we are really talking pain though, bloody hard to make a decent looking belt and still keep the polys down as I found out making my Shrikes.

  5. Sure it would work but it still would leave some pretty big holes!

If the scripter makes the hostage invincible it means it doesn't really matter if your shooting is abit off once you enter the room, a bullet to his head still won't kill him.

Guess the smartest I can come up with without trying it is to turn up the hostages armour setting untill its equal to the hostiles and decrease the "flashbang's" damage value till it only wounds. That way anyone in the room will feel the effect, flashbangs are all but safe if one explodes to close to you! Got a pretty nice photo of a Australian SWAT officer who accidentially had one explode in his lap, took out a nice chunk out of his thigh!

And no, there is no way asfar as I know to get the flash, atleast not without altering the handgrenades explosion model.

  6. I sure will get my well deserved break...its called tuesday! Got all tomorrow off and then back in again for another grueling shift wednesday. Then thursday, friday off and back in again to do saturday, sunday and monday. I'll be a wreck before chrissy is over! And its Woolworths distribution centre in Minchinbury, if your mate works the AM shift there he probably knows who I am! Only one swede there so I kinda stand out :P

And speaking of chilled drinks...they are all but chilled in the warehouse. We've got something like 35 degrees in there at the moment!

  7. Yup, those Aimpoint pics sure are great! Had them laying in my picture library for a while now ;)

@Snared: figured you'd used those MP5SD pics from Batman's gallery as I could see something had been edited out from the front of the handguard, they are pretty good shots for being airsoft ;)

  8. Nah, its more of a pain in the rear end at the moment!

To keep up with the supply of drinks with the heat and the christmas rush the AM shift that I'm on pull 11.5 hour days, starting at 4am! Right now we are feeding out some 200 000 boxes of stuff a day. And the ppl working in my section physically move about 600 boxes an hour, translating to about (this is a low estimate based on each box weighing 5kg) 34.5 tons a day! Sure is a payed workout!

  9. yup! And just a bit tilted too! Looks like whoever will use that will make a few holes in the ground right infront of him! The mount clips where the mount in these pics are.

    MP5 PDW with scope

Other than that and a few minor texturing issues on the lower reciever it looks great!!

  10. Glad to see you made it back Thumper! Was getting worried there for a while! Computers sure know how to make your life miserable from time to time!

And Tollen....you...you...you...really mean I can kick my feet up and relax??? wow! R&R here I come!!!!

Just wish real life would give me the same treatment as work is insane at the moment! Guess it has its drawbacks working for one of the countrys largest grocery retailers when christmas hits! Especially working in a distribution centre responsible for sending out stock to just about every Woolworths store in NSW

So, to all aussies in NSW...think of me as you have your xmas dinner, drink your softdrink, use paper towels or use anything else you might of bought at Woolies as it just might of gone through my hands. Now, are you sure you really want to drink that coke???

  11. Its acctually more or less the exact same model, the only thing that's changed modeling wise is the mag. Gave it a little bit more detail so the poly count increased by 28 polygons. ;)

The big change though is the texture that's been given a proper facelift.

And unfortunately we can't give an ETA just yet as there is heaps more work to be done!

@The_Slink: ummmm...wasn't really allowed to knock them down but it sorta happened anyways. Especially when they stood exactly where I was supposed to park that truck!

  12. I've had some weapons that have come out with bright and dark spots even if the texture is the same colour. I've narrowed this down to being an effect of using a Smooth modifier. Areas with Smoothing added to them comes out as beeing darker than the rest. Could that be it?

  13. Oh I know all about the ending as I've read it atleast a 100 times, this will be the first time I see it though :D Unfortunately I have to wait till the 26th before its released here in Australia :'(

I'm a bonafied LOTR nut owning all the books, the DVD's (ofcource both the cinema version and the extended ones), LOTR pint mugs and last but not least "the one ring" Can anyone guess what my desktop is???? ;)

  14. It sure was a pretty decent *bump* but not as big a one as you might think considdering I was driving around in one of these

    Tgb30.jpg

    tgb30_drivmedel.jpg

About 200 kilo reindeer vs about 12 ton Scania TGB 30 army truck isn't much of a match!

And the driver in that top picture has to be a sissy! I know from experience that water all the way up to the headlights is no problem what so ever! Neither is knocking down trees
