Well, I tried my little theory today and it came out pretty decent. Still has some flaws but I'm sure they can be perfected.
This is how the character looks ingame.

Those shots are taken with him walking a path, without his hands ever leaving his head.

hope you have got a faster motor for that Focus Schenk! The one I got was hopelessly slow with the original motor so I got a faster one, boy does it scream now! Even more so if you strip it of some parts in the transmission turning it into rear wheel drive only!

I've got that one and one of the normal buggy types of RC cars for rough handling! Even cracked the chassi on that one when playing with it on some bmx jumps.

piggyson acctually has the original Blackhawk model downloadable on his website for anyone that's interested in getting it.

I've had an idea for quite a while now how to get a character to acctually walk and still keep his hands over his head but so far I just haven't got around ot test my theory out. Bad news even if it works is that it would require some character modding on the 3dsm level and might not work flawlessly with the animations GR supplies, he'd also never be able to carry and use a firearm. I'll see if I can get some spare time in the coming week to try it out.

Could be any of alot of things that causes that mate.
First of all make sure you have named the new folders in your mods directory correctly, and make sure you have added a modscont.txt file.

Ogre: I'm pretty sure I can manage to piece together a pretty decent MP7 out of the picture material I have laying about.

And the only reason my XM8 appears to be safe - SA - burst is because I sorta stole the trigger group icons from an MP5
That texture is really 2 separate XM8 pictures overlaying eachother with added things from both an G36C and an MP5.Snow

Well, there hasn't been all to much happening on the HK mod lately as SWEBAT is stealing both all the time from Thumper and me. This is what I have so far in the way of H&K weapons, Thumper has a whole bunch more made for SWEBAT that probably will find their way into this project too.

XM8, MP5KA4, USP Tactical, MP5K PDW and XM8 Sharpshooter version.
(the PDW is probably going to get fitted with an EoTech holosight too)

now those cartoons look familiar, wonder how many times I've read the "field manual" they are in? Still think I can remember most of it by heart and its over 6 years since wore that uniform, can still remember my rifles serial No for that matter too. NO bloody wonder I have problems learning new things, my harddrive is full!

Could have something to do with smoothing.
If you have applied a smooth modifier to that model did you do this before or after you extruded those faces? If you did it before you extruded them that could affect how bright a texture will appear on them, smoothing usually makes textures appear alittle darker than what they are.

Technicly it is possible swifty, without even changing the helper points for the lefthand placement too. All you have to do is create a custom character with its lefthand rotated 90 degrees, that way it will appear as if its holding the vertical handgrip.
Only has one drawback though, that caracter will only hold weapons with a vertical handgrip properly. His left hand will appear rotated 90 degrees to far holding pistols or any weapon without the handgrip.

Dannik's right on that! In alot of cases it's prefered to only wound your target not kill straight away. I know I even got told this during my army training and got taught to if possible aim low in the abdomen for this purpose. A killed enemy doesn't need all to much attention but someone that's had a 5.56mm round through his guts needs alot of attention and takes up vital resources, alot more than just a simple first aid too. He needs transportation away from the line, qualified medical attention and quite some time to recover afterwards, all this takes up alot of resources.
Plus it's pretty bad for moral to have your mate next to you screaming his head off with his guts hangin out.

ummm...looking at that pic I'd say there only are 2 HK53's in it. The bottom one looks like a HK51 to me. Just compare the mag and the bolts holding the stock to the reciever between the upper 2 and the bottom one.
Guess it could also be a cut down G3K model but that's not as likely as it being a HK51 rifle.

Great looking characters mate! Although the 3rd one looks alittle funny with an Oakely strap around his helmet but no goggles

I would if I could mate! Got a garage that's full of furniture and boxes though, renting a house with a big nice garage and I've never had a chance to use it yet

Just a shame it had to happen AFTER I've done 10 hours work in sweltering heat

As stated earlier progress is being made on a daily basis now with me getting small updates ready for the team, just a shame that I can't really call my hands capable. Imagine a weapons and character modder that acctually sucks at getting his creations to work ingame, don't think I've ever had more CTD's than what I've had during the last 4 days!

And speaking of weather, PLZ send some of that cold over this way will ya mate! This poor little swede isn't used to the 40 degree days we are having here downunder right now

oooook. no more takers on where he is?

Tip: he's very close indeed to his spotter friend. Can't you see the barrel of his PSG90 sticking out of the patch of grass just at the left of the spotter? Or did Thumper create a to well working ghille for that rifle?
If you can't then imagine playing SWEBAT on MP and ending up facing this sniper character.

I can always use another fan in there mate!
Thinking about putting a 12 cm fan into the side of it this time though, only problem is I don't have any mounts for fans there. Means I have to break out the power drill again

Tell me about it mate! My POS computer just hit 50 degrees while testing the swebat beta copy, no wonder since its well over 35 in the room I have the computer. Need more fans I think!

Wasn't all that hard acctually, just loaded the 3ds file of that character into 3dsm and bent his arms up into the position you can see they are in. Then when I exported the character I locked all the verticles in his arms to his neck envelope. Took me all of 20 minutes to complete.
@IF_GRT: Don't think that would work unfortunately mate. I've found that the characters righthand position is static, the animation of him always places the righthand in the same position every time. The only thing the ^RightHandPoint does is tell the gameengine where to place the weapon not where to place the hand.
