The procedure is all there, the only thing to be careful is:

the second key they mention, the GhostRecon.exe folder, was NOT in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Microsoft -> Windows -> App Paths. In fact, the path Microsoft -> Windows -> App Paths didn't even exist in my Registry (I am running ME tho', maybe that's why). Instead, that folder is in

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Classes -> Applications

Everything else was where they said.

[Still Can't Install Island Thunder]

I can't install Island Thunder because my Island Thunder disk only gives me the option to Uninstall Ghost Recon. It doesn't give me the option to Install Island Thunder.

Stinger had suggested that I uninstall my existing Ghost Recon, re-install it, then try to install Island Thunder again. So I tried that. I uninstalled Ghost Recon. The uninstall was clean, and the GR disk then asked me if I wanted to install GR. So I re-installed GR successfully.

So now I pop in the Island Thunder disk, and the only options I have are "Uninstall Ghost Recon" which uninstalls GR, or "Play Island Thunder", which crashes, because the mod isn't installed.

WHY? WHAT IS HAPPENING???

[Can't Install Island Thunder]

I'm visiting with my brother and my nephew has GR installed on his machine. I just completed it, amazing experience.

He has Island Thunder too, so I am anxious to get my teeth into it. But ... he finished it last year and he deleted it, but he didn't use Add/Remove Programs from the Control Panel to do so. He just deleted the folder in Windows Explorer.

So now I put the Island Thunder disk in, and it does not give me the option to reinstall. The first option is "Delete GR". The second option is "Play Island Thunder" but if I select that, it just takes me to the standard GR, with no Island Thunder missions.

How can I get the system back to the position where I can install Island Thunder? Help!!!
