  1. FF and hardcore RvsA sound like Fun :D

    a quick question though.

    is there a possibility to make a game mode where you mix TvT and Coop ? meaning, two teams of max 4/5 players and a AI inbetween

    objective based.

    both teams have to find the AI and take them out, then reach an extraction point. or one team has to defend the AI but is at a same distance from them as the opposing team yet sees them on the map and has to defend and escort them while the other team has to sneak up and or ambush the AI and extract

    kinda like RvsA but with moving targets in human form ?

    this would require random AI paths that they would follow .

  2. I would say that the whole Tom Clancy's series got screwed. (Well except for SC) Ghost Recon isn't GR anymore. Just some hollywood-commando bull. Rainbow Six isn't R6 anymore. Also became a shoot-em up. Why the developers don't look back in time and see the things we really liked these games for? Shame.

    Shame indeed. :( After playing the demo I knew I wasn't going to waste $50 on something that would only give me about $10 of SP content and I sure as heck didn't need another dust catcher as GRAW's doing an excellent job of that. :'(

    again, it is UBI who made those choices not GRIN nor RSE,

    btw i believe mitchell is not returning next time round.... think the end of the game shows that and it might be the return of non hero GR in the future, unless ramirez is going to replace mitchell.....

  3. i have had it happen in coop that on the bridge people tend to walk past an enemy ai who was trying to get a car stereo rather than take shots at us...

    it is funny that sometimes the AI is as slow in reacting as the human player.

    as for tactics.. crawl as point man and let the rest of the team crouch behind you or in campaign coop do as they please..... atleast that is what i do

    quick question, if the file can come through the AC grin made and the weapon keeps its cheat after client has been killed, can you then not find a trace or file on the server in the file structure of that hack ?

    cause the server remembers the properties, so it is written down ?? or am i just talking nonsence here ??

  5. morph and botto, Are you aware that the BDA has a forum and that you might bring it to the attention there ??

    and remember you have got a prntscrn key that will make perfect screenshots :D

    those would also help in the quest to find and point fingers at people :D

    that cheat.

    if it was as you discribed then you could see two or three frags in the air

    alt tab out and paste in paint, return and printscreen again for further documentation.

    even if fraps does not work, there is always print screen

    cause i know that the full auto m99 of graw was printscreenable

    heads up mate, this game can go further than graw, and shops doing it in the discount does not mean any thing, here in holland (the land of the cheap and greedy) it is still 39.95 up to 49.95 euros... so you can look at the bin two ways.... it might get more players online and thus creating more community input or it is a cheaper present for a friend to play coop with :D

    it is the wait and the down talk that is bringing you down,

    have you tried hacienda yet lone wolf and recon ?

    it is damn hard and requires a lot of effort, and doing it with others is even harder (to keep them on the recon rather than assault)

    this game has what it takes, it is just that it is not there yet in plain view

    but it does not mean it is not there at all

    sit back and take a break, come back when we got our mod tools and editor (officially) mods will be pooring in once things get rolling and the whining fades away.

  7. i know so here goes:

    two missions that were not finalized have been hidden inside the retail

    and if you are smart enough to get to them you get hours of extra graw2 FUN that will blow your mind, or just plainly blow you back to respawn

    these can be unlocked by searching the forums and there is one more added bonus

    since you logged in to GR.net you can now find your self in the thanks credits list of the game, a personal heart felt appriciation of grin towards all their faithfull and dear customers here at GR.NET.

    and yes that includes YOU my friend :D

    even Roo is included like me and all other fine members of gr.net :D

    okay let me get serious...

    there are 10 missions, and if you host a lan campaing coop or internet campaign coop

    you will see 10 missions and play them

    not getting past rosen might have been discussed somewhere here in these forums...

  8. kill death ratio i think should be lowest death and highest kill

    but also some team points, take one for the team rather than go out like rambo ... don't know if that counts...

    in cangaroo's example i think C is my prefered choice if B was dying without a cause.

    if B would involve dying for the team as in creating distraction for the much feared m99 snoob B would be my prefered choice...

    but i think that would be too much too ask ....

  9. hmm i don't see any resemblance with graw 1 or 2 and CS but i might be mistaken....

    if you think it is too short, try hosting yourself a campaing coop and go at it lone wolf, skip the first 7 missions and go straight to 8 9 and 10

    10 as lone wolf would make you reconsider, if not well no hard feelings,

    10 missions 50 buck, 5 bucks a mission +3 coop missions, and a selection of MP maps that you just plain ignore because we are like CS players ???

    WHOOOHOOOO lets run and gun through the game again :P

  10. GRIN wants to make their own thing too. I mean, they want to give us the closes GR experience, but they want to be original as well. I think they've done a good job.

    that is why i bought the game and it is my support to them, rather than thinking i fill up ubi's pockets, though they decided to give us grin which is kind of a plus :)

    i see what you mean, but gr was on a proved R6 engine i believe and graw had to be on a new engine (other dev team..) so it could not provide from the trials and errors nor the familiarity.

    and i guess that UBI wants GR to go towards a more quake like game

    or unreal or what you got out there,

    while here this community wants it to go the other way, more back to basics and sim like.

    the dev teams of both console and pc have to listen to both to keep their job but in the end UBI is making the calls when they feel money might be lost.

    look at it like this,

    UBI pumps out two graw games in short time, while we all buy them and complain they still get our money,

    GR might have been good gaming wise, but it did not pay the bills or their (ubi's) will, it has been running and still running for 6/7 years

    and it is in the shop for 5 euros.

    why settle for those 4 years of relatively cheap gaming income when you can have full profits ?

    UBI is milking us and we go with the flow, or not as screatch...

    but if we keep going with the flow, it might work in our favour with the dev team and development of our beloved series.

    to ubi a long lasting game is counter productive modding undermines their income, cause we won't buy the new thing if we are still satisfied with the old.

    as for grin not listening i would not say that, i don't know about 360 devs but i think there is a difference between our requests and complaints in sence of realistic and non realistic, and then the permission of UBI to fullfill those requests and wishes

    no it is not like that, at least not for me,

    but i can not be angry at grin for the time frame they have to work with and still full fill our high expectations

    most of us look at GR with mods and two expansion packs in mind as being one game.

    this can never be done by a dev team in a year.

    not even two years, cause with all the mods and experiance they can't compete.

    ubi on the other hand has two things in mind, keeping the name alive cause it is selling, and second each title has to sell.

    GR was made on the basis of R6 engine, graw tried to go a different path by being a GRIN product on their diesel engine, and now they are trying/ working to make it so that the old fan base can find them selfs in it.

    this is no easy task and alone that task is worse than making a game.

    i have seen grin go with the flow of these forums and they do their best.

    so with their directives from UBI and our wishes and whims i think they do a great job on this game and i for one do not expect a flaw less game

    because their support effort is flawless.

    they are between two hot fires

    us and UBI and that is a tight rope walk you should look at.

    it is like having two kids each demanding something that contradicts the other and you have to satisfy them both.

    and if this is making excuses, so be it, i'd make more if required.

  13. i would like to ask grin if it is possible to carry injured or dead team mates ?

    in graw you had to carry some one from the embassy to the chopper, is this available in the editor ?

    i would love to make a mission where you can not leave with out the complete team, so it would mean if one dies

    you'd have to carry him all the way, leave no man behind....

    and i got this idea that you got to bring some one to savety via this method, will it be possible ??

    you posted somewhere about differences in battles

    and what graw was and what gr was and what graw2 is

    you explained pretty well how wars change and that the game reflects that.

    as for recon R6/GR style

    once the editor is working and we get some tutorials we can make Recon.

    the maps provided by grin are pretty good and suited for them, it is just that the AI needs to be adjusted for that kind of game play cause what we see in SP is often the need to kill 90% of the AI to get through.

    i'll bet on it that if a modder/mapper/scripter can make a game where you have the original RECON rules no killing just extraction point graw2

    will have the face we want it to, and if i look at the SP and COOP maps i know that the AI can be adjusted for that game type.

    one good example is the AI stupid thread with the video of tinker that showed AI being ignorent of motionless players

    i'll bet that if one moved or stood up right the AI would have noticed.
