  1. i read TC mods as team coop :S

    any way total conversion is good but i would love to keep it in the lines then with ghost recon.

    never played war of infamy so don't know that but did play year of the monkey and thought that was great :D

  2. scar H would be as accurate as the scar L if the barrel was the same length,

    for as far as my knowledge goes is a carbine generally less effective in range than a full legth rifle no matter the caliber

    i might be off a bit but this is what has been told to me and what i have read, i might be out dated

    on the sniper action, i think the reloading is a great feature, gives some extra difficulty as shooting it is quite easy

  3. the mp side of things will never recover to what it would have been if we had the basic stuff from the start... major mistake... how about mp first then sp second... mp is bigger than sp so should be more important...they could scrap sp completely and concentrate on mp, making it perfect and gain more than they would loose... then add in sp after... how would you like that? yeah you'd all be pretty annoyed too

    amen..

    that might feel fine but then the servers would be flooded with n00bs that did not learn to play in the sp part where you can see that as a great learning curve towards MP

    who would be annoyed then ??

    but just for the record, they are making a MP patch does that not show their dedication ?

    or all the sprays in game with all the clans ?

    just take a little more time when you have waited so long, they will not forget TvT

  4. maybe the fixes don't all aply to you, but they atleast tell what is being fixed, even things you would not have noticed

    the MP part of the game is comming in a patch in june as stated, so don't bash this one as it was unfortunatly not ment for you but you know that as you can read and thus know you will be patched to your liking in a special MP patch !

    i think it is good that they patched things we did not notice, that means they spent their time testing, meaning they know what they are fixing and taking their time to do it in a satisfying manner

    be glad they are on top of the game your patch will come, and for some of us TvT really is a none issue but you won't hear us complain about your whinning (okay this post does :P)

  5. i think it would work up to some point

    but it might discourage beginners starting to mod as they somehow have to prove themselfs worthy to get in (how would you reccognize a modder from a kid trying to get in ?)

    don't get me wrong though, i think it is a good idea but fear a elitist barrier whether it is there for real or just in imagination

    this might just be my fear alone

    but i would love the insight without the crap in such a forum

    makes for good reading and learning

  6. anyone bothered with the kevlar tents ?

    as you have destroyed the first artillery piece you have to go past a tent camp with a .50 nest

    now i am used to the mexican standard issue kevlar tents but at first it was a bit dissapointing, you can shoot a car to pieces but can not get 7.62 cal bullets thru a tent cloth

    wondered if anyone has the same experiance and or other of that kind of magic fabric ingame ?

    this would be the first thing to be fixed for sp, materials that stop bullets that usually don't

    felt like the bullit proof grass / bushes of [GR] or was it soaf ?

  7. if there will be any civies in the future,

    i will be thinking of a mission with just one or two teams of tangos, sniping and patroling, the civies all over the place and having to do a recon on some building or object (this will be near tangos position)

    any civies die, mission failed

    a lot of long range recon missions when custom maps are out

    when seeing the sniper options seen in game with the rebels it gives me great hope for those kinds of missions

    and i will try to do a mission for myself at first with two fighting fractions and the GR team having to get thru the middle so the mission will have many firefights you can spectate and observe, i don't know how much scripting is allowed but i think this will be fun :P

    thought of a demo run or assault mission where you (see mission 3) blow up the ambassy or take out all enemies inside (don't know what is possible)

    and had a thought on the door issue,

    if doors are not possible (only that thought haunts me) we could board doorways with wood like the wood used that you can shoot to pieces in the game (think we need a shotgun mod ..)

    then CQB is in range with some kind of closed door rooms

    also had a thought of a mission where in a semi open map like the bunkers and powerstation map there was a convoy or troop deployment to ambush

    some might make it some might not but it seems to be in reach seen the ingame scripting

    *oops thought of missions not campaignes :P

    as for campaignes i would like to see brittish highlands as a theater of campaign or the panama canal, maybe african jungle coast like liberia or sierra leone

    but if there is no limit :P holland :P

  9. A patch is due, fixing all that.

    if all can be patched in one go ...........

    don't take me wrong i am hopefull that it will be fixed, but to expect it in one patch ???

    (i know you are a positive mind so don't take it personally)

    we should stick together as a community and be patient,

    there was a lot of BS about not having mod tools, and how impossible it was to mod at this stage, and look at the mod forum, talent is on the way to make some great stuff out of nothing, (Baja is there too... can't wait for his first release :P)

    have some faith in the dev team and the community, show it with constructive replies or if you have the money, buy and keep the game, for all you negative people who fear to lose money, this could be the collecters item of the century, a shipped incomplete game fisrt print!

    june is patch month, so lets see what it brings, and if like all other ubi patches it makes things worse in the beginning (think RvS first patch and [GR] limp) it can be set straight with the next patch

  10. Getting to the core ...

    when we can modifie scripting files or create new ones and get additional bundles to run with main bundle we are done and grin can keep the mod tools

    grin may bring on the tools anyway :P

    the more tools and insight the better we can mod

  11. I suppose the perfect game delivers all three in satisfying ways, but perfect is hard to come by.

    perfect will only be when the game (what ever game you think of) has satisfied you and has matured

    if i look back most games i have played were single player exept [GR] and rvs

    i came in [GR] just before or just after release of Desert siege and it was my first real online game

    when RvS came i'd complain about stuff,granade bug, friends who could not log in due to a key server

    a high run and gun crowd comming in my home server (which was solved with harsh restriction kits :P)

    any way

    now that graw is here we see how good they are and have become perfect in our minds

    but they were far from perfect when starting to play them

    whether it is mp-sp-coop based, if you don't fall in love with the game at first sight

    it can not be perfect, if you fall in love with a game you see the strong and weak points

    but it might feel perfect as you can see further than the flaws

    [GR] with all its glory was and is not perfect, i could not run it when it came out and try to throw a grenade over some one in front of you, design problem we got used to but not perfection

    i think whether a sp or/and online/lan (mp /coop) in design, it is the player who gives it perfection, the community and the mods comming out for it, [GR] still is alive and we grown to it that is what perfection is, not the game by it self, see if you like [GR] without the patches and mods

    wanting a game out of the box and being perfect is a wet dream that can not be fullfilled

    atleast that is my opinion, and seeing graw at this stage, i know it can be perfect if the community is willing to try making it perfect

    time has to tell
