  1. The only relevant anti piracy is excellent online playability AND CD-keys.

  3. Ok, I am all about PvP, I did not play through the SP missions and only did like 4 COOP missions taken together on the both titles. Negative: * No anti cheat. That was actually the worst part with the game. I was GRAW2 moderator at TWL for a time and it was sometimes kind of hard to be cheerful when people started to bicker about SS tis or dat. *No SADS at release, they came later but some of the community where already gone then. *Game Spy did turn some people off. These days the third party system is common, criticism was perhaps to harsh. Positive: Well the game in itself was not that bad, not at all. I reinstalled it the recent week after OPDR showed what a let-down it was. Cod MW2 seems to go the same way, less unexpected though. And GRAW2 had in its haydays not much fewer players than ARMA2 has now. Perhaps GRAW2 wasn't such a PvP on-line disgrace after all. When it comes to actual ingame stuff I must say that I liked the sound in GRAW/2. Some parts were made unrealistic due to underestimation of the players knowledge. But most of it was the best I have heard in any game.
  4. How is it with effects settings? Are they server set or user set? I wonder as if it is user set then we will play PvP gamers with low settings which is kind of dull when the game is rather beautiful with the settings notched up. So related to the topic, what is recommended settings?
  5. Agree totally. I hope the Call of Pripyat will be as creepy as the first one. The atmosphere was very very good.
  6. The game will be a classic as soon as they have patched it up. A good thing with Paradox is that they do patch games, even years after release. The bad thing is that you can't expect to play the game the first month after release, but i can take that.
  7. I really do hope they don't screw PvP gameplay up, otherwise this will be fantastic: the Ark!
  8. I hope something good will come out of this. That is, that the devs can continue to produce good games in one way or the other.
  9. For anyone who wants to play team play with a lot of tactics I strongly recommend the game, certainly now when it is cheap. It isn't a tactical shooter as the term is defined by gamers at most times, for example you take a lot of hits and eat med-packs. But the game is much more tactical than any tactical shooter around. Old ET players know what I mean. The selection of player classes at different stages of the maps are very important. Actually if you ladder you have to pounder the plan really much. If you just choose the obvious classes needed, then you will most likely loose a stone. scissors paper game vs the other team as you are all to predictable. But if you diverge to much from the needed selection of classes then you will get less punch in the objective solution part. Well that was in short, as in really short. Important too, you doesn't need a power plant of a PC to play the game.

  11. Nice music, reminds be of being at friends at late eighties, coveting their computer games. But before I could play I had to watch and listen through their "demos" of grafic and... that kind of sound/music. I hope the patch brings some "original" feel too.
  12. I agree with OP in all, except #3. I really loved the "At times this game felt like survival-horror with just me, my wits, my last two clips and a bunch of nasties" parts. It was really ages (literary) since I felt that feeling playing a game. My biggest which is that they make the game playable online, it isn't the MMORPG-part I asking for (it would not be enough of it anyway for those who likes that). But I hope that the game will be a good MP FPS.

  16. Quoted for truth. Anyway, try to get the map as an official one. Even a small "patch" as a single map, after the coming (bigger) patch is a good thing.
  17. GR gave me more back then , it was The thing. But GRAW2 is a much better game in almost every aspect (some features are better in GR as weapon sway). But GRAW1/2 wasn't the same fix, you don't get amazed by simply being able to play a FPS online anymore for example, there are so many other games out, etc.
  18. Yes for me, my money is not big deal but my time is. If I try the game and dislike it, fine I will not play it much. And the poll does not state what GRAW3 would be like. It could as well be a state of the art GR variant.
  19. Same to you. Well the game has lost some player base to newer titles (I am one evidence of that), but still, GRAW2 got a niche. With a good patch, what is to expect? One thing to not expect is that GRAW2 will attract big crowds of people. But with a solid patch you will at least get a card core of players who play the game. There are some titles out there which got the same status (not only [GR], which I too played for some years at the beginning) as ever green. There will be some kind of a window for GRAW2 as long as no game goes more in the [GR] direction (slow paced, no jump, infantry focus and lethal bullets for example). The titles I have seen so far (CoD4, Crysis demo and ET:QW) does not have the great sound of GRAW2, and that is a major feature for this kind of game. But on the other hand, why not make a big patch release it and sell a new patch of GRAW2 again, now dirt cheap. At least Ubi would like that idea (well "cheap" is relative) .
  20. I agree with OP. #18) Making support useful in anyway. Best would be blurring of view when you are near missed by LMG, as in Red Orchestra. But increased rate of fire and improved sights would be the second best. #19) A batch of "new" maps for MP. The single player maps, the X-box, maps, the [GR] maps, or a Donkey Kong level.
