  1. Aww ya see I got the e-mail invite from Ubi and filled it out and just kept checking my e-mail every so often. I didnt realise there was a screwup..(oh wait its Ubi) I am well within spec and hoped that being a Crossfire user I would be a shoe in(there was a choice in the survey about ATI SLI?? meh same diff) Ah well ya win some you lose some, thanks for nothing Ubi one day I will learn not to even bother....(sadly I still haven't learned)

  3. Got my Email Invite today. I have basically let GRAW gather dust on my PC but I look forward to testing out the latest installment.
  4. Ditto for me, I dont think I coulda waited for it and the Lang. Pack sorts it just fine. I havent played anything else since I got it a few days ago.This IS the game I have been waiting for and it will only get better and better if the support for OFP is any indication.
  5. Just aim as high as you can. I am currently running it on the Rig in my Sig and High/Normal/Low settings and no shadows and getting 40-60 fps depending where I am it can drop into the 20's I will admit I am still trying to balance IQ with Perf but I will get it right soon enough. I have been taking SS's galore as it just so damn beautiful.
  6. Well after finally finding some working usable GFX setting I am SO loving this game. Even when I was having problems keeping it above 20fps I still couldnt stop playing it(dying, lagging, cursing and all) So this is my "Victory" shot after finishing the Convoy Ambush mission on settings I could finally be happy with.
  7. Great Googly Moogly I just found the site before I came here and saw this and was already D/L it. Wow what a cool game I can hardly wait for this thing to come together fully. I mean my only issue is getting to run nice AND look nice(it can look really nice if I like it at 20FPS(which I might add in my case is totally playable)But I suspect Im just asking too much and will find a playable balance between FPS and good looks soon enough WOW goodbye GRAW, AAO and maybe even RO for me this game is the ######!
  8. I have had my copy of 46 ordered for a week or so now. Expected release in Europe right now is Dec 15th.

This "may" have been enticing 4 months ago, but I have bought the complete [GR] at least 3times now(the first time was GR/DS and IT seperate so that was $120 CDN. and already have 2 copies of GRAW at full price. It is far too late to really market this as the fans that would be interested in this game have long since bought it and for the most part shelved it(tho I wouldnt mind the belt )
  10. LOL there is nothing wrong with the watertower(I recall you saying something about this before) I have checked out that water tower at every angle I could(last time it was mentioned) it is NOT a mixing texture its a checkered paint job...

  12. For the the Snd Issue you could try grabbing the OpenAL32.dll and wrap oal.dll from your system32 folder and replace the older versions that are in you GRAW main folder with them. I havent had any issues with sound with my X-Fi but then I generally do that from the start with any game that uses Open AL.

  14. I dont believe I voted but I would go with all of the above. Lightspeed has a pretty good idea with the South American theme.(thinks of the Xbox and the extra content where they get to go after the Guerillas on their own turf)which I think could encompass most enviroments like LS said(okay I dont think desert would go but I think Mexico is "desert like" enough to want more of it.
  15. Crashed yesterday in [GR] Co-op Recon mode on map JDH.   16. You know the more I think about it the more that supposed simple .xml tweak would have really solved the issues, now that the TL dying issue has been sorted. If we could plug 12 players(heck even 8) this game "could" have real Co-op and the game could be a worthy successor to [GR] and would have given the freedom to the modders to continue to build on and create Mission based Co-ops that we all know and love.
  17. I wish...been my beef from day one. ALL the components are there as far as sound to even have ROE.(how many times have you heard the AI acknowledge and order you didnt give with:"Roger that, aggressive") Not too mention that the most important one from SP that didnt make the MP part even to the TL is "Reloading"
  18. No Angel [GR] was not complete out of the box(what is these days?) BUT GRAW cannot be modded at this point to anything close( I am speaking of Co-op) You cannot use mission based objectives in FF or Recon so you are stuck with just hunting AI with more than 4 people. Had you read ZA's original statement regarding the simple .xml change that was to allow more than 4 people in the regular Co-op this is also not possible(tho we can go WAY back before release and find Bo stating this was to be easily done) So here we are back at the beginning. [GR] was a great game without mods and had the ability to do all of these things WITHOUT mods(okay technically this was after Desert Seige BUT that was also well within the time frame that this game has had)All maps were compatible with all modes you just picked the one you wanted and chose the mode you wanted to play it in.No modding necessary. Go read some of the modders posts and the frustrations they are going thru TRYING to make things closer/better, they cant, nor have they been given the tools to do so. Not too mention the fact that its already falling on the communities shoulders to salvage whats left before its even "finished" with basically bubblegum and string.
  19. Im sorry Angel this is nothing like the Co-op we have come to exepect. FF and Recon are just that, different modes. Its even more of a hodpodge as its not even in the same mode as the "Co-op" we have in game at present(basically the MP component tweaked to support AI) which is well pretty much the state of the regular "Co-op" (SP mission tweaked to put in real players) which was obvious from the moment I played it. Only TL triggers events, hears sounds/voice cues from other players and the rest of the players are just wearing AI suits along for the ride. The [GR] Co-op is as [GR] as their brilliant attempt at "Anti Aliasing" , another cleverly worded throw together that tho "kinda" does what it says it should barely, but just enough to make the statement true.   20. Well I am 90% D/L'd and am anxious about the Co-Op and hope its what I have been waiting for.
  21. Perfectly said and good choices. The PSG-1 is already in as far as I can tell thats the OPFOR's Sniper Rifle, so that seems rather simple to put in.
  22. I dont dislike it, I think it is worth buying BUT I would wait until say Sept. when it will be "finished" I may play it once a week thru my SP Campaign till my AI ###### me off then I turn it off. besides at this pace it may be in the Bargain Bin before we get the whole game.
