  1. Ups - forgot to say my operative system is XP Anyway - I followed the guide in the link. I was told the drive had had a boot sector added and the drive was in NTFS format. On boot I get the same message I have gotten the whole time: "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key". The hard disc is connected - is visible in the BIOS - and is set as master. What the he.. is wrong?!?
  2. Hi guys! I have a huge problem: Recently I started having troubles on booting my pc. Last week it stopped booting completely. Fearing the boot sector of my hard disc was defect, I used a backup programe to clone my c drive on to an other hard disc. All seemed very well - but when starting my computer with the new disc it turns out the are no boot files. How do I get boot files onto my new c drive? Can I just take them from an other pc? I am hoping to avoid having to make a full reinstall!
  3. Are there anyone out there having experience with SoundTrax of Nero 7, who can please help me out before I put my laptop through my window pane! I cannot make it cut off a piece of a wave file.
  4. Thanx Tinker! Found the two remaining enemies - they were really hard to see. Had to go right up to the fence to spot them.
  5. Part of Blakarion's triology: http://www.ghostrecon.net/files2/index.php...view&id=221
  6. I am playing DarkStar mission 12 "wake up call". At this point I have killed all enemies inside the peremiter fence - I have been through all the buildings several times; there are none left alive. Yet I am told that the objective of defending the base is incomplete - and nothing is happening?!? No more enemies; no artilley; no nothing! Am I missing a point here?
  7. HOK.dk has some pics of Danish KFOR soldiers wearing knee pads. I've also seen alot of pics of Danish soldiers in Iraq wearing knee pads. It's correct that all Danish soldiers these days are issued knee and elbow pads. I just don't think they had them at the turn of the century (when KFOR was created). I will try and find out.
  8. I also did my military service with the old webbing. It was of the British 1937/1944 pattern with US and German pouches added!!! At present in the Army reserves I have also used the new webbing, which is the British 1990 pattern in Danish "colors". I must honestly say that I liked the old webbing Krise! I never had any problem with it (maybe I was lucky not getting a worn out set?). In the new one all buckles and straps are of artificial material, so you have to tape the straps to make shure they don't slide open. And we didn't carry that much stuff in the old webbing! Last year I served on KAF (Kandahar Air Field), Afghanistan. At a time we had people from the RAFR based there, and they were wearing flackjackets with webbing over it. I haven't been to Kosovo, but I think that the averege Danish soldier did not have knee and elbow pads at that time.
  9. Hi firefly! Have had a go at DVD Flick - works fine allthough the edited file is a bit grainy compared to the original? Might be that the default setting is low or is this loss of quality a result of all the format conversions? I'll try setting DVD Flick for better resulution. Does anyone know of a program that will let me edit on .VOB files directly?
  10. Hi firefly! Can MPEG be played from a DVD player? I thaught that format was for computers only?
  11. This a long story - so put on the coffee and take your dog for a walk first! A friend of mine has recorded some tv programs for me on his DVD harddisc recorder. Unfortunately his recorder will not let us delete the comercials - only hide them (stupid design of software ). This takes up far to much space; in the recording I am working on now, of 55 minutes only 35 is the actual program. An other friend of mine adviced me to use "Microsoft Movie Maker" to edit the recordings. I have just done so - using "Allok Video to 3GP Converter" to convert the video files from .VOB to .AVI format. I now have the edited tv program in .WMV . AVI and .AVI DivX formats but when trying to burn it to DVD, NERO tells me the formats is not right. Can anyone please tell me what program to use to get the files into .VOB format so I can make a video DVD? Is there one single program that would have let me do the whole thing???
  12. Cra#! Was totally focused on the RAM - didn't think about the Geforce number Well - I'll have to do with [GR] until I get a new graphics card. Thanks for setting me strait on this Pave Low.
  13. I have recently installed the GRAW demo. When running the game is very slow and the enterior og the helicopter is totally dark. Once on the ground it is no better - I can make out a few lamps and car windows, everything else is black!? I am using the latest driver for my video card. The read me file tells me I should "check that anti-aliasing is not forced at the level of the drivers". How do I do that? Or is there a different problem? ------------------ System Information ------------------ Time of this report: 4/6/2007, 12:24:53 Machine name: N5Q9S4 Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.061219-0316) Language: Danish (Regional Setting: Danish) System Manufacturer: To Be Filled By O.E.M. 14. Does anyone know of a free program for writing pdf files?
  15. Hi firefly! Did you make it work? No mater what I do I still have colored text boxes. However I belive that my memory has played trix on me; that the text boxes have always been colored and since they are the same color as the background, I only noticed it now that I use a picture as background ?
  16. Ups - I need help from you guys again . The other day I started having a solid colored text box under the icons on my desk top. Last year I turned them transparant - I just can't remember how?
  17. Well I didn't install an asp.net account actively (maybe it did so on an update?) and I shure don't use it. So as I wrote earlier I deleted the thing and now everything is back to normal !
  18. Hi Wabby69! Unchecking the welcome screen I then had to enter my password all of a sudden?! There was an ASX.something account (totally unknown to me?) - I deleted this restarted and now it goes straight to the desc top. Thank you for helping me out.
  19. The other day my labtop started wanting me to click a user icon to start up. I know that somewhere in Xp you can turn that off so that Xp will boot straight to the desc top - I just can't remember where?
  20. Hi wombat50! Sorry for the long time - had a long break from GR. Got into tactical wargames from ProSim and found the "iron Wrath" mod for Raven Shield and had a go at it. Today I tried deleting all save games and running the "mountain_stronghold" mision again. It worked fine untill I had soldiers right outside the big building, then the game would crash when starting from save game. So that is not it either!?
  21. Thanks ROCOAFZ, but it is that very same store.aopen.
  22. Had a reply from store.aopen - they don't ship outside the US So if any of you guys have an idea where else to get the daughter board please tell me.
  23. Oh Ruin. Your must have special powers then!
  24. Thanks a lot Ruin! Just as Rocky I have found related things but no solutions. Now I've earned another plus at my parents!
