  1. The problem is we didnt get a new Ghost Recon, we got a complete diffrent game whit the name Ghost Recon.

Note what never got patched in GR1... due to these issues, it's not possible without redoing the whole game ... aka GRAW.

The new Ghost Recon we already got... aka Frostbite, HX5 and anything else modders made. This was as far as the engine could go without a New game.

Lots of the features that made us love Ghost Recon, is not in Ghost Recon Advanced Warfigter. Therefore its not worthy of its name, because its not Ghost Recon.

  2. Like others had posted on another thread pulaski, GRIN got this game out the door in less than 2 years, actually alot less than two years. here we were constantly bitching because the release date got pushed back. We may be at fault then if as you say we control the market.

The consumer is NEVER at fault, it was to be expected by UBI and GRIN that

bitching about the release date would happen. The point is, they shouldn't announce

a game that is only half finished, especially if it is long awaited and "constantly"

delayed, because that means that the public will get eager and impatient with release

dates. Let's hope UBI has learned it's lesson from this and will in the future give more

    thought about releasing release dates.

The problem with making announcements too early is that you will generate a

hype and if you then proceed to wait until the game is fully developed the hype will

be over and moved to the next game, costing them a lot of costumers.

So very true, it almost hearts :)

    Mister Lightspeed,

There's the door. Don't let it hit you in the ass on the way out. You've had two years worth of developer information on the game. You have the demo. You've had more than enough information available to make a purchasing decision. You made your decision. If you're unhappy with the game, it's no one's fault but your own. That goes for the rest of you whiners. There's the door. Go away.

I think its you who shall watch the door, when next generation of crap games return, because no one bothered or dared to step up.

U have obviously not read the whole thread there is lots of good arguments why we do not like the game as much as you.

    So go home mister smartazz.

First, I never said I liked the game, or that I didn't. But myself, as well as a great number of folks who have been here for years and years, are sick of the whining and moaning that goes on in this forum. Take it elsewhere.

What you are doing now is "whining", there where absolutely nothing constructive in both your reply's.

"This game sucks!" is whining, not critizism whit arguments.

  5. P.S. I'll be going to e3 tomorrow....and the day after....I hope to see something worth playing...heh.

Really? In what capacity are you going to E3? Are you in the business?

I am doing a writeup for a specific website/company (so I have press).

    -Enven

Cool - please let us know if there is still some hope for the hardcore fans of realistic and tactical shooters.

  6. very true trident. You know what it is with the weapon/reticule thing? I don't mind the weapon in screen so much, but the accuracy drop-off is tough to take. plus, the whole weapon on screen thing is done in soooo many other games. I thought it to be unique in GR1 with the system they used back then.

well any GR game should be aiming at realism, so I don't mind abit that we now have a first person weapon view.

  7. Of course its "unfinished" it was created in under a damn year.

The game wasn't created in under a year. Development started in November of 2004.

Ok fine..Does it really matter. The average timescale for a game development is 3 years. ###### is your deal with finding small details in every thread I make and correcting me? I unfortunatley cant remember every single detail posted on this forum like you magically can. Give me a break. That has nothing to do with my point. The point is the game was made in a very short amount of time. AND THEY ARE GOING TO ADD THINGS WE WANT.

Yes it does matter, its so lame that UBI Soft have only given the developers so little time to create a worthy follower to the [Ghost Recon] game, when they knew how high expectations there where to this game. There is just so many flaws and missings in this game that it is unbelieveble to us. They have hornorstly delivered us a mod edit on a silverplate.

Do not by pass the swear filter

  8. I dunno, this seems like quite a constructive and reasonable thread to me, with no flaming and folks being tolerant of each other's opinions...

Well you must not have read this thread in its entirety. Its the whole damn forum in general lately. You people dont even realize that you are just helping in the further destruction of PC gaming. Its way harder to please us PC gamers than the console ones. Its way cheaper to make games on consoles. If crap like this continues for too much longer with games. Eventually companines will just say F it and stop making PC games. Its a freaking catch 22 with you guys. Nothing satisifies you. I`ll say this crap again. They had under a year to put this game together. They made a great foundation. Its missing a few things, but they are already working on a patch that they plan on releasing in less than a damn month. What is the damn fuss? They are listening to you. You want LMS..they are giving you LMS..You want more maps..They are giving you more maps.If you continue to ###### even when they listening..they will stop listening.

So your theory is.. the more we complain.. the more crap we get?

Ok then - lets all thank "god" for what we get - But all we get these days is pure rubish from the PC gaming idustry - But thank you "god". -- Seriously come on!

  9. Oh yes... ask yourself a question - who's UBI? They are publishers. And who's GRIN? They are developers. Now, read this article and try to focus on pages 2 and 3. Page number 2 is a look at the things from publishers point of view. Page number 3 is a look from developers side.

Now, who's on head? Of course publishers are. What it says to us? We are abandoned, even if developers are on our side. Publishers are the ones that pull the strings.

You are sooo right, and yet the nightmare is only at the begining, I'm affraid.

  10. On a side note, I would pay twice as much for a game if it was geared toward me. Made to please the "hardcore" group as to the masses. Just about everything else in life has "topself" and down. Why can't the gaming industry do something like that?

Indeed - I would pay twice even trible - for - A real quality game brought to the world by love :hippi: - instead by cash :pirate:

    :P:P

  11. Yes that would be a great feature. but I don't think you should be able aim very well when caring a injured teammate.

(maybe add this feature to your Co-op list Dai San).

You can't aim at all when carrying someone, you have no crosshairs, you can only walk etc. This is already included and happens in the VIP mission.

So no need to include it in the wishlist as the feature is already there, just hoping the mod tools allow us to use it ;)

Yeh I know.. but I dont see any problem whit you being able to shoot while carrying a injured teammate, you just can't aim quite as good.

And this would be a cool feature to put in the expansion pack.

  12. Bottom line is UBI Soft can't or will not develope GREAT realistic and tactical shooters anymore. We saw the lame attempt whit LockDown as the first warning.

They are simply aiming for the more avarage players now, not the HARDCORE fans of realistic and tactical shooters. Simply because there is more money in that.

Admit giving GRIN ONLY about a year to develope a worthy follower to the [GR] is just too lame. They are milking the last money out of the Tom Clancy franchise's, they know we will buy the games because of the names.

It is clear to see, when they stood there to make the decition to either make the game more hardcore or more avarage, they chose avarage.

Thats the big deal here I think.

  13. "One more worth mentioning is that you can't jump. That might not be a big deal in the mission portion of the game, but in the multiplayer games that I have played in the past, it’s a well-used tactic to avoid enemy fire."

I thought this was classic. Its from the first link.

hahaha good one, counterboy reviewing GR. :P:P
