well to be fair only LD seems to have been abandoned by Ubi, pretty much every game out there that they have made has had a lot of post release support, even if it doesn't satify the community (RvS comes to mind, 6+ patches) [GR] had a lot of support, the SC series has, the flight sims have had a long history of support and free addons, etc.
You don't even play multiplayer (TVT...the real man's multiplayer) RVS was a huge success amongst the MP crowd...Don't be afraid, come on now, you should try your 'skillz' against real people who won't commit the same move over and over and over...and then you will get owned and you change your name to DimNight

Does everyone understand that the "June Patch" is not the end of the "patches"? If something is missing, we do have the rest of the summer. GRIN is suppose to be working on and releasing patches/features through out the summer (as announced by UBI). There is no reason for GRIN to push anything back when they are going to be releasing a series of patches. If something is "missed", it can be set for release with the next patch.
Don't get me wrong though, I don't want to find out that we're missing promised features. Having to wait for the next patch all the time would be very frustrating. I'm just trying to point out that we have the big June Patch and a series of others following.

I just can't see how its done much good as far getting what we really want in the game. I really hope it all changes with the TDM patch in the fall. I really want to like this game. It has mad potential.
I agree with you 120% and it would have been had they implemented a mere 25% of what the community asked for.
Having contact with the developers hasn't benefited this community until now. Hopefully this will change.
Two good points, and I like the expectation of "TDM patch in fall." I agree. My only concern is if GRAW makes most of its sales in the first quarter of its release, I am fearful however come July/August they will give us another "excited to cancel and work on GR4..."
I'd love to see Grin's Contract with UBI, as Grin is clearly being paid by UBI, and UBI is paying because they see a business opportunity to make a profit, if sales of GRAW are saturated by late summer, who knows what UBI will do...
I do think this game could be a great MP matching venue for years to come....

it's not paitence it's about competition. fewer teams means less competition. they liked the competition of the original GR. but with an imcomplete game at launch driving people away the competition is not going to be there.
also some of you forget how ubi operates. GR1 was supposed to have another patch, RvS was supposed to have the SDK released. Lockdown was supposed to not be a port.....

People have been waiting litterally for years to get GRAW and many of them have had TDM as their main focus. It is in fact very very rediculous to omit it, no matter whose fault UBI or GRIN.

Perhaps you are correct in part. However, I think a large part of the lack of online players has to do with the fact that the MP (tvt) fans of GR are not interested in BF2 meets Counter Strike, i.e. captuer the flag and buying one's weapons.

blood is overrated. rarely will blood go flying out of a body when hit. it may run out on the ground when they are laying there dead but just getting shot won't make blood splatter like it does in hollywood

I agree. In the very least, they, Grin, are conspirators with UBI in poor decision making regarding the MP side of the house.

It stinks that we still have no exact date for TDM!!! Given what Ubi/Grin have said, it could be the end of August before it arrives, if indeed it does arrive. Another near 3 months before Clan laddering begins! Wow.
If they could crank out DM so quickly, why could they not do TDM instead. I think the answer lies in the same layer of reasoning that gave us "Domination Mode," which sounds like someone was on a Bear hunt in San Francisco or Sydney.
And Ubi is based in San Francisco...hmmmSadly, I have seen no more than a few hundred players online (TVT) whereas in GR1 we had hundred of servers and thousands of players...
That's why, for the true MP player (tvt), the hate is warranted.
Until the TDM release, I have not gotten the value I expect for fifty dollars.
Ubi needs to listen carefully for a loud popping noise, that will be their head coming out of their butts!

so let me get this straight, the "touchy feely" turds who got the "no blood, no violence" and what not, aren't going to like the head coming off. some poor kid is going to be emotionally scarred for life when he sees his body without a head on it.
When I get naded, I always lose my head(no pun intended).

No blood is just one more of the many reasons that GR1 gameplay/ realism is by far a stronger game. Another excellent example is impact in GR1, that will make you jump out of your chair! Albeit, GR1's graphics,p urley from an 'eye candy' pov are not as strong as in GRAW.

May be the standard kits will be added too between now and August.
Maybe the MP (meaning TVT cause Co-OP is just that Co-OP) will be done by then as the hard core clans are not laddering on this game, the proof is the pudding, go on-line and you will see no more than 150-200 players on the TVT...
compare that to [GR] where you had the contrapostive, that is hundreds or servers and thousands of players!

Buying weapons is just plain dumb. Don't get me wrong I love the game and I see the point with the supply lines in Domination. But damn, when the US Army goes out to battle does each soldier have to buy there own rifle? I just hope weapons buying is not in TDM when it arrives, or at least an option to turn it off.

#2 Haven't seen any cheaters in any of the 10 major servers. Everything i thought now how could that happen... can be explained by the environment such as sound. (use stereo headphones, eax capable cards and you will see if you turn them up) I get many kills just by hearing them and judging where they will either come out at or where they are.
I'm usually playing with headphones. I know exactly what you mean though. I get a lot easy kills from the so called track stars running right at me. Stop. Listen. Wait. Attack. Unfortunately there are lots of cheaters though. The wall hackers are everywhere. A close friend of mine who works for EA Games gave me a few wallhacks back in the MoH:AA days so I know EXACTLY what to look for. When guys nearby pop out of nowhere as soon as you go to the scope or reach for a grenade it makes you wonder. When one or two players do it consistently it makes you damn suspicious. And when you watch your own guys do it over and over again from a clear vantage point like the church tower on the "Church" map or the top of the stairs on the "Warehouse" map you know something is up. Like I said earlier, it will get worse before it gets better. Hopefully help is on the way though. Seems like GRIN is focussed on supporting this game.
I don't believe they want to support the True MP function which is TVT, sorry Coop crowd...but the tvt MP is where the real action is...
I do hope that GRIN can save this game for the MP crowd, but with no TVT LMS in June, and, supposedly LMS in JULY, the game will DIE!!!
Btw, WHEN in JULY, roughly, will we have our LMS?

I'm glad i'm not alone with the DM situation... how many people actually asked for DM though? I recall a good deal of people asking for LMS and TDM but DM? Whoever decided DM should have a higher priority than TDM, shouldn't ever be allowed to have input on mp on any games EVER AGAIN! Goes to show just how much someone has lost the plot in mp games. For me, it's shaping up that the infamous june patch is going to flunk but I will try and stay reserved because I really do hope they make me along with other clans out there, happy.

will make it's first appearence at the North Con which is a german LAN tourney sponsored by Ubisoft and taking place from June 16 to June 18! . Ubi is going to exclusively release preview versions of the "Patch" to all the visitors of the North Con before this thing of beauty is going public
I'm glad they are patching it & all, it's been "on hold" on my pc until they fix it. But they way they are doing it is unprecedented crapola. I suppose I should thank them for not charging for it the way EA would.

I am amazed that the June Patch is not going to contain TDM, just DM! This is just another missed step by Ubi/Grin. I was hoping Grin would turn my MP frown upside down...
I guess not... did I read this info incorrectly? I hope so, but it appears not...
So, am I wrong then in saying that the MP community has no concreate idea as to when Grin will release TDM, other then the ever vague "Summer" reference!
