I should have guessed that, as if you had "created the game", LockDown, as a former RSE veteran, the game would have been successful no doubt!
Are you working a on FPS currently? As you can see, there is ample market share and not too much in the way of product for a FPS with a strong MP (tvt) side.

ultimately, the best update GRIN could give us, would be the ability to play all the SP maps in MP! probably wouldn't work too well with Domination, but DM and TDM i'm sure could be done with no issues. just give us plenty of spawn points to choose from and we'll take care of the rest.
can't wait for some quality no respawn LMS!

It feels like you are shooting a gun. People die when you shoot them properly. THe graphics are excellent. The games are well balanced. The servers run well. It is anti cheat supported. It's simply the most realistic, fun, PvP first person shooter out there. The only thing is, that it is hard to pick up. Once you do, its awesome.
But mostly GR and GRAW don't feel like you are shooting a gun. It feels like you are firing a little air rifle or something. RvS, AA, and Op Flash just feel like you are firing a gun.
I have fired several weapons, MP5, SAWS, M-60, 50 cal., M-4, M-16, and YES, RVS really did simulate a strong feel for how a weapon operates.
GRAW does a feel bit tinny...i.e. when scoped you can't pull down on the mouse to lower your fire to 6 o'clock, it climbs no matter what, so shoot low aim high as the saying goes...

Patch 1.16 is a semi-failure given its many bugs, and the fact the commuity of MPs is not geared nor was it built on DM play...
I too hope that GRiN can pull of a good TDM.
However, if this patch does not come out until the end of July or August, will the community take off like GR1 or RS/ RVS???
This remains to be seen. But, with presently only a few hundred online, it looks like GRiN could only add gamers. Losing people post the TDM patch would be the modicum by which Lock Down i.e. "Let Down" achieved.
Let's hope that does not happen.

Yes, very good. That's what I am hoping for, a great TDM patch...1.16, given its flaws, did not give much in the way of confidence however...

The conclusions I made are indeed facts based on observations, i.e. Bo has not been present on the forums for sometime, there are only a few hundred, at best, playing GRAW online. When one uses phrases, such as, 'I think' or ' I imagine' those indeed are speculations...being able to use reading comprehension to spot the difference priceless...
here is another Conlcusion, Swedes just got spanked by Germany!!! Never thought I would be rooting for Gremany!!! Well done to the Krauts!!!

Thanks Chaos and Warlord...being an advocate and saying what must be said doesn't always win one popularity. As you said well, 100 online and 2000 members...just do the Math, as I am sure BO has and we all know that GRiN has, at this point, failed the MP community.
His absence tells me that he is, rightfully, very embarrassed, that his "Domination Mode" and "tactical points" is about as big a flop as you can get. Too embarrassed in fact to come here and face the MP community. And after the “extensively†tested patch and all of its problems, I’d think suffering insult to injury really put him out of sorts. One thing is for certain, no matter where he is, he is not here! And that my friends, says it all.
Actions speak louder then words...
And since WK77 has warned me about my zealous advocacy, I just want to make sure that I’m not hurting Bo’s feelings. Check on that for me WK won’t you? Oh, and tell Bo he still owes me fifty bucks. Thanks.

What time did you log on. Maybe theres like rush hour traffic. That would be good actually.
its been all day. from around noon pst to after 8 pm pst there is always alot of people on there (bout the same i ever saw the org have online at the same time)
I have seen no more than 200 at peak times...this means failure...perhaps TDM will fix the problem, but another game
will have opened a can of wopass by then -

I know this has been stated before but why are there so few players. I mean really a new patch has just been released with a new gametype but no one DM server is full not even Dom servers. I understand that some people are shelfing this game until everything is fixed but for me I play this game everyday along with Hitman Blood Money, BF2, CoD2(rarely), Oblivion, and Far Cry. But I always come back to GRAW only to find no players. I am disapointed but maybe thats just me Wheres the love yall.
There never has been many players. None of the pathes we have gotten have caused any increase whatsoever in the amount of players playing GR:AW. It was under 100avg players when the game came out and its still under 100avg players after the patches. GR1 has more players in it right now.
Those are sad facts. Sad but true. Bo's team could not have messed up more on the tvt MP and the lack of online MP gamers proves it beyond a reasonable doubt...you can't get around that one WK77, no matter how much you like Bo, no matter what a great guy he may be, a MP game designer he is not!

Why do you seem to think that only TvT players are the only true MP players? After all, Coop requires more than one player to play it, otherwise it would be just SP.
Rugg reiterated it pretty good. Other GRIN team members have already stated Bo is busy running the studio and other work.
Oh, I have and do play TvT, but it is not my favorite mode of MP (there are 3 modes after all).

Answer: Coop is just that cooperative play against AI, after a run through, you know what will happen, and when it will happen. You simply cannot predict a human opponent in this way.
Thus Coop should not be called MP, just Coop. Therefore, it is the lack of any true challenge presented by a scripted and reptitive enemy, that lowers the level of action and definition. Sorry mate.
I too like all three modes of MP, and I do hope that GRiN delievers as promised...but after they missed the mark so massively with the "Domination Mode" which clearly copied BF2 and that horrible tactical points to acquire weapons, evidenced by only a few hundred online, need I say more...Nope. but be I will, until they get it RIGHT!

Good quesiton. It seems he was present right up to the point where his much hyped "Dominatin Mode," failed to capture the MP (tvt) audience as evidenced by the meager 200 tvt MPs online.
But given the many and serious problems with 1.16 patch which by GRin's own account evaded their "extensive testing" I would guess he is very busy bunny (get it Bo and BUNNY
). Perhaps WK77 knows more about his whereabouts? WK77 seems pretty dialed in to the going ons of GRiN.

Bohemia interactive just celebrated 5 years of great games recently, i Would expect to see many including myself enjoying the next 5 years of gaming playing Armed Assault
( for me the previous 5 years were dedicated to GR1 PC)

even though there was only 6 players on one of the official servers yesterday, it ran remarkably well... for a while, and then they closed it down. ideally, those servers should be hosted on monster machines with insane bandwidth connections. we'll see...
We me and a few others went in one of there servers and it ran like it was using 2 cups and a string for internet connection..

Oh yeah, the MP is so awful it is beyond words. And words are not even needed. Jump online and you will see the few hundred or so people playing tvt...so sad...
Bo should listen because the fat lady is singing a song to him...It’s Serenade Domination Mode, quick BO, use your tactical points to Buy earplugs!!!
GRIN has failed. I have little faith their patch "to come" in July or August will be able to turn things around. I hope they are wrong b/c I miss the matching...

I know Ive read everything about MP but it doesnt give the feel of the MP of GRAW.
Im only a multiplayer person not rele interested in SP, so my question is whether GRAW is a good MP or is it more a game for SP. Im used to games like counter strike source, if a person plays CSS will they like GRAW???
Not sure whether I should buy it or look for something else. Is GRAW like a game where you can just go straight CSS ainto like nd head straight into a match or is it like BF2 where you have to login and takes hours just to load a map and then u die as soon as you spawn and then suddenly the map changes.
Thx if anyone actually would answer to this question
The MP, true MP (tvt) isn't done yet. They are promising to release TDM either in July or August...if you go online there is not more than 200-300 people (tvt)...
If GRIN can turn the MP frown upside down, the game might have a chance, but currently it looks like she will go the way of 'Soldner.'
The demo will give you a feel, but there is no MP (tvt) on the demo...
In its present condition, GRAW sucks.
We'll have to see if BO can fix it...

I just want to make a short statement about the issues many of you have seen since the release of the patch.
We are now aware of them, most notably the CD Key rejected issue. Unfortunately they eluded us during the extensive testing we performed on the patch, but we're handling this as top priority and hope to have it resolved soon. Keep reporting bugs and issues, we appreciate every bit you feedback you give us even if we aren't availiable to reply to all of them on this board.
Server admins: make sure you have your bandwidth settings set properly, setting it at 1.5 Mbit can be quite taxing when the server sends information at 48 Mb/s to 32 clients, unless you have the bandwidth.

Update: As a workaround you can run your server with anti-cheat disabled.

Now how "Extensive" was the testing? That is a retorical question. Morever, running the server with the AC off is a work around... nice one.
I hope they work "Extensively" on TDM...
