  1. I dont understand..? It has been said countless times that we would be getting mod tools...Why the change?

No mod support = Quick Death

Especially considering that we only get 5 MP maps to being with. With no way to create more maps..Its gonna get dull fast.

  2. I cant count the amount of times ive thought to pull out a pair of binos while playing this game. So I could scout an area before I decide to fire at an enemy soldier and give away my position to the other enemy troops. Then realize that in the future the military doesnt offer you binoculars anymore. Please give us some binoculars in a patch. Its hard to play a military sim tactically without them.

  3. I used to have a top of the line system that I had to sell due to financial reasons. I now own a 3200+ 1gigRam and a 7600GT. I average 40-50 fps (max settings\med texture @ 1280)when there isnt much enemies or action going on. At times though it can drop to as low as 15fps. Im thinking its the CPU because it seems to drop every time a scripted event happens. Like when you get into a certain area that triggers enemies to spawn, I get the lag. No matter what I do, I get the exact same frame rate. If I turn my graphics to the absolute minimum I still only get 50fps. So that makes me think that its the CPU that is limiting my performance. My question is what do you guys think? What would be the best upgrade path for me. CPU,RAM,or Video Card?

  4. I give it a strong 8. I guess I am just lucky but I am not having any problems whatsoever with this demo. The graphics are maxed except texture on a 7600GT. It looks ####'n beautiful. I dont have any jagged lines. The Sound is absolutley amazing. There are a few slight gameplay issues and no multi support but overall. Im very impressed.

  5. It doesn't look like we'll know for certain what weapons are going to be in the game until, at least, the demo. Maybe not even then, depending on what the demo includes. However, between what has been said by the developers (Desmond has mentioned a Barrett a few times, I think) and what has been in the recent videos and stills, does anyone feel like taking a crack at putting together a list of what weapons we have seen or heard of so far?

Here are the ones that I can think of, off the top of my head real quick. I know there is at least two more that I know of, but cant think of atm.

    Mk 46

    XM8

    Scar-L

    Scar-H

    Saw

    M99

    MP5

    Crye

    Barrett

    M9

    Glock

    Hand \ Smoke Grenades

    AT4 Rocket launcher

  6. Lots of insertion zones to go along with the random insertions.  GR1 had 4 insertion zones on each map for LMS games.  8 or more would be awesome.

you want tactical team game,, but prefer to Land man standing Just play DM with NO respawns, DONE

Capteenix, you are no fan of no-respawn you have stated that. Do you ever think about what you write?

If you play DM with no respawns, what prevents you from winning the game by simply eliminating the other team and ignoring the DM rules? Domination is about controlling zones, when you have respawns then you concentrate on aquiring real estate, not wiping out a renewing enemy. With no respawns, you now don't really have to bother with the zones, you just eliminate the other team. Since this mode is set up w/ tactical points rewarded for control of supply lines, you never really get access to decent weapons because you are simply killing the other team quickly. Point here is, DM won't work with no respawns. In 4 years of matching on GR, I don't think I ever played one match w respawns on. I enjoy respawns in fun games, (seige and command and conquer) but nothing personally gets my adrenaline flowing like a one-life, death in an instant game like lms.

I won't tell you how to play multiplayer, quit telling us please, and think before you type.

Now on with the topic at hand. There are a lot of good suggestions, basically what I would like is the GR1 options with a little better server info and admin control. Things like Iggy suggested - the match info packet; and stuff like the ability to boot or move players, even in game.

Good points, I would also like to see a server option where you can have an Auto-kick or auto block feature for players who have really high pings. Also, the ability to see players pings while in game, instead of just pregame. An auto-kick feature would also work well for Tkers. Nothing worse than joining a game without a host and having a "team" of tkrs ruining the fun with no way to ban them. :wall:

  7. My only question, and i think the answer is already NO, but

Will we be able to turn off the Weapon thats on screen??

I've attached an image to try an explain why i think it needs to be toggled off, purely because i feel it would be a distraction during multiplayer gaming.

If it can't then maybe we could mod/replace the texture with an Alpha texture so as to become transparent.

    Good point, and good question.

  8. The domination mode looks like it would be fun. But, I still cant get past the fact about you buying weapons with tactical points.. Add the fact that its a respawn game and there will not be much laddering untill a patch is released. To see how alot of you actually like the idea of getting to buy extra weapons while in combat, is just beyond me. Anyway, just have to enjoy the domination mode untill patch time.

  9. Anyone know what the deal is with the part where a ghost takes out a tank with a rocket launcher?

I thought there weren't any rocket based infantry weapons in GRAW, at least I haven't seen anything to that degree from the gameplay vidoes or kit loadout screens.

Its an anti-tank weapon, what else do you expect an infantry unit to use against armor? GR1 had one, GR2 had one, and GR:AW 360 had one, so I don't uderstand why you would be surprised.

Im glad we have ATR but I was under the impression we wouldnt have them due to being able to call airstrikes on artillery.
