  1. 1.) What is up with the sound detection grid? does it not work in team death match? I really hate it when I know i've been shot, but I don't have an ubber sound system that tells which direction it came from, I look at my detector to know where to look, nope...it doesn't work!

    I hate this the most when I'm being attacked by a sniper; jesus I here the bullets zoom by me, I wanna know what direction that thing came from, and sound being my only option~ I can't use it! Not to mention that you guys took at the tracers (or reduced them to the point that you have to be looking for tracers to see them.)

    2.) Draw distance, when I"m a sniper I go to the highest point of the map, find a nice spot....I look down at the map hoping to see movement...32 players in the server..16 bad guys...You think I'de see them moving from cover to cover like rats in the dark...nope, I found that odd~maybe these guys are just really tactical!....NOPE I zoomed in on my allies diamonds only to see that their models don't show up, their guns flares do! but the models don't! My draw distance for the models is VERY limited, I dunno if its like that for everyone, but it is really...annoying that I can't even see my allies and I on'y see their gun flares as if a ghost (lol, pun) were shooting with an invisible gun!

    I don't see a draw distance option...so I just assmumed its capped by the game, is their any way to fix this maybe?

    so that explained why I wasn't seeing my enemies moving around!

    those are my only gripes really...it all depends on the other maps!

    the demo though for me is a 9/10, very well done.

  2. Been a While since I've posted; but I have to say I like this game a lot...however what I don't like is the map...I dunno, I really need to see these 8 other maps because on this maps it feels as if someone is forcing me to wear sunglasses that I can't take off.

    besides that, I really like it, no qaulms really...except for a few I'll mention here and in the demo opinion topic

    So will I be buying the game? Probably...though they missed the KEY point of the game for me, team work, being able to communicate and attack as a team(sqaud)...however my current life style doesn't allow for the dedication it takes for a team work game, this is tactical still, but lacks communication team work which is fine, I'm a busy guy and I just like to hop in and be able to play with who I got! so good job their , haha!

  3. HH is a joke, not only in the aspect of spawn raping. It's just that the DEV team did nothing to improve on any of the complaints the game had.

    they didn't improve one single thing to gear this game towards team work at all.

    Graphics 10/10

    Sounds 20/10

    Coding 8/10

    False advertisment skills 50/10

    Gameplay 3/10

    Graw is just Qauke with out jumping sadly, it even has a rocket launcher called "Grenade launcher"

    I was an avid supporter, I don't know who to blaim? does UBI really control what you can fix? You didn't gear the game at all towards team work, not one single team work options AVAILABLE AT ALL.

    Look at Team Death match? everyone goes off in their own direction, EVEN BF2 encourages team work more than this. In BF2 people naturaly assist eachother because the game play mechanics force you too.

    In this game...sigh I can't spot my enemey, I can't communicate with my team mates, can't order them, can't even get them to stick together, or aim at the same target, or ask for support.

    sadly, I have lost faith...I'll keep GRAW on my computer because its a shiney Qauke, but its not the Ghost Recon I was waiting for, I even waited till the end of summer too.

    IN the future, I'll be avoiding GRIN and UBI soft games that advertise Team work, or Milk Cool game titles and wait for the game the establish itself before peeking into it.

    BF2 is more fun, since it offers some form of team work, which is why I BUY gamesl ike these.

    Sorry GRIN, but you failed at your original goal...Yeah this game is fun for solo players, and sadly to say, it does fall under "Run and GUN"

    -Never have to Look behind me

    -Never have to Look around a corner, (Seing the person first has no value since it doesn't affect your aim, or does anything to give the advantage)

    -One weapon rules the entire game (Grenade Launcher)

    -No team work at all

    -1 person is better than 5 people because of a weapon(ala... grenade launcher)

    -Even if you try to work together, their are no tools in the game that allow you too.

    -This game carries Ghost Recon's name, and name only =\

    Better luck on your next project, but you won't fool me again.

    Also, I don't plan on spamming the forums like most people do. "LOL, GRIN SUXORS, THEY MADE ME WAIT ALL THIS TIME FOR THIS"

    It is a buissness, I Understand that, but It is also my job to be a smart consumer. You don't buy eveyrthing you see on a commercial do you? Well I guess I'll have to start applying that games too since they can get away with false advertisment.

  4. lol, no server dedicated files, oh well. The games is good~I just can't play with the lag, it ###### me off and thats because we have no SD, oh well this is the last release for the summer too.

    I'll be putting graw down I suppose after trying this new pack out for a week or two.

    The new modes look fun though.

  5. I'd just like to add, that the type of hardware you have is only half the battle. Many PC users fail to understand that a PC is something that has to be maintaned, just like oh lets say a car.

    Though, I'm not saying that you arn't taking good care of your PC, I wouldn't know but it might be something you want to look at.

  6. So, why we have GRAW not like as [GR]?

    What does it mean?

    That means:

    1 - why principal features like hand, leg, head injuring, injury motion, prone "hard-to-turn" motions are not allowed

    2 - why we hadn't classic [GR] game modes when game relized

    3 - why we have a raw game with many bugs

    4 - why GRAW so fanciful: 4 soldiers vs ARMY of terrorists (do you like Hollywood blockbusters?)

    5 - and principal question: why GRAW is Ghost Recon?

    As a person who likes to read everything before making or forming a solid opinion on a subject, I will try to answer these questions based on what i have read from these forums, GRiN members, and Ubi Soft Forums. I do no claim these answers to be 100% accurate, but they are most likley right.

    1. As stated by the team much earlier in the year, with the alloted time they had. They could not creat the animations it would require to carry this out and it is my personal feeling that this "limping" feature would not do so well in gameplay, though I wouldn't mind it my self.

    2. Stated by GRiN member(s) before, here is a little info that may "enlighten" you to who to point the finger at. The game you have now was not the game Ubi Soft wanted you to play, even the features you see in the game now were not suppose to be in in the game GRiN(Bo) was stated to have tried his best to fight Ubi over what the game was suppose to contain. What Ubi Soft really wanted? Who knows really. But you have to understand their is a bissnuess side to this that we have no knowlegde of, Their are things GRiN cannot say because of leagle matters, with this information I am sure we could understand why the game came out the way it did, but we do not, nor can GRiN tell us.

    But what I can tell you is as that GRiN isn't out to Torture you! They are here in the forums trying to mold the game based on our opinions, it is funny how we overlook the simple things. For example the HUD, remember what it use to look like? and then GRiN took our input? How can you be mad at them when it is clear they are here to make a game we like. They are paid already~ They will continue to get paid wether this game floats or sinks, why would they be here still if they dindn't care.

    3. Name me a game that didn't have bugs and I'll give you a million dallors from my savings account.....(BtW I never encounter techincal bugs with GRAW thus far)

    4. If you paid attention, you would know that their is a war all over MEXICO CITY, The GRAW team you control is a special ops team that doesn SPECIAL MISSIONS, they arn't their to fight a war, they are doing special task. They are only a 4 man team do to their equipment being so advanced.

    5. what kind of question is that? Do you own the GHost Recon title? I thought Ubi Did, sorry. They do what they want with their title, your the one to blame if you buy a game or ANY product Based on its title alone.

  7. DisgruntledArchitect, you know when you put it that way. it changes my mind. Hey, your were more co-vert than your oponant, that is your prize for seeing him first. Your not ment to be able to defend your self from a bullet fire. Your defence is not being seen or team mates covering your 6.

    If your seen in real life its over...So I guess i'm for it now =) haha, see what comes out of mature debating =) rather then flaming.

  8. lol, to say that GRAW feels like Counterstrike and Battlefield, CkZWarlord, makes it hard to beleive you played the game =\. No dis-respect or anything. It is much closer to GR1 then it ever will be to BF2, Counter strike.

    But then again, I guess that an opinion eh? But then again if I said GR1 was arcadey, no one would value my opinion =).

  9. Now that i put some deep thought into it.

    The effect of being knocked down by a shot or burst and still be alive is some what a good idea, but it depends.

    I see so many senerioes where I see a guy point blank and shoot him? he falls down (still alive) and he can't shoot...thats a good 3 seconds of me just looking at a guy on the floor. It eliminates the players chance to even fight back. (their are alot of CLOSE encounters over Long Range encounters in GRAW on majority of the maps, in my experience)

    But it would be awsome in maps like church where, for instance, I'm in the church tower and I ge shot in the shoulder and go down, cool. The wall in protecting me(cover) and I re asses the situation even.

    But with the nade launcher! lol, yeah, one shot to putem down~switch to nade launcher and finish him off. That how the game even plays out now.

    I here bullets duck for cover. The bullets stops~ you know its coming BAM nade launcher =).

    I dunno, I have mix feelings about it, but right now I say nay to falling down after being shot.

    Also, camera going crazy after being shot~ I don't think it is good. I think you should lose your aim a great deal, but not make the camera go crazy. Perhaps blur it from pain, I dunno.

  10. Well,Peace...the players not even noticing the inferface is really the communities fault. It is one of my gripes with the interfeace. If it were interactive like the XBOX 360 version

    (where it stands out, rather then my eyes go looking for it)

    But the community wanted the interface toned down so much that it is basicly...not their. I have to search for my ammo, and I have to search for my pulse, it should pop up right at me like the original layout would have allowed, but it doesnt' with this toned down interface.

    Another example of that is the navigation, when it picking sounds It flashes, I don't even know which direction because the colors arn't bright enough, it doesn't pop up at me, again something the community wanted.

    Also, I don't get this.

    "and players who actually do notice it may even think the moving aim is mouse lag or a bug..." So they notice it, and they think it something else?XD Well it works, and they think its bug/lag?

    However, I do agree with you on the sound! I should here heavy breathing after running! (good point)

    When you run in GRAW, you will notice the 4 marks very far and distant from the center, it may not represent the speard of fire, but what it does inform me is that targets over 50 meters will be a pain to hit (I know this, I've tried it) Even when walking, if you are over 50-60 meters, I won't hit you dead on, I may get lucky have 1-3 of sparys in your general direction hit you (and in GRAW 2-3 hits and you are dead.

    but I also wouldn't mind it your way too peace, either way is good to me.

  11. though, we already have topics for this. Posting another one only shows how interested the community is in this game, so I'm for it.

    I disagree with 3 of your points, Player should be able to run as much as he wants, its a complicated thing. For example, you are running from an enemy and your get tired all of a sudden and cannot proceed? In real life, it doesn't matter how tired you are, if you are in danger your body will remove its limits to ensure your life.

    It is only logical to allow the player to run as long as he deems fit. The consequence to it though is that after running your aim is very far out until you it centeres back in (takes about 3 seconds)

    Too much smoke? You mean debree? I never see any of my guns smoke =p. Debree is an effect you get when you hit dirt/concrete. it depends what your bullets are hitting.

    Combat rolls? I don't see a need for them...I am not sure how that would work.

  12. Grenade Launcher rant:

    After using the Grenade launcher myself I have just relised that it has no aiming problem what so ever, it is 100% accurate after running, sliding, and even walking it is 100% accurate.

    This weapon was not designed for close combat, yet in this game the solution to ending everyones life is the grenade launcher.

    I say you decrease the accuracy of the grenade launcher in motion (this includes walking also) and make it most accurate when crouched, not moving.

    right now, it really is like a rocket launcher.

    Grenades:

    I've had fun with this yesterday, I used it to clear areas in shanty town. I love rolling it in the area instead of tossing it because it makes it much harder for the enemy to see. It is very usefull if you know when to use it.

    SAW:

    Dear god, I love this baby. I held off 6 guys by myself with this thing, I had them all ducking for cover in shanty town. It is very affective. I wasn't even aiming at anything, I was just spraying the narrow ally and I nailed 6 guys. I through a grenade to keep them in cover and bought some more grenades.

    I defenantly see this weapon being very usefull in matches and sqaud work, but it doesn't seem to have the same killing power as the Scars.

    Lag or Animation error?:

    this happend to me more often than than I would like, I'm walking down an ally...tactical in all. and a guy turns the corner "running" and I unload on him and magical bullets come out while he is still in his running pose and end my life, or the combo of Running and magical bullets come out on sight.

    I'm getting better at this game, whats holding me back is not having anyone covering my 6 and suporting me. I'm making bold moves like Should I check the left first or right? and thats a risk I shouldn't have to take if I had a partner to work with. or someone to cover me as I laydown smoke for us to pass through.

  13. I really don't see what you complaining about? you main point seems to be your do not understand what to do or what the terms they use mean? They use terms that the military uses perhaps? I havn't been in the military and I understood everything they said and told me to do.

    "fed up of starting from the same point all the time."

    "Fed up of dumb team AI and lethal enemy AI."

    "I bought it without checking out the demo first (hey, it’s GR1 – just like the game I know and love) – installed and played."

    - In GR1, the problems you listed exsisted already..., the AI from GR1 is no where as good (in my opinion) as GRAW'S enemey AI and Allies.

    -Being shot from no where? You mean you were shot by someone you dind't see? That happend in GR1 to me all the time! How could you say you loved GR1 and have never felt the "shot from no where" feeling. Its much more worse in GR1 because your camera goes insane when your shot so you can't even identify it properly (unless you are experienced).

    -Starting from the same point all the time? You mean you want quick saves in SP? Perhaps~ I really didn't mind since Dying ment that the enemies got reshuffled in different positions. Quick saves would eliminate the Shuffling of enemy positions...

    Well, if you don't like the game, sorry to here that! Alot of people were turned off GR1 until they sat down and tried to understand how it works rather than going with their own mindset on how it is suppose to work. :thumbsup:
