  1. Warning: Long read, but for anyone who wants to know a bit about Arma 3, please stick around. I've been modding for this game for 15 years, and worked as a developer for projects based on the RV engine, which the Arma series is based on. This is a discussion to which I would very much like to contribute. To begin, some of the comments I'm reading seem to be confusing AI with scripting; Ghost Recon's AI wasn't great, in fact, they were highly predictable, frustrating and in many ways, completely horrible. 3. Parabellum, first I want to say thanks for the constructive criticism and enlightening comments. I have (like most of the ARMA community) tried to figure out the 'mystery' of the sim's AI. 1. What Ghost Recon did well, however, was to simulate basic small-unit tactics by using scripted sequences to control the AI units in certain situations. When Ghost Recon's AI had to actually

  4. OK I love the mission so far! the M110 sounds pretty good and the voice acting is better than some professional games I own. I did find a arrant texture that needs to be removed: Hopefully this shows where it is. It looks like a panel you can only see in one direction. I need to get some comrades to help me get through it tho. Sp is gonna be a HUGE challenge lol. Great work!!!

  5. It looks like its failing, but hanging in there, it was an NTFS error that caused the problems, i've backed up the models now so it can fail to its CPU's content. I will take that as a compliment :3 the biggest two tips of all that I can give as a beginner is use a ghost recon head model/set up schematics for proportion help, and try to follow a concept, i'm doing on helmet at the moment and its not following a concept, i'm finding that one exceptionally difficult.

  6. Do not worry comrade! I understand completely and I'll be on the lookout for what. Anyway I am very grateful and hope for the time you need for final development, I'll cross my fingers ( ) that do not have difficulties making cancel will the project (as happened with the guys from Project Novo) and I wish you well! Greetings...

  7. Hi soundwave Having the drone as an actor would definitely not work Haha I did use the scale actor thing in kriegsmaschine to make the big hunter zombies and the valkyrie demon thing No for the drone I'm using the talos gun robots from hk assault special mod as seen in the previous pics. They will operate more or less like any other vehicle in ghost recon and will not be directly controllable by the player but will be operated from a fixed location by allied support units who if killed will cause the drone to go offline (same goes for enemy drones) Id like to make a better mor

  8. danke Squad_e aaand here's a concept of what I hope to be able to get in the final image: and yes, this is an actual render of the hemlet on a static background: the model will be recreated in 3dsMax with straighter edges and more versatility.
