Slaughtering dolphins in Taiji, Japan

Pro's- the dolphins' meat is used for food. With nearly half of the world's population living just in Asia, they need every source of food they can get! Dolphins are not so different from tons of other animals slaughtered for food by the tens and hundreds of thousands every year, like cows and pigs. And fish- the tens of millions of them eaten every year. Crabs. Lobsters. Shrimp. Americans love their TURKEY!

Con's- the manner in which they're caught and slaughtered is quite inhumane. Further, major aquatic life venues such as Sea World and most zoos which display dolphins buy them from these fishermen in Japan from the same slaughters. These are wild animals corralled by the tens of thousands (estimated around 20,000 annually) to be killed. Dolphins are believed to be HIGHLY intelligent animals, perhaps second only to humans. They're social critters with family-oriented behaviors.

Don't have a link, but check it out on YouTube. I happened across a big deal about this subject on there and it got my blood boiling. Maybe I AM a sicko in need of psychiatric care. Or maybe I'm right. What do YOU think, fellow gamer?

This issue has been on the news lately. As you know, passengers are charged for excess baggage. Basically it's because they take up more space and will ultimately use more fuel.

I'm not a 'weightist' at all, but here in America IIRC, 67% of the country is overweight and 20% of those are obese. Houston, Texas, has the proud title of being America's 'Fattest City'. On a recent flight from Newark to Nashville, I had the discomfort of sitting next to an overweight man who, legs apart and elbows out, read a book for two hours. It was pointless me asking him to politely keep to his side because he wasn't physically capable, so consequently I was shoved sideways against the window for two hours!

Anyone else got a similar story?

I played and beat the SP missions online before I beat them in SP for the original and expansion packs. I liked being able to do that. Can we get the same thing with 2 developers working on seperate aspects of the game? I don't know. I hope so, but only time will tell.

I've been asked to obtain feedback about the new 'Lockdown' box artwork that was just released. The US PS2 artwork is on the left and the UK is on the right. The other platforms will be close to this design, if not the same.

I know it's a move away from what we're used to, and one obvious change is an image of a terrorist. Typically, the artwork has been focused on the 'Team', so here, we are shown a fresh approach and hopefully this will apply to the game's development.

Banned in several countries, including Germany, the Swastika is still seen as a symbol of evil.

I've noticed in WWII based games, that developers and publishers don't show the Swastika as the symbol of German forces. Instead, a cross seems to be the preferred symbol. Granted, this is what's displayed on Germany's AFV's, ships and aircraft, but if the game's are set in WWII, no matter what genre they are, then shouldn't the Swastika be displayed?
