	Hi, so I've never played Ghost Recon back in childhood as I was too young and stupid to play tactical shooters properly. However, I rediscovered this gem about a year ago and been having a blast playing this. Now one thing I always wanted to implement into this game was a SPAS-12, as I own one in real life and it's one of my favorite guns in my collection. I managed to find a SPAS-12 model here: <a href="https://www.ghostrecon.net/files2/index.php?act=view&amp;id=117" rel="external nofollow">https://www.ghostrecon.net/files2/index.php?act=view&amp;id=117</a> and I've been using it quite well. It's a nice model, and since I'm already familiar with how to mod game logic, I was able to add it into the game, make it part of a kit, and then run around shooting Ruskies in the face with 12 gauge buckshot.

	However, I would like to see if there are any models that have higher res textures or more detail, as this mod does date back to 2005. I especially would like to add detail to the top of the gun, as the heat shield has vent holes at the top as well as the sides. I also would like to add two sides to the gun, as the texture just depicts one side so there's two low res ejection ports on the gun. I have attempted to do this myself but whenever I tried installing a legacy version of 3DS Max (5 to be specific), I keep getting a "cdilla.dll" error. Looking online seems to indicate that's because such an old version of 3DS Max is no longer compatible with Windows 11. Attempting to use the plugins on a more modern trial of 3DS Max also failed. I'm a bit at my wits end here and honestly, I have never done any modeling or texture work myself before so it'd be a long learning curve even if I did figure it out.

	So I'm asking now for anyone in this community if they can or have already done something like this? The weapon model textures look really nice in the Heroes Unleashed mod and I'd like something similar to that for a SPAS-12. I have found other mods with SPAS-12s as well, but I specifically want the version with the folding stock unfolded. The other two I found had either the SPAS-12 with the fixed stock or the SPAS-12 with the stock folded over it. At this point, I've exhausted everything I can think of doing myself so I'm reaching out for help.

	Also, I only need the .qob and .rsb file. So long as the .qob is complete with a proper ejection, muzzle flash and holster point, that's all I need. I already implemented all the game logic and kits needed to get the gun working, so I just want an updated model and texture. Really, I mostly just need an upgraded texture file. The model itself, while low poly, is still perfectly serviceable.

	As I didn't want to derail <a href="https://www.ghostrecon.net/forums/index.php?/topic/61275-weapons-mod/" rel="">pz3's weapons mod thread</a> and yet have an apparently insatiable craving for additional firearms to appear in good old Ghost Recon, I hope you folks can forgive me for starting yet another weapon model wish list. If you don't object, I suggest we keep this thread pinned, so it can serve as our collective register of "missing" Ghost Recon weapons.

	Every now and then, e.g. while browsing the internet, I stumble upon yet another interesting assault rifle, SMG, shotgun etc. and think to myself <em>"better make a note of that one, would make a nice addition to GR"</em>, only to completely forget about it later, and maybe some of you can relate to this. Anyhow, with this thread in place, I invite all of you to add your latest object of desire to this probably ever-growing catalogue, so if some of our nice 3DSM modellers are looking for new candidates, they'll have a place to turn to for inspiration.

<p>Hi, i don't know if it is the good place but ...i modify all my guns to have scoped wiews , all reticles (thanks ingeloop !) are unified in 512x512 and i replace the black external circle by a thin grey one ...and i use as mask_sr a combination of "heroes unleashed widescreen " and "sniperteam widescreen" but this "sniperteam" mask was made for a 1680x1050 screen resolution and appears oval on my 1920x1080 screen. <p>Hello,</p><p>

I have a custom scope mask (mask_sr.rsb) that forms a circle right around the edges of the scope, yet the area that is masked off is only about 80% opaque.  The goal was to create more of a realistic feel of being "in the scope", yet not have everyting else totally masked off as though you'd have no situational awareness at all.  I'm happy with it.</p><p>
</p><p>
The issue is that I'm trying to replicate the effect with the NV version of the mask (mask_sr-nv) which does not have an alpha channel by default.  I've added the same alpha channel that I use on mask_sr.rsb, and while I notice a slight difference, it's still a wide, horizontally elongated mask.  </p><p>
</p><p>
I am assuming that the game applies the NV mask in a different manner since it does not have an alpha channel, instead just using the RGB channel.  I can change the size of the RGB image to match what I'm doing in the other file, and that works for reducing the size, but then I lose the ability to make the black area a little transparent since there's no alpha.</p><p>

<p>Hi, i go back on some weapons to use in a mod of my own gun selection  and i discover a problem with the silencer texture of the ZM LR-300 SD  i find in FL-AVA 1.4  mod...i like this gun very much but i see that the silencer has no hole ! i see in the model .qob that the silencer is in fact a "bipodfeet2.rsb" ???? i can change it in "skinner" but i don't  find a supressor who match very good ....an idea ? did i can find this gun with the good texture in an other mod or help to draw the hole in the RSb file ? thanks in advance .<img title=":help:" alt=":help:" src="https://www.ghostrecon.net/forums/uploads/emoticons/default_help.gif"></p>

<p>So It's been a very long time since i haveplayed GR i used to change things around a little for a few guns i had....</p>
<p>now i am starting to remember a little here and there.....I couldnt get igor to even load past the splash screen....i made a installer from one of the igors on a disc and walla....</p>

<p>So the question is....If I were to make a new gun file , what files are associated with a gun file to make it work properly.....if i were to say put one together and drop it into GR/Mods/original mis folder.....</p>

<p>Hello, as old (in time of playing and age !) dedicated fan of GR , i retake interest in the game i leave for a while because i see on the download section a huge choice of new mods, missions , campaign ! it is a pleasure (with a little more time now) to play again at G.R ...i make my own mod of my selection of favorites weapons ( for my personal use) and the one i prefer is , without contest, the Diemaco_SFW_SD from "Frosbite" but i am surprised to not find the same without G.L ( but with frags) ? There is a technical reason or a realistic one ? i use also the different versions of the C8a1 from "BjB sabre team" but it seems to me that the SFW is more powerful ...So, question, can i modify (with permission for my own use) the SFW by removing the GL , and if possible , can be done in a simple way (modifying existing files ) ??? .Anyway , thanks to all these talented modders who keep this great game alive ....thanks in advance for help.</p>

I have a 3D modeling request.<br><br>
I assume most people here will know the "Mission HX" mod by Hantrox. In this mod there are a number of 3D models included that can be used as objectives: a radio tower, a truck and a couple of crashed helicopters. As far as I can see these models are actually weapons that can be assigned to an invisible actor so they can be used as objectives.<br><br>
I would like to ask if someone here would be willing to make (or convert) a 3D model of an <u>intact</u> helicopter for me which can be used in the same way as the Mission HX models. So it has to be a weapon with the shape of a helicopter. (It doesn't have to be a functional weapon and the .gun file I can make myself, I only need the .qob file.)<br><br>
Or does anyone here know of a simple way to convert a .pob file of an existing helicopter model into a .qob file (with all the required data so it can be held as a weapon) without the use of 3D Studio Max?<br><br>
At the moment I'm using one of the crashed helicopter models from the MHX mod and it does the job but it's weird to see a broken and smashed helicopter hovering in the sky, so if anyone here could help me with this I would be very grateful.<br><br>

<p>I was wondering why it seems whether you are in a firefight or a mission, enemy AI's tend to fire one shot at a time, even when they have fully automatic weapons like the AK-47. Is there a way to script the bad guys so they always fire in full automatic mode instead of single shot?</p>
