Right now there are only 2 TV programmes that I watch every week, only 2 shows that take me away from this 19" CTX monitor - and they are both reality TV shows.The first has been running for a few weeks and features multi millionaire Alan Sugar selecting a new executive from a pool of supposedly up and coming hot shot execs, and it's called The Apprentice.Each week the group is split into two, given a task (like selling art) and the winning team is safe. The losing side has 3 members selected to be fired, and at the conclusion one of them is indeed fired.At the end of the show the last remaining player will be employed by Alan Sugar, and can expect to make in excess of a million pounds.Watching the females members biatch it out is great :devil: The guys don't biatch (as much), but it's hard to believe these guys are really any good at what they do, with maybe 2 or 3 exceptions.The other show that's just started here in the UK in The Contender, a reality boxing academy hosting by Sly Stallone. The first part aired here this week and was awesome. At the climax one of the two camps had to decide who to send in to the ring, and also pick their own opposition. After deciding, the smallest guy there basically stopped them in their tracks and said he wanted to fight the biggest baddest boxer in the other team. Why? Because (1) he thought he could take him and (2) if he won, it would be a massive demoralizer for the other team, their best fighter defeated by the underdog. Everyone was like "woha, that's nuts", but they went along with it.Prior to the fight the top dawg, with a record of 20 wins no losses, explained how he was doing it for his family and his tiny 2 year old baby girl. This guy was motivated, had the tools, and the 20-0 record. What happened? He got his butt KICKED. The wee guy totally trounced him, and everyone watching was slacked jawed with surprise and admiration.Oh, like I said, we are only on week one of The Contender, so if anybody here even THINKS about posting any results of upcoming fights I'll ban yer ass. :devil:
