Dan Brown Books
I've just finished my 2nd Dan Brown book - Angels and Demons. The first one I read (in record time) was The Da Vinci code. The Da Vinci Code is an amazing book, it tells a fascinating fictional story based around factual locations and societys. The massive interest in the book spawned a whole Da Vinci Code industry that has spawned countless other books that investigate the contents and try to separate the fact from the fiction. Sony are going to be distributing the movie based on the book sometime soon, starring Tom Hanks and directed by Ron Howard.Dan's previously published 3 books are now also flying off the shelves.Angels and Demons was a fantastic read. To start with it is so like it's successor The Da Vinci Code that I really felt a bit cheated. The similarities between the two books are really blatant. Towards the last 3rd of the book though, Angels and Demons starts to take more twists and turns than the Da Vinci Code did, and I did find myself racing through it as I had done with the Code.I've started my 3rd now(Deception Point) which is so far a great read too. Digital Fortress will be the final one I read, and it is already sitting on my bedside table waiting for me to fly through Deception Point.Dan Brown has made himself a tidy sum from 4 books, granted mostly due to the success of only one of them. £140 million to be exact. Anyone wanna help me write a novel?
