At worky today, and rather nice lookin girly from the netherlands was in. She had been in a few times, mainly puting all her photos from her 2 month trip onto a CDRW. So she is workin away at that, and asked me for help. For some reason Nero was having a sad, not letting her write new files to the CDRW, it kept wanting to erase the contense.After a bit of fighting with it, i we thought it was set. She burns it, then i come back as it finishes. She checks the CD, and there is only the few pics she had just added on there.Nero had gone ahead and wiped the CD. 2 months worth of pics down the drain. Zapped into oblivion but an optical laser. I spent 25minutes sitting there, crawling through caches and temp files, trying to find somewhere that nero may have dumped the pics after reading them or something, but no. Gone. I didnt think i would find anything, but it tried for her sake. Luckily she posted a CD with most of them on there to a friend, and she also had some, lower res, on a web site.But still, massive pain in the a.rse and an extra worry for her. I gave her the cost of the computer use free, i felt like utter crap, so i was partly responsible for the it. Why didnt i just move her to another computer? Stupid is me. Nero and I arent on speaking terms at the moment.
