Da oh r god christ ######!!My brain hurt after this one pimps and ho's, ill tell ya that. After i cleaned out this corner full of Misc. Computer crap, and stack it all neatly and everything, I found a burner, brand new, still with nero etc bundled with it.I told the IT consulatant, who was responsible for the mess in the corner, so later he stuck it into a computer. Now what we do at work is give people USB card readers, for the little flash cards in theur cameras. This means we dont have 56,000 different types of camera software clogging up the PCs. The computer with the new burner, number 4, was running a basic USB Mirocsoft intellimouse (pure gold at my work i tells ya, rare as rare can be!) Using windows ME. So this dude goes over, plugs in the card reader, and bjdbglsft, thge mouse freezes. Pointer dont move.He unplugs the Cardreader, and its fine. I come to investigate, and send him off to another computer.I investigate, and it seems that even tho both USB ports are working, there is not enough power to allow the USB mouse and cardreader to operate at the same time. :wall: Now one of my grand plans is to consolidate the computers, into good ones and crap ones. Having a CD burner makes number 4 a good one, so i wasnt about to take away its precious intellimouse. So i had to go to the back of every single computer, anc check to see if there was a rogue USB->PS2 adaptor around. I had one before, but it was getting used. The fact that there are maybe 10 intellimice, which i know come standard with a USB->PS2 adaptor, and only 1 adaptor made me angry. So i ended up find one, after 15 mins of looking. The computer that had it didnt have a Burner, thus it doesnt really need its USB ports, so i plugged the mouse in there and used the adaptor on Number 4. Probalem solvered the gahetto way.... :stupid:
