SUBJ: Summary (Part 5)
As this blog series draws to a close, I've learned and understand some of the different perspectives and how passionate some of the fans are about the series.
I think there are a few key events that really divided the community and left it where we are today. The obvious and probably most damaging event was the cancellation of Ghost Recon 2 for PC. Obviou

SUBJ: The “Futuristic Technology” argument (Part 4)
In the fourth part of the ongoing Ghost Recon old vs. new debate, the focus will concentrate on the evolution of high tech weapons and gear throughout the series and discuss the merits of the "Futuristic Technology" argument.
There are certainly other issues that are commonly mentioned in the old vs. new debate, but none as pr

SUBJ: The “Ubisoft Money Making Agenda” argument (Part 3)
While there have only been a handful of takers actively participating in the “old vs. new” debate, I think the discussions have been engaging and (surprisingly) peaceful. The thread is getting a lot of views and, if nothing more, at least it gives us all something to think about and discuss while we wait for more intel from

I've spent the better part of the past two days playing the new Splinter Cell: Conviction game and I often find myself wondering if this is a preview of what Ghost Recon Future Soldier might be like. The new concept artwork that was mentioned a few days ago is back and would seem to suggest that G4TV got a little trigger happy and posted the pics before they were supposed to. SUBJ: Official Xbox Magazine Summary
This bit of information (again, none of it is really new) comes from the May 2010 issue of Official Xbox Magazine. I’ve read the article a time or two (or five) and was going to wait on posting anything about it, but with all the other press releases that came out yesterday piled up on my desktop, it’s time to get something on the street about
GRFS Old vs. New Debate Part 2 - The "Ghost Recon" argument.
I'm going to open with a disclaimer first because, of all the various parts of this blog series, I think this will likely be the most controversial. One of the things I admire about www.ghostrecon.net is the mature audience that, for the most part, can carry on a civilized debate (I'll be the first to admit I'm guilty of getting out of line from time to time, so I'm certainly not pointing fingers). I enjoy discussing and debating th
We interrupt this broadcast to bring you this public service announcement.
I wanted to take a moment and clarify a couple of issues and make a few points, so I am going to step out of character for a moment and address these “real life†or “real world issues†I suppose you could call them, that have sprouted up lately.

1. Thanks to HQ and the Charlie Oscar's connections, I got a sneak peak at the HD version of the Live Action Video. (Yeah, okay...the video is available to everyone now - no big deal, I know). It didn't reveal too much over the lower quality version, but there were a few things I noticed.
