| Description: | Massive unofficial expansion pack for Ghost Recon with a huge campaign, new maps and models, and never seen before innovative features.
Set in the Central command area of responsibility, CENTCOM is a full Ghost Recon expansion pack with 12 new missions, each with an exclusive fan made map and command map. CENTCOM missions take place in the combat theaters of the current war on terrorism (OIF/OEF) with real-world-mission-objectives and realistic kit load outs. CENTCOM incorporates all aspects of real-world-mission-objectives into the mission campaign, including stealth, convoy hits, personnel elimination, search and destroy, and firefights. Features: All material contained is exclusive to CENTCOM including: CENTCOM Mod: --12 mission campaign on... --12 new maps with command maps. --User interface and mouse icon. --New music and sounds. --Several new vehicles. --New textures and decals. --Each new weapon has been pulled from the Mod Team's real world experience or from photos. --Several new gametypes BLUE FORCES: --All Special Forces kits and weapons have been replaced with new SpecOps weapon configurations used in real life. --Real weapon reticles for all optics and iron sights. --fully replaced allied playable characters and specialists with Special Operations characters with woodland and desert camo for MP and SP including up to 24 chrs for Multyplayer. --Five new kit options including --CENTCOM Standard --VBSS --Specialists --SEALS --Special Forces OPFOR: --All OPFOR kits and weapons have been replaced with Taliban, Al Qaeda, and Iraqi Insurgent weapons used in real life. --The enemy AI has been tweaked for use in CENTCOM missions. --Real weapon reticles for all optics and iron sights for playable OPFOR weapons. --New OPFOR characters. This Mod is dedicated to the men and women of armed forces all around the world fighting the global war against terrorism, to the service men and women, and the families of service men and women who have lost their lives fighting in Operation Enduring Freedom or Operation Iraqi Freedom, and to those who lost their lives or family members due to the terrorist attacks on 9/11/2001 This Mod took several years to develop and consists of a very large amount of material and took a great deal of work to put togather. Alot of time whent in to making sure the mod was balanced realistic and consistant and that it all fit togather well. There are also alot of innovative things in this mod not created for ghost recon before and alot of items and material specifically for addon makers and scriptors to extend their mission making abilities. Because of the ammount of thought work and time that has gone into this mod we wish for it to be kept and played in one piece as is and not to be dissected apart into various compilation mods. The majority of the material in this mod was made exclusively for centcom and has never been released previous to its release in centcom and we would appreciate if it is kept that way and not removed from centcom to appear in a compilation. We support and encourage addon makers and mission scriptors to create mods and missions that require centcom activated and can use the centcom material in that way, and it was our intention that this mod would provide the needed elements in its current form to supply addon and mission makers new material without having to remove material from the centcom mod its self. UNZIPPING INSTRUCTIONS ====================== CENTCOM is zipped using a high compression tool. This allowed the mod size to be reduced by over 100Mb from standard compression techniques. To Unzip CENTCOM follow these instructions. 1. Use winrar from http://www.rarlab.com/ or Install the free 7z compression utility (visit http://www.7-zip.org/) for the latest version. 2. Drop the file archive Centcom Mod.7z (300,500Kb) into your Ghost Recon Mods folder. 3. Right click on the Centcom Mod.7z file and select 7-Zip > Extract Here. CENTCOM is now installed, see the Readme.txt file in the "Centcom Mod" folder for usage instructions etc. For further support or help visit www.GhostRecon.net. NEW MISSION PATCH FROM TINKER DEC 2009. Simply put - Wow. This mod serves as lasting evidence of just what is possible in the modding world. From innovative features, to smooth, inventive, fast-paced gameplay - it is perfection. Minor quibbles regarding language aside (like the newspeak 'contractor' rather than the more honest & accurate 'mercenary', for example), it is just not possible to heap enough praise on all involved in CENTCOM's creation. A truly impressive must-have mod. |

Dear Anonymous, You can get it from FileFront, which DOES allow download managers, but only with this workaround. When it eventually cuts you off from downloading after like 12 hours, revisit the place on FileFront where the File is (the place where you click the download button), and then go to your download manager and click resume, after a few seconds it should start back to downloading! |

Gave me a reason to reinstall the original Game--and get the expansion packs completed; was playing GRAW but holding that off for now to play CENTCOM. Keep up the great work and thanks for all the hard work. BTW anyone able to mod in thermal sights and the M32 grenade launcher--looks like the USMC is using them now--probably the specops guys would have these tools as well since they are usually outnumbered and go in for a higher firepower/soldier ratio This is our GR2! |

Perfect gameplay, max realism, not too scripted like some mods tend to be, and we get to spank al qaeda for 12 missions. I only saw a few minor bugs, who cares! 9.5/10 |

excelent mod, but many bugs but those are minimum in comparison of the fun you have, tough AI wich is cool does anyone now about a hold the base mod, that works respawning you randomly like this centom gameplay does? that is what ive been looking like crazy and adding this AI it might be quite fun to see |

There are some bugs, but it is a very great mod. It is better than IT. Only a little question, in the 4 mission i destroy the convoy with crew and soldier but it say the goal is incomplete. Do i download patch for that? Thanks for this fine work boys
