-----------------------------------

Kit Constructor allows you to create (.kit) files which are used in Ghost Recon
for weapons combinations. Not satisfied with the original weapons combinations
in Ghost Recon? Create more and use them in the game. This new version adds support
with the Desert Siege and Island Thunder expansion packs and weapons.

1. Installation
-Install Kit Constructor using the Kit Constructor Installer.
-You do not need to run Kit Constructor from a certain folder or
location. It doesn't matter.
-Run the Kit Constructor program to begin!

2. Using Kit Constructor
-To use the Kit files you could replace or add to the original files
that come with Ghost Recon but that's messy and things could go wrong.
The easiest thing to do is create your own mod (modification). A
mod is an addition to an original game. It can add artwork, sounds,
missions, skins, ect.
-To create your mod, go into the Ghost Recon folder and run a program
called "Igor". Go to the file menu and go to Mods. It should come up
with a window. Now click "New" and it should come up with a box asking
you to save the new mod folder. Name the mod folder "MyMod" and save it.
-You should now have "MyMod" in the list of Mods in that window. Quit
out of Igor and go to the Ghost Recon folder and open the Mods folder.
Open up your "MyMod" folder. Now open up the "Kits" folder. Now create
four new folders. They must be exactly like this. Case sensitive.
Named-
demolitions
heavy-weapons
rifleman
sniper

Now that you have these folders this is where you will put the (.kit) files
that you create in Kit Constructor. If you have a kit file for a sniper giving
him a barret sniper rifle for example and some grenades, you would put the kit
file in the 'sniper' folder. Then in Ghost Recon that kit file will be available
for any regular sniper (Not available for the specialists, that is a little more
advanced). Now you have created a kit file and placed it in your correct folder
for the correct soldier class. Now to run Ghost Recon and see if it works.
-When you run Ghost Recon and it starts up. Click on options. Then click on
the Mods tab at the right. Then click on the "MyMod" and activate it. Make
sure the "MyMod" is the only mod activated. You know it's activated if it shows
up in the right space. Now click OK and get out of the options screen and back
to the main menu. Now try a mission. Click on the soldier class and click the
bars to cycle through the weapons. And there is your weapon! Being held by
a soldier in the screen. Nice job.

-Creating Kits For Multiplayer Use-->

Create a new mod like is shown above and then go into the mod folder, then Kits,
then multiplayer. Create the .kit files and put them in here. Now go back a folder
so you are in the the kits folder. You should see a file called, "no_restrictions.kil"
Open this file up using an easy text editor like notepad. You should see under the actor
names/types there is a list of kit files that are available to them. Type in exactly
as is shown in the other lines and put in your .kit files names. DO NOT DELETE ANY OF THE
ORIGINAL LINES! That is bad. I would suggest making a backup copy of this file before you
start. Now just go in and select the mod and you should be set. All people playing multiplayer
must have that same mod running however. Happy shooting.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The interface and how you use the program-
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The main screen of Kit Constructor shows information on the program. You must make sure
that the folder where Kit Constructor is stored is always correct in the folder path on the right side. If not, just re-adjust
it accordingly.
Go to the file menu in the upper left corner and you will see four options.
-Create Kit(s)
-Customize Files
-Single Kit
-Quit
-Quit will exit the program.

-By clicking Customize Files, it will open another window.
This is used only for people who have experience using kits and the files that are used.
You can add custom weapons and items that you have made here to be used in creating kits.

-Click Back to Menu

-Click Single Kit. This should bring up another window. This is only for advanced users who know the .kit coding. You can open
up existing .kit files and modify them or create your own completely from scratch.

-Click the "go back to menu" button to go back.

-The last thing you can do is create kits. Go to the file menu and click Create Kit(s).
This will open up a new window. Choose an item on the left. Now choose item(s) on the right side.
This will create multiple combinations of the first item slot and the second. Choose
the folder where the .kit files will be saved.
Click the button on the bottom to start the process.

-It should open up another window which shows each item in each slot.
So all you have to do is look at the items in the slots and type in how many magazines you want in each slot and choose the kit texture (.rsb) that you want the kit to use.
Click the button on the right hand side to go through each kit combination until your finished. These kit files will be saved in the folder you specified.
