The legality issues of altering Ghost Recon code has prevented gamers from lawfully applying unofficial patches to Ghost Recon to avoid hunting the CD out every time they wanted to play Ghost Recon. An interesting new product is now available which achieves the same aim (i.e. keeping your original CD safe), but does not alter any of the original games code. Even more interesting was seeing Ubi Soft make a statement on the subject.Ubi Soft’s worldwide technical director is quoted in PC Gamer as saying this…
“The more ease of use and flexibility you give to a player the better. Shortening the time it takes from ‘I want to play’ to ‘I’m now playing’ is crucial.
