GR2 Weapons
Posted by Rocky on Thursday, September 16 2004

New information on Ghost Recon 2 and it's cutting edge weaponary! The Future Force Warrior has two new exciting features, weapon video output capabilites, and range activated grenades from an underslung grenade launcher.

The video feature will allow the Ghost to hold the weapon above or around obstacles and sight targets via a mounted video display. From the description so far, this is not unllike the CornerShot that we speculated might appear in Ghost Recon 2, way back in April! You can see how a weapon mounted camera system works and see some video footage by reading our CornerShot report.

These new features also appear in new multiplayer game types. You can read more about these features in this forum post by Zero Alpha, the lucky chancer who managed to see these new features in the flesh!

OTS
Posted by Rocky on Thursday, September 2 2004

Ubi Soft have released a superb new Ghost Recon 2 movie showing a lot of what Zero Alpha reported in recently. It's one of the best quality movies we have seen so far and showcases alot of the new features in Ghost Recon, most notably the over the shoulder view and first person view switching. We also get a good look at the character models, which are arguably still the best in the business.

Don't miss this 45Mb movie, 3dgamers download mirrors here, discussion here!
