GR:AW 2 Announced
Posted by Rocky on Tuesday, October 24 2006

You read it here first, because the announcement is hidden away amongst Ubisoft's financial statement released today, but there it is in black and white...

"Ubisoft today announces the launch in the fiscal fourth quarter of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter™ 2, which will capitalize on the first episode’s success (more than 2.4 millions copies sold). This launch will take the place of Assassin’s Creed™ and Brothers In Arms Hell’s Highway™..."

GR:AW is also singled out in the 2nd Quarter Highlights where it's success at the BAFTA awards and on Xbox live are singled out as a major success.

Attila has started discussion on the GR:AW 2 announcement here. Gamespot have just picked up on the news, thanks to Wikkid666 for the info!

Sig Awards 29 now in progress
Posted by Dannik on Tuesday, October 24 2006

Sig Awards #29 is now in progress!

This one is an homage to our missing Graphics Master, the.ronin

Is he on a sabbatical? Mexican prison? Undercover with the CIA? Drunk on a beach in Majorca? We don't know, but we're counting on you, trusty sig masters, to find out for us!

Prizes, as always, include absolutely nothing, other than bragging rights. That and a t-shirt. To claim your prize, find a t-shirt you already have, pull out a marker, and write "I won my own shirt in a GR.net sig contest." We won't laugh. A lot.

With apologies to our friends at SimHQ for the late post, here's a link to an interesting game review published last month, that will be of interest to all you tank simmers out there. This article on Steel Beasts Professional gives a detailed review of this remarkable $125 game that comes with no less than twenty seven PDF instructional files! Can you say "hardcore"?
