SR2004 Finished!
Posted by Rocky on Monday, July 19 2004

The final leaderboard for Alpha Squad's Stealth Recon 2004 Tournament has just been published. The winning squad was...Unknown Enemy! Congratulations to the winners, indeed every single team that took part and saw the campaign through to the end deserves recognition.

It was a fantastic tournament, run with the usual high degree of professionalism by Alpha Squad. The challenging missions that Alpha Squad prepared for the tournament were challenging, entertaining, and even innovative and once again the community finds itself in their debt. Thank you Alpha Squad!

Ghost Recon.net's own competitive team finished joint 5th in the leaderboard, you can read more about that at Tactical Elite.

The SR2004 missions will be available for public download soon, Alpha Squad are finalising release details now.

The DTD Team Mod has been upgraded to version 1.1 which corrects an issue with a kit in the "team spec" weapons kit restriction for MP, and a few other minor tweaks. Fans of this great mod should delete the old version and install this full new version. Visit DTD for more or download directly from here right now.

Streinger
Posted by Rocky on Monday, July 19 2004

In our 4th Ghost Recon Modder spotlight Giwex has interviewed Streinger. Most fans will already be aware of Streinger's awesome Ghost Recon mods, but perhaps don't know much about the man behind the mods such as his Croation Army modification.

"Q: I believe you served in the military during a real war and not only in game? Can you tell us something?

A: Yes, that's true.. during the war in Croatia, I served in Croatian army, as an infantry medic... but have to say that medics in Cro army ARE combatants.. meaning they carry weapons and participate in combat duties"

New Dedi Online
Posted by Rocky on Thursday, July 8 2004

We have a brand new dedicated server online this week, thanks to those top folks at GameServers.net. With almost 900 game servers online these guys really know how to run gaming servers. Currently we are running Ghost Recon, Joint Operations and two Team Speak sessions on our server and it's running like a dream. Read more about Gameservers.net here and check their competitive pricing here.

The Ghost Recon server is running at IP 83.149.64.1 and will be open for public use out with official Team [GRNET] practice times. You can check what map is running and who is playing at our competitive site Tactical Elite, where details are displayed in real-time on the right of the news page.

We are also providing a free Teamspeak server on the same IP for the use of other squads and Ghost Recon.net regulars, and hope it is of use to Ghost Recon fans!
