GR:AW Modder
Posted by Rocky on Tuesday, September 19 2006

Today we are unveiling a major new section to the site - Ghost Recon.net Modder. I've been working with DonMiguel to create this new resource for all Advanced Warfighter modders. It is still very much a work in progress, but we hope to see it grow with unique and exclusive features and tutorials for modding GR:AW over the coming months. We hope you find it a useful modding resource for Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. Comments here please.

Already there are modding tutorials for Lights/Lamps, two tutorials on Sounds, how to use the Bundle Extractor, and a remarkable GR:AW Modding Glossary by DonMiguel. There are more tutorials already waiting to be added to this section, so look out for those over the coming weeks! Thanks go to DonMiguel, Ruin and some of the GRIN guys for their support and initiative in getting this major new section up and running.

Ghost Recon Dugg
Posted by Rocky on Friday, September 15 2006

When Digg featured a new tactical gamer article at dslyecxi.com it was good to see Original Ghost Recon (OGR) get a mention in their Tactical Gaming Index. Sadly OGR was relegated to the foot of the index though, seperated from the likes of Operation Flashpoint and Raven Shield.

Of course I couldn't let that go, a brief debate later and I'm happy to say the OGR is now up there at the top of the index, where it should be!

Another Award for GRAW Xbox 360
Posted by Rocky on Friday, September 15 2006

Yesterday we posted about GR:AW Xbox 360's remarkable 8 nominations in the BAFTA video games category. Today I noticed that GR:AW has won another award, finishing first in GamersReports Top 10 Worst XBOX 360 Achievements table!

Here's what they had to say about GR:AW's World Champion achievement...

"This tops the list because it’s simply not a fair achievement. XBOX Live’s Major Nelson has this achievement, primarily because he got an early copy of the game at a time when frankly, there wasn’t anybody else playing it. More importantly, it’s not something anybody with an expert level of skill can accomplish. Ultimately, somebody who has had the game longer than you can just win more than you ever can, despite your record. In that regard, it tops the list."

Hopefully early next month Ubisoft will be celebrating some real GR:AW awards when the BAFTA results are released!
