Ubisoft Speak Out Posted by Rocky on Thursday, December 30 2004
Ubisoft's CEO Yves Guillemot has spoken out regarding Electronic Art's recent acquisition of almost 20% of Ubisoft in an interview with Game Spot. During the interview Yves Guillemot confirms his view that the $85 million+ share purchase is a hostile move by one of their competitors, but also diplomatically adds ".... getting great games out there is a common goal". These shares also give Electronic Arts a way in to the lucrative mobile games market as Ubisoft already have invested with Gameloft. Some of you might recall we were very impressed with Gameloft when we reviewed their Ghost Recon Jungle Storm for N-Gage QD here. *UPDATE* CR6 has just linked us up to the very latest development.... "Ubi Soft Entertainment SA could receive government support in its fight against the threat of a takeover by US video games giant Electronic Arts"
This subject has stretched to four pages now in our forums, pick up the pace with this latest interview as posted by Zantar45 here.

Neither publisher has made a public comment as yet, but that doesn't stop you from having your say! Here's an update (from gametab) that puts a slightly more worrying slant on things.... 9/10 Posted by Rocky on Saturday, December 4 2004
Here's two new Ghost Recon 2 reviews, both scoring 9/10.XboxCore say ... "great gameplay surpassing even that of SOCOM, amazing Xbox graphics... highly recommended"
and Xbox3565 have prepared an interesting Ghost Recon 2 v Halo 2 comparison. Although both games socre very closely in each department, Xbox365 have scored Ghost Recon 2 a whole 20% better than Halo 2 for online play. "The satisfaction of killing the enemy in Ghost Recon 2 is far bigger than the all out attack mode in Halo 2 - the pressure of getting nailed is also far more extreme...Ghost Recon 2 is about as good as it gets online"
