Dev Chat!

Ubisoft have announced a develop chat coming soon! There will be two chats early in December, one for the PC version and one for the console version. The official site has all the details you'll need to connect including the times for many places across the globe. Additionally, to maximise the chances of your question being answered, you might like to check this forum post where Colin links to all the known information to date!

Kimi has published a new Advanced Warfighter report at 1up.com. Based on an exclusive look they had at the Dry Docks map, they came away very impressed. Read the 2 page preview here, and just stare lovingly at the new images here. Kimi clarifys some of the reports content in our forums.


GR Phone Booth

While composing my latest blog entry, regarding Google Video, I came across a Ghost Recon movie I'd never seen before, remarkable! Remember that Colin Farrell film Phone Booth? Well, the scene hasbeen recreated using Ghost Recon, and it's not half bad - check it out! Adult language warning. Thanks to the NTHW clan in the UK for putting this footage together!

The teaser site for Ghost Recon 3 Advanced Warfighter has been replaced with a full blown official GR:AW portal today with a flashy interface, and lots of new content. (Firefox users are not welcome, so make sure you use IE or Opera for this one!)

There are new screenshots, artwork and media like animated signature images to get stuck into. The new movie posted is a smaller version of the movie listed in our previous news post. Definately try and grab the HD download version to fully appreciate some of the new details.

Bitshot and dead0n have released a new map pack featuring two brand new maps, both in night and day versions. All of the stock Ghost Recon gametypes should be playable on these maps. Download entry here, feedback here!


M-468 v1.2

Militiaman has released an updated version of the M-428 weapons modification for Ghost Recon. Contributing talents include Militia Man who made the gun files, DTD who made the weapons and prozac made the attachments, with Jay316 doing the exporting of the models.

""M-468 Mod Version 1.2 adds six new 6.8 x 43 rifles and one .40 S&W handgun to your Ghost Recon arsenal.  Two of the new weapons are sniper rifles.  Various original Ghost Recon arsenal weapons have also been updated.  The modification also contains a new mission for all you Ghost Recon fans to enjoy."

The website of The Official Xbox Magazine has a new feature on Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter that includes some superb new images. It's quite a good feature that covers amongst other things downloadable content, the co-op campaign, and of course the new screenshots from the beautiful Arroyo map.Visit the article and view the screen shots here. New Campaigns

Over the next few days we're going to have quite a blitz on new Ghost Recon mods. There's a special treat for owners of both Ghost Recon and The Sum of all Fears, in the form of a brand new mission from Streinger and GiWeDa called "The Punisher". Then later this week we'll be releasing Ghost Turbulence, a new 7 mission campaign from Ghost Troop.

But we are starting off with another massive mod from Sixpence - Hidden War v1.3. In this mission pack you'll find 15 missions that can be played as a solo campaign or online in multiplayer. As usual with Sixpence mods though, that's not all, as you will also find custom vehicles, characters and more! Read more and pick your download location from our Hidden War download entry.


GR:AW Access All Areas

Red Storm Entertainment invited a select panel of gamers to take an inside look at Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 360 in their North Carolina offices yesterday. Among those lucky attendees were two GhostRecon.net staff members - zjj and HatchetForce.

They are preparing a full report on the multiplayer alpha build they saw, and the details Red Storm shared with them in a special report to be published here soon. In the meantime you can check this forum discussion for more details, where you'll see HatchetForce say this about Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter.

"People should be get ready to have their world rocked right over. There is no game in development right now that looks like this game."
