R.i.P_Rob mailed in two missions recently, so I've packaged them up together and you can grab them here. These are the first two missions Rob has put together, and one of them is the biginning of a new campaign he is working on.

"This mission is the first of it's series for World War 3, the mission is about the beginning of a war which russia starts by attacking american and UN soldiers in germany."

That would be Pyscho Dad's Weapons Mod v2.0 here, featuring a neat chicken launcher just for laughs, and some nicely modelled weapons, as seen here in the forums.

DWilliams has released a new coop mission called Slash and Burn. You can download the mission here, and post feedback or questions for the author here. Here's a brief outline...

"A large plantation has been identified as a cocaine manufacturing plant and rebel stronghold and must be shut down. A SA-13 mobile SAM launcher is also on site and must be eliminated."

With the blessing of the respective modders, Thumper has created a Weapons Compilation for Ghost Recon. The pack features some of the best weapon models ever seen in Ghost Recon, aswell as an Impact grenade added by Thumper. Read more in this forum thread, and download the (updated to v1.2) mod here. You'll need both official expansion packs to play this mod.

While Ubi Soft's upcoming First Person Shooter XIII might not be of immediate interest to hardcore realism Ghost Recon fans - you might want to take a look at this new video.

The video is under 2Mb but manages to display many Artificial Intelligence features and how enemies react to the actions performed by the player. For a breakdown of what is happening please check this forum post in our Computer Discussions forum.

Stalker Zero's Cool Siege missions have been enjoyed by a select few for a while - but now they are available to the whole community right here. You'll need Desert Siege and Island Thunder to play most of these missions, so make sure they are activated and check the readme for more instructions.

Here's a new map for Island Thunder that is based on a, you guessed it, traffic jam.

 

This is the first map from Hartog of the Alamogunfights and has been providing them with some good sniper games. Download the map here and unzip to your Ghost Recon Mods folder. Leave comments for this first-time GR mapper here.

Thanks to a post by jimpc on the GR-Retreat forums it looks like there is a fairly simple fix for Korean fans having the "42%" error during installation. You can read the fix here, which involves changing a setting in the Regional and Language options of the Control Panel in Windows XP.

Viper-6 mailed in a mission mod for the Elite Ghosts out there, rookies need not apply! 15 minutes has an (unsurprisingly) 15 minute time limit.. here's what viper-6 had to say about it..

"For the most challenging results, play co-op (no threat indicator) with no more than 3 team members total (maybe 4) and infinite respawns. Just extract to your origmiss folder and you should be set."

This is a new mission mod from Tom Murphy that is based on a fictional mission about the 75th Rangers going back into Mogadishu to clean out the rest of the Hadr Gedir Militia. Download the 80Kb mission here.

Swartsz sent in his much awaited weapons modification Silent Warrior V2 a few minutes ago. I know a lot of die hard Ghost Recon fans have been waiting for this mod - so you grab it here now. The mod features nine beautifully modelled and textured weapons including the the D.O.A.R, five M4 weapons and three M5 weapons.

It was back in April that Swartsz first posted "made my first weapon model today" in our forums, it's pretty neat to see what he has managed to achieve in only 8 weeks. You can view the growth of this mod in this forum discussion.

Mission 2 will be played from friday the 13th 2000 London Time. Start scheduling ASAP please. Valid match starting times are from 1pm New York time to 11pm New York time. The mod contains an interesting story, news skins and attachments, new vehicles, and good use of non-player characters to help the story along.
