Ubisoft are lining up some incredible Ghost Recon Future Soldier Collector's Editions for the games release in March this year.

The above Collector's Edition is from New Zealand and contains an embossed steelbook case, teeshirt, hardback artbook, short movie DVD, and litho prints.

MVC are reporting that this Collector's Edition is exclusive to New Zealand, so stay tuned for details on other versions very soon. In the meantime, post your thoughts in our Ghost Recon Future Soldier forums.

Gamespot have a four minute video interview with Ubisoft's Yann Suquet that reveals some new footage and details on Ghost Recon Future Soldier.

Yann starts off by describing how Future Soldier's enemy artifical intelligence means very little mission scripting, the enemy react to the Ghost's progress.

Ghost Recon Future Soldier on the PC may track hardware changes to home computers and refuse to run on systems with more than 3 upgrades if Anno 2070 is typical of Ubisofts DRM strategy for 2012.

Guru 3D posted this week that they are unlikey to review any Ubisoft PC games this year if the DRM anti-theft protection on Ubisoft games use the same anti-piracy measures as Anno 2070.

The new protection system tracks PC hardware upgrades, classifying more than 3 upgrades as suspicious activity, and locking the game.

Ubisoft have finally confirmed their plans for Ghost Recon Future Soldier for the PC. In this press release, they confirm the multi format launch will include a PC version, the first official statement about a windows version of Ghost Recon Future Soldier.

They also announce that the release date has been pushed back to Q1 2012/13, stating a May 2012 target launch. Expect to see a multiplayer beta released in April!

Although Ubisoft have yet to confirm a PC version of Ghost Recon Future Soldier, EB Games are once again taking pre-orders for the PC version of GR:FS. Gamestop have also just added it to their online store.

Back in November we reported that EB Games had PC version boxes in store, and again this week we recieved word that they are taking pre-orders for the PC version, and it is "legit".

Ghost Recon Shadow Wars lost out to Shogun 2 in Gamespot's 2011 Game Awards in the Strategy section. It was also nominated in the Best Handheld Game, but lost out to Ghost Trcik Phantom Detective.

Shadow Wars might be a different direction for the Ghost Recon series, but we liked it a lot.

@Gamer had some hands on game time with Ghost Recon Future Soldier with Red Storm recently and have just published their thoughts in their online magazine @gamer.

In the third community answers session Ubisoft address fan questions on subjects such as hardcore, co-op, game engine, and.... beta in January!

Pre-orders for the Xbox 360 version of Ghost Recon Future Soldier are reported as up by 2,000 pre-orders this week compared to 4,000 last week. This makes for over 160,000 pre-orders for Ghost Recon Future Soldier on Microsoft's console alone. The PS3 version has over 60,000 pre-orders bringing Ghost Recon Future Soldier pre-orders, 15 weeks prior to launch, to around the 120,000 mark.

At this moment in time, PC Gamer's Ubisoft interview remains intact and un-edited, stating that Future Soldier is a Console release only. PC Gamer have declined to comment further.

How would the well recieved 3DS launch title Ghost Recon Shadow Wars have fared if it was 2D, and didn't have a split screen?

We're about to find out as Ubisoft is about to bring it to an iOS device near you, very very soon. We loved Shadow Wars on the 3DS, as you can tell from our Ghost Recon Shadow Wars Strategy Guide, and while some of its charm will no doubt be lost on a 2D device, the rock solid and engaging gameplay will be just as good.

Ubisoft are set to open the doors on Ghost Recon Commander, their social network tie in to Ghost Recon Future Soldier and Ghost Recon Online.

Discussed a few weeks ago on Inside Social Games, Ghost Recon Commander will allow Facebook'rs to interact with their Future Soldier game from within their Facebook profile.
