I can't see the download button!
Apparently some firewall programs can stop the download button from appearing. Trying disabling your firewall momentarily and refresh the page.

I get a "invalid key" error at Filefront
This error occurs sometimes unfortunately at Filefront during maintenance, please try again later, or use a mirror location identified on our download entry for that mod.

Where are the downloads stored?
We have partnered with two websites to bring you the majority of the mods in our database. They are Ghostaholic.com and Filefront.com. These sites host and transfer the files to you free of charge. You may wish to click an advert on their site, or send them a donation to help cover the costs that they incur to send you these files.

How do I download the file?
Once you have found a file you want to download simply press the Download button that appears right below the file information table. See the image below for an example.

Why is the movie I downloaded not playing?
Movies can be encoded using various codecs in order to make the file size as small as possible without sacrificing quality. On the download page we will record exactly which codec is used. Install the noted codec and the movie should playback. Below you will see a list of commonly used codecs and where to find them. Note that there is always a free download, you do not have to pay for the basic codec installation.

• DivX (DivX also has its own standalone player that you can install for free)
• Xvid

If you are not sure which codec is being used, you can download this free tool called GSpot which will analyse the movie file and reveal which codec you need to view it.

The download is a rar file, what do I do with that?
A RAR file is a compressed file, just like a zip file. You'll need a tool to uncompress the file before you can use it. A good free tool which handles many different types of compression is Izarc, and it's free!

I get an error when trying to download a file.
Just below the download button, there is a link like this "Report Broken Download Link". If you click that link a form will appear with the name of the file automatically inserted. Please complete the form by adding your email address and details of the exact nature of error.

Also note that we try and provide more than one download location so that files are always available and you do not have a frustrating wait. Alternative download locations will be listed in the file's information table in the Mirrors row.

What is the comments feature for?
At the foot of every download page there is the option for users to leave a comment about the file. Comments left by other users will appear automatically in date order, most recent first. Please restrict your comments to your views on the actual file, do not ask for help or support using the comments feature - it will only be deleted by Admin.

We encourage all users to leave a comment about the files that you download. Other users find this of great value when selecting which Ghost Recon files to download.

How do I install a mod?

Why do you use Filefront for download storage?
We constantly seek out the best place to store Ghost Recon mods for you to download. Downloads costs money, even though the mod is delivered to you for free, it costs the provider money to transfer that file to you. For that reason some mod hosts will have a pay option where you can join for a small fee - the benefit being that you can download the mod without having to wait in a download queue. If you do not want to pay to join sites like Fileplanet and Filefront, you can still get the mods totally free, but you might have to wait for a few minutes in the download queue.

We also put a lot of effort into finding free download locations with no queues for mod storage. These often appear in the downloads section under the mirror entry. These are good alternatives for the mainstream download sites. Support these sites by clicking on their adverts or donating to cover their costs.
