Pretty understandable that you would like to make your own maps, instead of using the stock maps, but....

The alternative is looking at the custom maps and see if there is something there that will suit your needs

I know it would take a lot of effort to make a map and even if you are able to make one, it will be hard to get it just the way you want. Not even mentioning the costly software needed
