you know like in CENTOM, where everyone looked to be sitting on a chopper, how do you go about doing that?

You make a scene in 3dsMax, but I have no idea how you change their stance or what files you overwrite with the new scene.

ah, thanks for the info 
i know the kit menu previe is in USER/Program Files/Red Storm Entertainment/Ghost Recon/mods/[mod name]/Map/Main_Menu. i've edited the BG it had before today, so everything is housed there.

You'll need a changed USER/Program Files/Red Storm Entertainment/Ghost Recon/Mods/[mod name]/Motion/2512_tks_dmo.bmf.
